The going to work early MMP

It’s a little past 9 in the morning, and I’m headbanging to some cello music. Heh. :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope to get a lot accomplished today.

**FCD **has gone to check out some work he did on his bike yesterday, then off to order a new tire for said bike - his rear tire is pretty worn. I’ve got the first load of clothes on the line and the second will go out shortly, with a third to follow. That will conclude laundry day.

I haz a hongree! Breakfast did not stick to my ribs. Dunno what I want but I want something. Oh, it’s so difficult to be me!!!

Happy Saturday!

I woke up too early and fell back asleep ad now got up too late.

It’s a beautiful 70 degrees outside, sunny and breezy with a projected high of 81.

Sticky and Swampy I’m hoping no news is good news. I wanted to call but I was afraid to call but I guess if it is bad news they would have called me.
Sorry about the cold** Sticky**
Happy mowing Swampy

Spidey why would you want to ruin a perfectly good Saturday by cleaning? Although I will be irking all day so who am I to talk.

Glad you are feeling better Gotti, any talk of surgery makes me ::shudder:: I don’t know when I got so squeamish.

Laundry is done. Higgs has been bathed. **FCD **is now washing his motorcycle.

I need to bring out the yarn and get the ad posted.

Mawnin Mumpers and Happy Saturday

I have been blowing and going since 5:30 and am finally eating some brekkie, had to pick up a generator for the show with Candlebox tomorrow and need to depart for my awards show shortly. Rock and Roll time is not supposed to start this early.

Anyhoo gotta run {{{{{hugs}}}} to those that need em

Cheers

Jim

For most of the past year me and my wife have been dealing with having only 1 car, despite the fact that we both work and really need 2. A month ago we are finally able to buy a second car. Yesterday on my way home from work the car started acting up, so I got put in the shop. Today I get a call from the shop, the previous owner apparently never changed the damn oil and now the sludge has gotten so thick that the engine can’t even turn over. I don’t have the money to fix this, the warranty won’t cover it, so my only option is to try to talk the dealer into giving me my money back for the car.

FUCK

Does you state have a lemon law?

Been working on music today. I should practice the ukulele a bit later on.

Last weekend, there was rain in my tent, this weekend it’s raining tents. When I went to the dump this morning, someone had put 4 tents along the fence to give away. Damn right I took them all. All are intact, but are missing easily replaced parts like ropes, stakes, or poles. I claimed one, and saved another for VunderKind, and I’m trying to find a Boy Scout troop that wants the other two.

Sario, why doesn’t the warranty cover it? I’d go to the BBB if the dealer doesn’t make it right. You didn’t break it in one month.

Warranty only covers specific parts, not general items like sludge. The dealer is just one guy who runs one small lot, so a BBB complaint probably won’t mean much. The lemon law is pretty much what I’m counting on, otherwise I’m screwed.

Howdy Y’all! Today I have participated in the mowage of the back forty over to the church house and on my own have finished up mowin’ da yahd at da cave and at OYKW’s place. I’ve also had some pool time. OYKW, JDD, Partner and MOG are still out there. I came on in because I feel like I’ve gotten enough sun today. 'Tis pleasant out, not to hawt but I have been in the sun quite a bit today.

Dindin tonight shall be grilled poke tenderloin, baked N.O.T. and sallit. Martini time shall also take place.

Rio sucks about the car. Hope the lemon law covers ya.

Ok, on to other things!

Laundry is all in and folded and put away. I’m dressed for the ball game - all in black because that’s how these HOGs roll, altho my t-shirt declares I’m a Freakin’ Ray of Sunshine! We’ll be leaving shortly for the game. Higgs had her dinner 2 hours early - she’s not gonna be happy. Oh well - sucks to be a dog.

Gotta be cotton for anything that’ll get exposed to a lot of heat. Acrylic will melt on you.

As we’ve all learned the hard way.

sniff I love the smell of melted acrylic in the mornin’!

Dindin has been et. Martini (only one) has been drank. Drunk? Drinked? Da bear is beyond tahrd. Thus I shall retire to the bedroom and watch some teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Irked, came home.

Have you been standing downwind of my customers again?:dubious: and I did poke chops, too. GMTA

Rio, that sucks. Hope the lemon law helps.

Sario, w the BBB it’s not that they’d have much pull w him but he should be motivated to avoid a basd report. Hope something, whatever, works for you.

Good morning! Another gloriously cool start to the day!

The HOG event was not too bad. We met at the gas station down the street from us and rode as a group to the stadium. We arrived about an hour before the game, thinking they’d start the feed beforehand. Nope. It didn’t come out till the game started - we missed the first inning because we were standing in line.

I don’t know if someone from the club chose the menu or if it was standard, but all they had were burgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, and mac-n-cheese. The closest thing to a veggie would be either the potato chips or the ketchup and relish. Dessert was ice cream sammiches. Granted, one doesn’t go to a ball game for its nutritional value, but doggone, they didn’t even have sliced 'maters or lettuce to go with the burgers!

The pavilion area was nice - just above the right field wall. One of our group got a foul ball and one got a home run ball. And once it got dark enough, watching the game was easier for me - in that transition from just before sunset till full dark, it was too shadowy to suit me.

We left during the 7th inning stretch with our team ahead 4-2. We also got to see 2 double plays by our guys and twice the manager came out to yell at the 1st base umpire for bad calls. Not that it mattered - in fact, it never matters, does it? Anyway, had we stayed till the end, there were to be fireworks, but it was getting chilly and we were both tired.

On the way across the parking lot, we saw an ambulance all lit up. Turns out one from our group was in it - heart issues, I think. Since nothing happened in the pavilion area, I’m assuming she was out in the smoking area when it struck… (That’s another thing - no smoking in the stadium! I’m assuming it’s to keep butts and other trash out of there, rather than a concern about smoke in the air, but personally, I’m glad they were segregated, since at least half of the group smoke, and I can’t stand being around it.)

Just after we pulled out of the parking lot, I was about to remind **FCD **to be aware of deer, when we saw 2 grazing on the side of the road. Remembering what the deer did to my car, I was paranoid till we got to the more heavily traveled road. I was glad I had my hoodie, too - temps were in the upper 60, and the wind chill of going 50+MPH would have frozen me, delicate flower that I am…

Today, I may mow the ditch. Not sure what else - don’t wanna over-plan anything.

Happy Sunday!
