Thank you. And yes, the renovations are still going on next door.
Someone was trying to help me find a new place, and she found an ad that said apartments were available in a building that was currently being renovated, and since I’ve been bothered by renovation noise at my current place for the past 10 months, I just said, “Nope, that’s a dealbreaker.”
Up, caffeinating, brunching, puppy crate cleaned, towels and sheets in the wash. Other than the usual weekend chores, I plan on doing a lot of nothing today.
Did 6 hours of uniform duty and got home before any significant rain arrived (just looked at the radar and it’s coming…). Now to eat and drink (I’ll work on the merry part later).
Howdy Y’all! I did my duties and went to :eek:Wally*Jr. This mornin’ we had a late break of fast, i.e. ten a.m. I made a real one of ham n cheese omelets, grits, and toast. Thus, we have just finished a late N.O.L./early Sup. Now 'tis chill time.
Why is it I’m not surprised that you found an image of a hunky construction worker?
This is going to take some getting used to. The keyboard is fine but the screen is about 12 inches higher than I am used to. But it will work until I get some other things done and break down and get a PowerBook or something. Besides maybe it will inspire me to keep my desk cleaner and less cluttered.
Worked. A large chunk of my customers were acting like somebody removed a scoop of their brains. And it’s not even St. Patrick’s day. But hockey at the VFW tonight.
Albania is there, but I fear Doggerland has cease to be.
I’ll deal with the clocks tomorrow - except for the clock radio in the bedroom - I’ll advance that before I crash.
The balance of my afternoon consisted of laundry and making a blueberry cobbler with fresh blueberries. It was yum. I’ve also done some crocheting and TV-watching. I foresee an early bedtime.
I took Ripple to the dog park. We had the big dog side all to ourselves for a while since everybody was on the small dog side, even though none of them were small dogs. A man with a pitbull came over to the big side. Our dogs sniffed each other then went off in different directions. Eventually they did play a little until Ripple got knocked on his ass, turned all wussie, and hid behind me. A couple of more playful dogs (Irish wolfhoundx and a lab puppy that at 5 months old was way bigger than Ripple) showed u,p but by then I was cold and Ripple said he was ready to go home. We were there for an hour and you’d think he’d been tired when we got home, but no, he was still being a brat.
He’s finally sleeping, so I am getting a bit of a break.
It’s supposed to be nice tomorrow so I think we’ll go back.
I had shrimp and broccoli for dinner, Sah-son had cheeseburgers.
Yes, there are mornings when I feel like crap and it sucks to have to get up early; mornings when the weather stinks; mornings when the buses are late and filled with annoying people.
But my job itself is wonderful. I enjoy having somewhere to go and something productive to do, with co-workers I like.
My clock radio changed itself - this morning (Saturday.) Though when I got up, I realized I had a whole hour more than I thought, so that was good. Plus, that was the closest my clock had ever come to changing itself correctly. (I think maybe it’s from an earlier age when DST was at a different time?)
Supper’s all cleaned up, breakfasts/lunches are prepped for the week, the lentil and tomato stuffed aigplant is ready to go into the oven whilst I purtify for metting with the heathens tomorrow and the clocks are changed. The one in the car doesn’t need changing since I didn’t change it last fall. I’s tahred. Now to finish the document on the Celts.
Evening here and listening to the rain and thunder that has been going off and on for the past 5 hours. Hopefully it will start to dry out Sunday.
I have a couple of wall clocks that have some sort of built-in wireless that allows them to automatically advance, so I don’t have to take them down. Will move the Microwave and Stove times as I head to bed, along with the alarm clock.
