Closing has been pushed back a few days due to some repairs having to be made. They’ve been made, and the VA appraiser is coming back on Monday to check it out and sign off. Then documents get generated for signature, checks are written, and keys are handed over. Then locks are changed. 
In other news, I figured out why John Madden drinks. It’s because of insufferable Steelers fans. Airman found another stupid documentary about the Immaculate Reception. I guess this means we’re not going out.

doggio, the last V8 SUV I had was murdered by another SUV during a snowstorm in 1990. The biggest thing I’ve owned since was a Granx Prix. I’ll take my 44 mpg econobox any day.

I have just collapsed after a loooong day. I am tahrd. I want beer and food to magically appear. Just interviewed another contractor to get the little stuff done before listing. Just gaack. I am very glad today is over. Must eat something. Must feed children. Must find out why husband is not home. Eventually will talk normally again. Maybe.
Fixed The Bitter Half’s computer. Hooray! Then discovered that the microwave/oven combo won’t work. Boo! The Boy looked up the error code - looks like the touch screen control module is shot. Sigh. It’s a reasonably simple repair, but I haven’t even called anyone about the price of the part, because I suspect that I’ll have to wait a week or so before I can afford it. (My cousin has an appliance repair service here in town, and he would probably front the cost, but it’s not that urgent.)
Poor Tony paid dearly for the computer repair, though. The teen girl has cement pond plans tomorrow, and discovered tonight that her swimsuit top no longer fits. So Tony had to take the 15-year-old shopping. For swimwear. He called on the way home: “I have never been so uncomfortable in my life, sitting there in the waiting room while a teenager brought swimsuits to ask if they were okay. I’m stopping by the beer store.”
Which reminds me ---- we had a car parked next to us near Dallas PA that made us think of you right off. It was from Butts County Georgia. You have to love states that include the county on the license plates. But I’ll always wonder how the folks from Butts feel about it.
Up at the University of Jawja, one of the buildings in the athletic complex was named after two former football coaches - Wally Butts and Somebody-or-another Mehre. Yeah, students inevitably call it the Butt Smear Building.
If I could swing the payments, I’d buy the roller skate I rented to drive to Nashville. I like little cars.

In the next few weeks, The Boy will have a New To Him vehicle - his girlfriend’s grandparents are selling their very nice, well-maintained Mazda 3, and offered it at a great price, and will hold for a few weeks until we have the cash. I feel good about the purchase, because the car has a lot more safety features than his current ride, and will be more reliable for road trips and such.
Secretly, I’m also thrilled because I will inherit the little pickup truck. I don’t mind the big V8 family mobile when I’m actually transporting the family. But the little Tacoma is lots more fun!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 96 and partly cloudy for the day. Good thing we’re goin’ to do the yahd thing in Parrott early this mornin’. No worries about wakin’ the neighbors up because there are none to wake up. Anywho plans are to be done with everything by ten this mornin’ and headin’ back to da cave to relaxate with some cee-mint pond time. This evenin’ we’re goin’ up to large and in charge Americus, Jawja with JDD and Partner to meet JDD’s sis and have an earlyish dindin at a good restaurant there. Since OYKW and I won’t be drivin’ we can indulge in a couple of adult beverages as well. Lookin’ forward to that.

Welcome back ruble! Butts County is also home to the prison where executions are carried out. The capitol of Butts County is Jackson and the high school in named Jackson High. I guess <snerk>Butts! <snerk> County High School was a little too much even for them.

Kinda, sorta slept in today - I rolled out of bed around 6:30, but I did wake twice during the night. Dammit. **FCD **was going to go on a motorcycle ride today, but he’s feeling like crap still (nasty cold) so he’s staying home. I’ve got a day of laundry and yard work planned. Good times!

It’s cool and cloudy outside. Today is yard work day, it’s not supposed to rain. It’s also housework day, I may have company tomorrow.
Niece1 and her husband may be coming to get the boat, I have to confirm they are still coming. Also, my friend whose mother died may stop in on her way back from her visit home for the memorial service.
I need to ask the neighbor if I can cut down the two maple saplings on her side of the yard. They are growing right next to the concrete pad my shed sits on and I don’t want the roots causing trouble under there. I doubt she will care, Sah-son does most of her yard work anyway.
Cup o’noodles for breakfast, feels nice on a sore throat.
I need to stop wasting time online and get to irl around here.
Cracker Barrel fed us. Towels are on the line, jeans are in the washer, and we did some rearranging so **FCD **would have a place to store his books. When I’m done with laundry, I’ll drive John Deere around the yard and hack the grass. Tonight is supposed to be cool, so I’ll do the push mowing in the morning.

Alarm @ 4am, off to launch field to watch the fog roll in. So I got in the car, drove an hour to run a 10 mile (training) race. Did a lot faster than planned. Free beer ticket to so 8m even starting happy hour early! 
Now off to the sto’ to see if I can find everyday kix since I left mine at home.
We’re going to celebrate FCD’s 60th this way! I just need to save up 6 days of leave.
Well F that. Standing at the corner of the bar; barmaid gives me a beer list; then iI hear that the free beer ticket is only for del Lite[/del] [Del]Diet[/del] “Dite”. I say to the person next to me that I’m not getting anything (I have no $ as my wallet is in the car in the parking lot outside) so the bartender literally takes it out of my hands & puts it away. I say “What the H…” to him & he says, Well since you’re not getting anything I put it away." They had just started awards ceremony & we were waiting for that. I said wasn’t done with it & he suggested could leave, which I did…w/of buying anything…but not before speaking to the manager. :mad:
Howdy Y’all! Mowage in Parrott is completed and we are all shiowered. N.O.L. has also been ingested which was chili, slaw, onion dawgs from Jimmie’s Hot Dawgs. Glad we got through before the big heat set in cause it’s hawt outside! We shall enjoy some a/c for a while and maybe head out to the cee-mint pond a little later.
