But apparently real.
Why else would this poor guy be cowering with a shotgun?

Gotta go in for a couple of hours to close the store down. At least we won’t be open during the hurricane like last time.:smack:
[History Channel]Pyramid Power![/History Channel]
Flytrap ,you don’t keep out invisible clowns with a shotgun. You use a mime field.
Well, I now have a stove/range and microwave that work, so maybe I’ll start eating in again. No sign of the plumbers, so no dishwasher or bathtub/sink operation, so there is still work to be done, but the kitchen is finally looking like a kitchen again.
Juliet, hope the bed project comes off well; no screeching sirens, however…
Butters, lots of things on your mind; can make sleeping difficult. Hopefully life gets to being normal and you can sleep in. I’d offer you my eye-shades (from my last overseas flight), but it’s a bit far to drive them down there.
Ruble, winter wardrobe?!? I haven’t had to take my lightweight jacket off the hook yet here.
Red, bought a 43" 4K TV for about S328 at Wal-Mart. Probably could have done as well at Target, but had gone to Wally’s place for some groceries and got the lazies. It’s sitting in a box waiting for the remodel to be done.
Thinking about a short nap before soccer practice…
With a sign that reads, “Picnic Area”.
I took a pill-induced nap this afternoon because I was tired of crying and didn’t feel like being awake. Now I’ve woken up and I’m drinking coffee and trying to mentally prepare myself to practice my clarinets.
My friends have plans, jobs, futures. I’m just working on trying to survive.
So it is.

I went to the teeth doctor this morning too, Swampy. [del]Demented[/del] great minds think alike!
When I went to the sto yesterday I forgot to get chickie juice and frozen veg. Also I need to find some King Kelly orange marmalade somewhere. Since Kroger came out with their own, much too sweet, store brand they don’t stock King Kelly anymore.
Bother!
Metal Mouse, the screeching all comes from my son when I tell him it’s bed time.
Midget, sometimes the best thing you can do is sleep. Sure, your friends look like they’ve got it all together, but we don’t know what’s going on in their heads and hearts. To others, I look like I’ve got it all together: a decent house, a decent job, a good husband, good kids… but there are some days I struggle to get moving in the morning. Days when I’m so depressed it just doesn’t seem worth it. But I put the smile on and head to work, or put the smile on and deal with the kids, etc. So don’t judge yourself against others. (BTW, Aaron Rodgers is just about my age, and when I’m bumming about my age, I tend to dwell on how successful he is. But then I realize I have things he doesn’t have, like awesome kids or a great friendship with my siblings, or the ability to go to Meijer without being mobbed by cameras and fans.)
Going to take the kiddos through the drive-thru for dinner tonight. Need to get some supplies for my weekend project, since I don’t have oil-based primer and MDF will bubble and warp with latex paint. So I’m off to get a few extra roller covers and primer and such.
I’m glad your management isn’t being stupid this time.
Stay safe!
Home. Supper is jazzed-up hamburger helper stroganoff. Jazzed up means I added chopped onions, mushrooms, and green peas. It’s all cooked up, but it’s got to cool down.
I stopped at Food Lion on the way home, but I didn’t get milk because I didn’t know if we needed it. We needed it. I had to run to Dollar General - the lines there were EIGHT PEOPLE DEEP!! Their parking lot always seems to be full. It’s amazing! And their milk is 4¢ cheaper than Food Lion!
After dinner, chillage shall ensue. And I may sleep with Mel tonight. I need to sleep.
Leftovers have been supped. No more leftover fridge food in da cave. YAY! Ground beast is thawin’ out. Tomorrow is taco night at El Rancho Swampy. OLÈ!
doggie let us not fall into the trapeze of makin’ atrocious circus puns.
Jazzed-up HH wasn’t bad. I think it’s time to assume the crochet position.
{{{sunny and pooka}}}
swampy, I’m glad the trip to the dentist went well. My turn’s Monday.
Juliet, it sounds like Romeo Jr’s room will be fun.
**{{{emily}}}
doggio**, stay safe!
I finished up a project last evening in the studio and will spend tonight cleaning things up.
Juliet The project sounds cool.
Midget any news on seeing someone? And don’t judge yourself against other people and “supposed to be”. You do you.
Wiser words are seldom spoken. We all have expectations; life is what gets handed to us, just meet it the best you can.
The plumbers showed up about 4PM and are still here; I’m glad they’re getting the plumbing done, but I’m hongry and would like to get out for some sustenacne rahter than rely on sammiches again. Soccer practice got rained and thundered out, so there is that.
Looks like the work will go into next week. I’m hoping for the 20th as my “move into the rest of my house again”. I can see why people only do this once every twenty years or so…
Yeah, there is news, the news being that I’m still on two waiting lists, including the one I’ve been on for over a year.
{{{{{Midget}}}}}.
Time to try to sleep. Or time to lay here until 2ish for the third night in a row.
Stay safe Doggiooo
Had one monsoon at 6. Took forever to get the Help desk to help me shut down the store. But now I wait.
If I said I wouldn’t make circus animal puns , I’d be lion.
For what do you wait Doggio? Are you still at work? I thought they said you could go home. Stay safe.
Midget Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I think Sari posted some online resources. Did you look at any of those? I had them up for a while because one of them has some links for chronic pain, which is my thang. I can send it over if you want. I think a lot of those were low cost or no cost. Stupid world with its stupid lists. grumble, grumble
Only if they bring their paychecks.
But sparingly ------- a mime is a terrible thing to waste.
(I am sooooo ashamed of myself)
We have an obscene amount of clothing and doing the swap-out takes a couple weeks. Some stuff, some shirts and jackets, are out year-round but most we switch around the seasons. Our usual benchmarks are Penns Colony in the fall and April Cousin Walter’s Day in the spring.
When I was a kid ------------ you could basically put all the clothes I had at any given moment in a medium suitcase and this included school, church, play and everything else combined. And almost all of that was hand-me-downs. So once I grew up and could buy my own without needing to justify it I went a little over-the-top. Know the old saying “been there, done that, got the t-shirt”? Well, we have like 600+ t-shirts. And a couple hundred sweatshirts and a couple dozen coats and jackets. But like the meat cleavers -------- I can now and I will.
I was going to say something but I don’t have a dog act in this fight. So I’ll just pony up my two cents and seal the whole thing off.
