And it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume 1 or 2 more come in the next day to take their place (maybe not actually “in jail,” but you get the point) if the presently fermenting group did get kicked in a timely manner.
I would expect an illegal alien sitting in jail to complete his or her sentence before being deported. And there’s also the logistical impossibility of deporting all of them that quickly.
I’s far from certain which, if any, of his promises he intends to attempt to keep. He clearly has no problem with bald faced lies, and He is certainly possessed of enough ego to feed the rubes what they want to hear till he gets the prize then dumping them.
I’m not predicting it personally, but there is potential of the whole presidency turning into a pissing contest between his vision, (whatever it may be) and the Repubs thinking he will push their agenda.

The best part will be four years from now when you and your ilk realize their lives have gotten objectively worse. The jobs won’t have returned, the social safety net will be in tatters, and millions will be without healthcare.

I’d like to think that the Democratic Party can take a majority in the House (and, I hope, the Senate) in two years. But many districts have been so gerrymandered that they’re safely in one camp or the other.
