The Heat Is On-A Start Of Summer MMP

Finally got the front yard mowed.
The laundry is done except for being carried upstairs.
The bushes out front have been trimmed, still need to weed whack and spray some weed killer.
Have a few more branches that need to be sawed into manageable lengths.

Still need to vacuum, mop, dust, clean the toilets, and trim the dog’s toenails.
I can’t get hold of anybody to see if they are still coming tomorrow.

Oh, have to buy a flashlight. I can’t believe we still don’t have one.

As soon as my load of unders comes out of the dryer and gets folded and put away, I’ll mow the back yard and maybe the front yard. Then, who knows…

Unders are done and stowed. Just finished mowing the front and back yards, plus I rode the path thru the woods. I need to get back there with nippers to take down overhanging branches. Tomorrow, maybe.

**FCD **is napping and I may assume the Netflix position.

A quiet Saturday. Did a Walmart run. Washed sheets and cat bedding. Off to yoga in a bit. Nothing going on tonight, which is good. Tomorrow I have a riding lesson, then out to dinner with friends.

Near us is a place named Derry PA. Which is OK until they formed a unified school district and named it Derry Area High. The derriere jokes abound.

The Sportie is all inspected and legal for another year. Cruised through the cemetery out that way to visit Dad and Grandma Rose a bit. Now its time to consider dinner. Thinking burgers or maybe egg-rolls.

Laundry is all in and stowed. I’m starving and I don’t know what I want. I wish the Dinner Fairy would show up with exactly what I want, whatever that is…

I worked, picked up some groceries(salad fixin’s and you used meat panchetta cubes). So it’s Italian Night: garden salad with panchetta and Romano cheese with a balsamic vinaigrette, Vermouth rice ,and Italian style breaded chicken. And a martini.

:eek::mad::mad::mad: Bad move Mr. Bartender.

Dear Diary:
Day Three: We were bombarded by Confederate militia who mistook us for the Yankee Navy restarting the War Of Northern Aggression.
Day Four: We marveled at the Space Age, and later were treated to a banjo serenade by some locals ,who only wanted to hear our pig imitations in return.
Day Five: Gator Petting Zoo. Thrilling, but it costs an arm and a leg.
Day Nine: Lost everything on Red. Had to sell a kidney, and spend the last two days scrubbing bilges

Sari, last time I needed a flashlight, I ended up with $300 in tools.

Neighbor down the street walked up.
Somebody took his handicapped parking space and he wanted to know if we know who took it.
It’s nice of him to walk around looking, because it’s a $700 fine and your car gets towed.
He’s a lot nicer than I am, there’s a lot of parking spaces free today - absolutely no reason to take a handicapped space.
I hate rude people.

Then in the things that make you go hmmm category. Twice today I’ve had people park in front of my house only to walk down the block to their? house, even though there was parking closer to where they live.
I always think it’s cheaters who do that.

I had a fish sticks tv dinner, oh yum. Sah-son used to like them, now he doesn’t, so I’m trying to get rid of them. I told him I want the freezer cleaned out before we get groceries again.

Doggio I was bound and determined that we would not accumulate junk in this house.
I have more tools than I ever thought I’d need, and I keep getting more. I’m running out of room to store them.

Howdy Y’all! Back from dindin in Americus. We et at a Mexican place that was really good. OYKW and I had steak, shrimpie, and chikin fajitas for two. We got stuffded. YUM! Also since we were not drivin’ we each had a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig margarita. They were not stingy with the tequila. Now ‘tis attemptin’ to rain and I am told tstorms are in the area. Bring it on I say!

I had a calzone for supper - I ordered broccoli and double mushroom. Most of the broccoli consisted of chopped up stems. ugh! Flavorless with nasty texture. Won’t order that again!

It’s time to veg the evening away.

I have a two car garage that only holds three motorcycles at the moment so if you need tool storage ----------
OK – you’ve heard of crazy cat ladies. Well I’m a crazy tool guy. I just bought several wrenches this weekend that are basically 1&5/16 to 2&3/4 by 16ths. I have no bolts that size at the moment but should I find any ---------- and the whole bunch were only $10!
We felt exotic tonight (old joke I will explain shortly) so we went with egg-rolls.

(We often used to stop at this little pizza shop/diner in a little town called Bald Eagle. One trip we stopped for lunch and the waitress was all excited because they had some new food item that had just been invented somewhere. She really couldn’t explain it and she didn’t know the right words to describe it but it was called an “egg roll”. It was a roll but she didn’t think it really had much, if any, egg in it. :smack: )

It’s bloody cold here.

An amazingly cool and lovely morning for late June - barely 60°! In an hour or so, I’ll don some grubbies and mow the ditch. Then again, no rush - it’s going to be nice today, low humidity, and not hot. We’ll see what **FCD **wants to do for breakfast before I make chore plans.

And next weekend is a 3-day weekend! I didn’t realize that till I was watching the weather guy this morning. Yay for 3-day weekends!!!

Other than mowing, no plans for today. We’ll just see how it all goes. Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 93 and rain for the day. The rain is supposed to happen later today. We shall see. Today’s plans include deheathenization followed for a reception/N.O.L. for the couple who got married after church a few Sundays back. Then I need to get back to da cave and pack so’s I can head up to Ye Olde Home Towne and then to Peachtree City tomorrow. That should be enough to keep me outta trouble.

BatKid I’ve wandered what it would be like to experience my July birthday in Australia. Also, I’ve always wanted to experience Christmas and New Year’s Day in Summer. I should consider both as a possibility since I am soon to be a retired geezer.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence at some point.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Happy Sunday!

It’s nice and cool outside.

So much to do and so little time to do it. I still don’t know if anybody is coming by today, kind of annoying not knowing. My niece hasn’t answered my calls or texts. I know they are busy all the time, but it only takes a sec to reply to a text.

Ruble - I wish I had a garage. Actually, the shed is plenty big, but there are no shelves, hooks, or pegboard - another thing to add to the list. It does have a mess of spiders though.

The back yard is getting a bit tall in the area where I planted the wild flower seeds. However, we don’t know which are flowers and which are weeds, and I guess we won’t until they start blooming. Between that and the overgrowth where the bunny nest is, the yard looks like hell.

Going to get something to eat and take a shower. Of course everybody will call while I’m in the shower - never fails.

A Dickensian white Christmas is something I’d love to experience too, but I suspect it’s all a myth and would most likely be mainly inconvenient.

The only problem with a summer Christmas is the wintery iconography everywhere. I think you’d enjoy the experience, so I hope you get to give it a try.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off again today. It’s 64 at themomemnt.

except Australia is the land where 100% of the wildlife, and 60% of the rocks are poisonous.

BatKid don’t come where I am if you want a white Christmas. I live in a “no snow” zone. Seriously Christmas in Jawja is more likely to be wet, cold, and dreary as anything, although last year the temp was 80s Amurrkin and stormy. Then again, I celebrate my bday with a party at the cee-mint pond which is always fun.

I need to motivate. I don’t want to motivate. However, I need to so I shall. Eventually. Really. I will. Motivate, that is.

 I have been remiss!
