BAD idea going after a subordinate, you know. Aside from “is she really interested in the person or using this for advancement?” question, if she changes her mind about it afterward, you could be looking at sexual harassment charges, etc. (The only reason I’d question this situation is that power imbalance, BTW.)
As for my day, somewhat crampy and majorly cranky. I HATE HORMONES!
The commute home was for once not rage-inducing. Helped that I remembered a Weird Al song that was relevant. I’m sure the video on this isn’t great, but the song itself works well for me.
Blurf. All sorts of excitement on campus today. The students who protested yesterday afternoon (they’re allowed, there’s no teaching on Wednesday afternoon) have once again occupied a building that nobody wants to use. And now we have one of the teaching unions on strike so there are pickets blocking all the main driving routes onto campus.
Other than that, nothing to report except that I went to pub last night, went to bed late and consequently am rather snoozy this morning.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 36 Amurrkin and windy out with a predicted high of 53 for the day, sunny, and windy. This is south Jawja Winter weather the way it’s supposed to be. Well, we are supposed to get lots of rain, which we have this Winter. Speakin’ of rain that’s what Sattidy’s weather looks like.
Today, I have to start off in the north forty, so I’m lazin’ a bit at da cave. I need to be there at nine this mornin’ and it makes no since to me to drive twelve miles south to the orifice just to head north a half an hour later, so ima start off from da cave.
I have the strangest urge to set up an anti-hot air balloon missle launcher in the back yahd. I just don’t understand why I feel the need for this.

Watched a Mikado cast rehearsal yesterday (I’m in the orchestra and didn’t need to be there, but I like to watch sometimes.) It was a lot of fun!
We have two conductors. This was a different conductor than the one I mentioned last time. This conductor is an old friend of mine and lives near me, so we rode the bus home together. The conductor was so tired that he was falling asleep. Aww 
It’s always nice to ride the subway and bus with friends.
I’d been having a crappy day, so going to rehearsal made me feel better.
Anyway, off to work now.

I’m still all in a tizzy with extra work and ice storms, so I skimmed yesterday and this morning’s posts, at best.

Much blurf to be had. Someone secretly changed out my throat for sandpaper and hoped I wouldn’t notice. Hope today goes quick but dont have much optimism. At least I dont have to irk tomorrow and will be going to my favorite Greek restaurant for dins. Home made hummus and then grilled eggplant chicken pasta. YUM!

I stupidly got some TacoHell for myself yesterday, this morning I feel like I have a boulder in my belly. It didn’t even taste good and today I will suffer for it.

Howdy from large and in charge Americus (pronounced Ah-murr-kiss), Jawja aka the north forty! I am here to [del]torture[/del] test some program participants. Ok, yeah they are takin’ some tests. They could do these on their own but have not, so da mean ol’ bear is here to put the hammer down and get the dang things done. I even had one to argue with me that he had been doin’ ‘em. So I said fine let’s take a look at what you’ve done. I pulled up his info and showed him where the records indicate he has not completed any tests. He still wanted to argue so I went in under his user name, which I can do, cause, well, I’m the boss. Lo and behold, two tests started FOUR FREAKIN’ MONTHS AGO, but never completed. Yeah, I have no idea what goes on. :rolleyes:
So, mean ol’ bear is sittin’ here while folks do what they knew to do but didn’t do. I’d say I’ll bet that won’t happen again, but I know better.

I never thought I’d say this, but happy to be at irk today (Cabin Fever was setting in).
The drive was just…Wow! Tree carnage!!! Trees & limbs hanging or on the ground everywhere; ½ million w/o power, & they’re saying at least Sun til everyone’s back.
