The I do not want to go to work MMP

Erranding is done. I have my new specs. Roxy is still napping - huzzah!

The foundation for the building is done - pics on my FB page. The Amish crew is scheduled for Mar 18, so 10 days hence. Once they get it erected, the foundation guys will come back, pour the floor, then finish the landscaping around the new pile o’dirt. And once the floor is set, we’ll start work on the interior.

**{{{BooFae}}} **- healthy thoughts beaming across the Atlantic. Hope your mother can be kept comfortable. Cancer is scary.

TB, vent when you need to. But keep us informed on the Mundane things too (after all, that’s the name for this subForum) because they are important to in keeping an even keel.

Boofae, sorry about the work load and even sorrier about mum’s diagnosis. {{{ }}} and good thoughts from here.

Butters, hope everything goes OK for Husband-unit at the horsepistol. Let us know.

Got up and for a change made myself presentable and went out shopping. Rainy all morning and soccer this afternoon will probably be called off, but the Parks folks haven’t made it official. Rain all day tomorrow too. Oh joy.

At least I had BLT’s for the morning meal.

All ya’all take care now.

This round could be -------- interesting. The new Lord High Muckity-muck saw my Knoebels shirt and when she caught me alone asked about it. While she has mostly lived in the south she had family in the Valley and had been there so -------- we spent about 10 minutes talking about Wild Adventures when they were filming Zombieland, KD, Knoebels and all the other places we share in common. Turns out she is a fellow amusement park nut like us and has been in ACE. One of my bosses spotted us and rushed over to see what we were talking about and she just smiled and said “Oh — various fun things” and then walked off. I think I may be bullet-proof the next week until they figure out we were basically just talking about fun stuff. (Next chance I get – possibly opening weekend at Knoebels – then I can drop some other things.

I’ll be offline a few days while we rearrange some furniture; don’t ask. Getting ready for the coming spring repairs.

Hi all.

I’m still around. Still trying to move.

Worked, came home, made dinner. Going out the the hockey game.

: waves at Midget :

Daughter’s car needs $$$ repairs, and there’s concern about the transmission. She’s in a real funk about it all - as might be expected. I gave her my opinion of what they should do - ball’s in her court now. It sucks, but they really don’t have many options. So we shall see.

There was a bit of snow mixed with rain, but no accumulation, and it should be ending soon. Sunday, we may get near 70° - and the weird weather continues.

Supper tonight will be grab whatever. Dunno if I’ll eat or not.

Haven’t heard back from a place I wanted to rent.

If I can’t find something soon, I’m homeless a week from now. A little less than a week, as my room should be cleared out by 1 PM a week from now.

I should be working on this situation. too depressed at the moment. Maybe will resume later tonight? Don’t know.

Apparently the SDMB hates homeless people so much that I killed the MMP. Haha.

Whatever.

It’s not dead Midget. Hugs to you. Here’s hoping something turns up for you.

Our power went out at irk at 4 pm and around 420 the boss called and said to shut it down as the repair was gonna take a couple hours. I was happy to get out a half hour early. By the time I got home the power was on. We scrounged for supper cause the steaks were still frozen solid. I made hubs some sandwiches and still have to figure something for myself. Maybe an egg sammich. Or maybe just some banana bread since I picked up a loaf today. I am sure there is a frozen pizza in there. I will figure something out.

Happy weekend everyone.

Thanks.

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude.

And I didn’t mean to imply that anyone in the MMP hates me, or hates homeless people.
I guess I wish I could ask for advice elsewhere on the board, like in my own thread, but seeing as there are too often threads demonizing homeless people, and/or judging not-well-off people and blaming them for their own poverty/mental state/physical state/choices they make, I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to start a thread.

Howdy Y’all! Been a day of bzziness and sloth. All in all not too bad. Sup got cooked and et and we are chillin’. Matter of fact OYKW is abed as I post. He was tahrd, poor thing. Tomorrow I must needs take care of church stuff and do some errands.

{{{Midget}}} hope things work out findin’ a new place soon. Any chance you could stay with your dad until you get sump’n lined up>

{{{BooFae}}} sorry about your Mum. I shall keep her and you in my prayers. Here’s hopin’ the irk crazies end soonest.

I could stay with my dad, but it’s not ideal.

Moooooom, did FCD ever serve in combat? His dreams sound a lot like my ex’s PTSD nightmares.

Good to hear from you again BooFae. Sorry to hear about your mum. I hope that she is treated well medically and kept comfortable as possible.

I hope everything goes well at the horsepistol butters.

I hope your housing situation gets better soonest emily.

I felt good enough to go back to irk today after 2.5 days of a z-pack. I got out around 2:30, bought groceries, swung through Popeye’s for supper and came home.

Once here, I spent 1.5 hours on the phone with the ATT customer support guy attempting to reestablish internet connections. After a quarter of a century with ATT, two decades of it being a mobile customer and since the move, a wifi customer as well, I had never experienced outages before, but this is the second time in a month. Both times have been on the weekend and both during rainy weather. This time around, my password had been reset to the original one and it just about took an act of congress to get teh desktop back online (the tablet, notebook, roku and phone weren’t an issue). Once the desktop was back online, it switched my default browser to Opera (I don’t like the format) and it took a while to get back to Chrome. Oy! first world problems.

Tomorrow, I’m going to stay home, try to shake the rest of the crud, fix a nice roast chicken with cornbread dressing and fried cabbage and prep the potluck dish that I’ll take to the heathen meet up Sunday. It’s the first day in our new location and I hope this one works out.

Midget - it may not be ideal but it’s a reasonable stop-gap. Just keep reminding yourself that tough times do pass. We’re all pulling for you!

{{{Midget}}}}. At least you have a last-ditch plan. Now go out and find a place of your own

Passed out uniforms again for a couple of hours then had a big bowl o’salad for dinner. Tomorrow is more uniform distribution and general sloth, as rain is forecast for the whole day.

Midget. Once you do find a place it will be well worth it. Your present roommate sounds like a bitch and you don’t need that in your life. One day you will look back and see it is for the best. And you won’t have to listen to the never ending renovation next door.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.

Up too early because daughter got Roxy up early. Big day for them today. First, there’s swim class. Then they go to Dahlgren to see a former classmate and discuss the photography daughter is doing for her friend’s wedding. Plus friend gets to meet Roxy…

Big day for me too - I’ll be doing some design work for FCD. Simple stuff, but it’ll take a little off his plate. And, naturally, it’s laundry day.

Happy Saturday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 55 Amurrkin out and cloudy (foggy) with a predicted high of 79 and partly cloudy for the day. Does partly cloudy also mean partly N.O.S.? A question to ponder as you all go about your day. I shall betake myself over to the church house to perform various duties in a while. The student group that has stayed in the Parish Hall all week will be leavin’ at some point this mornin’. They may even be gone as I post. Anywho, I shall wait until later in the mornin’ to head out. I shall also make a trip to :eek:Wally*Jr. to pick up a few items. Chili/cheese/slaw dawgs for tonight’s sup. Fart fest to follow.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Life is hard!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Happy Saturday!

It’s a chilly 30 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 45. According to my phone app it is foggy outside, according to my window the sun is shining.
I need to look out front to see if the walk needs shoveling.
Tomorrow is supposed to get up to 70. I hope so, I’m tired of the cold.

Lots of stuff to do today.

Since I’ve been back on thyroid pills my knees aren’t hurting as much.
The left one still doesn’t want to bend, but the right one doesn’t hurt anymore.
Good luck to Mr Butters

I hope you find a new place soon Midget.
