The going to work early MMP

if they’re anything like the almond cookies, I’ll bet they’re yummy

Canceled my PT and am waiting at the McDoctor to get my back checked. I thought my body would at least wait until I turned 40 to fall apart on me. :frowning:

They are indeed the almond-flavoured cookies, in fact.

They’re all right - just a bit overcooked on the bottoms (maybe not overcooked, just more cooked than usual.) Hopefully nobody will notice.

Lazy afternoon continues. I finished one hat, and I’m almost done with another. I may knit a third, just because.

I’m also watching Daniel Deronda on Netflix. Four episodes - I’ve watched the first 2.

**FCD **is somewhere in Ohio - not sure how far he’ll ride today, but he said he was feeling really good, especially since it’s not raining on him any more. I’m wondering if he’ll try for Indiana tonight. We shall see.

Meanwhile, mac-n-cheese for supper, because it’s quick and easy.

Wait a minute.
You saw a baby chipping pieces off of a sparrow?
Good gad woman, you should have intervened!

I was walking by a parked car, and suddenly I saw a baby bird come out from under the car, not far from my feet. It flew clumsily onto the car and slid down the windshield, then flew off.

It looked something like this:
baby chipping sparrow (not my own picture)

How about Dea Tacita - the Silent Goddess - the Roman queen of the dead? Or Mictecacihuatl, the Aztec Lady of the Dead? Or Meng Po, the Chinese Lady of Forgetfulness?

Do not taunt Deathmistress. :dubious:

My name is Chatty Cathy and I’m going to KILL YOU…if you don’t change my dress.

Moommm has the coolest job ever!

Finally home; two loads of laundry done, too. Go me!

Now I want watermelon, dammit!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Off to knit with me!

I now know when and how to protect myself against fallout. I am also never eating a hot dog again. Not that I do anyway. I don’t like hot dogs.

Just in case anyone is wondering, lemon stuffed green olives taste kind of weird. I’m surprised that the almond stuffed ones didn’t.

(snitches cookie while EmilyG isn’t looking) (munching) They taste fine to me.

I can live with that. ('specially since I have the impression that we don’t get to ‘pick’ our own nickname)
Kind of like ‘bikers’, you don’t get to pick your own nickname when you’re ‘accepted’ among a group of them, either. I got hung with ‘Crash’. :smack:
Don’t laugh, it beats some of the other guy’s nicknames, one is called ‘Worm’ and another is called ‘Troll’. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is how ‘divemaster’ is written…
דיואמאסטאר
in Hebrew.

I ain’t Jewish, JSYK. (Not that I have any problem being identified as Jewish. I was engaged to a ‘JAP’ many moons ago, and still count her as a close friend.:))
Probably more accurate to say that I’m… ‘undecided’.

Had a breakthrough at work. Several hours of banging head against table has ceased. Thank og.

I put the cookies in a bag to attempt to soften them to my liking. I tried another cookie after supper. My softening attempt seems to have worked.

I should try to go practice the clarinet. My tongue seems to be on its way to healing. Maybe I’ll practice some legato (slurred) exercises, as they don’t use the tongue so much.

(“Slurring” in music means playing several notes together in a smooth fashion so there are no gaps between the notes - it doesn’t mean trying to play music after you’ve had a few too many beers. )

Please don’t encourage him.
and BTW Dive Master in Hebrew is אמן צלילה

:stuck_out_tongue: I’ll try not to, anymore.

I stand corrected, thank you ma’am.

I blame it on the ‘online’ translator, cause I sure as heck don’t know Hebrew.

Howdy Y’all ! Home from men’s night over to the church house. ‘Twas great as usual. The [del]total bs sessions[/del] commraderie means a lot to me. Just really fun bein’ outside of the “church” concept and just carryin’ on like everyday folk. One great thing tonight is one of our usual attendees has come through chemo and has been declared cancer free. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Or as we Whiskypalians are fond of sayin’, “Thanks Be To God!” Great, fantastic news about a great, fantastic guy.

midget I’ve had a few beerverages. I could probably slur some notes. :stuck_out_tongue:

I got reminded of sump’n tonight I’m glad I got reminded of or else I would have forgotten. This Sattidy is my “Ministry of the Back Forty Team’s” time to mow the part of the church house yahd we don’t contract to have mown. See, there’s ten acres of land and the part we call “the back forty” is taken care of by three teams who are scheduled every two months durin’ mowin’ season. With any luck, we might even get to mow as it’s not supposed to rain Firday or Sattidy this week.

Speakin’ of rain, I hear boom booms in the background here at da cave. I imagine there shall be rain/tstorms/apocalypse within the hour.

And on that note… Nitey Nite Y’all!
