lswote, I may not be Don Juan. Hell, I may not have been out on a date since 1995. But even a romantic flop like me can tell you that, when you treat people like this, the reason why you’re alone and miserable isn’t much of a mystery. It’s because you act like a confrontational idiot.

I was actually behind you when I first started reading your posts on your being lonely. Hell, I even looked past your incessant whining on the subject, as I have been known to do the same on occasion. However: when you started attacking the people who were merely offering their advice, just because you didn’t happen to like what they were saying, I started wondering if I’d judged you too charitably. Well, now I know I did.

As I said to everyone else who complained about it, I was upset that people were specifically referencing me. It was mean and hurtful or them so I was mean and hurtful back. I don’t think a group of men on this board who did what this women are doing would be tolerated. If someone started the ugly men of the straight dope and continually denoted the qualification for entry was they had dealt with such and such a putz woman, everybody would be at arms.

An OP has no control over what happens to his or her thread after it is started, of course. But I certainly can offer my opinion: You are taking a fun and enjoyable thread and attempting to turn it into yet another pity party. Please leave this thread. You are not wanted here.

Not true. Though I was not happy with the thread, I didn’t react until Shayna posted this to the thread calling me a putz.

Jezebel, you and Shayna both are making the wrong assumption here. Shayna feels I am still whining and you feel I should want to stop going deeper in the hole. You both missed my point.
