Judging by the weather map we aren’t totally alone.
wo0t! Got a mysterious box in the mail!!!
Yay!!
(:))
Do you think the springs are made of stainless steel? :dubious:
They most definitely can be.
You may have just given Swampy a heart attack with the need for all of that TP!
A remote???
Monday Funday! Well, maybe not so much. Trying to put a cheery face on things. I picked up some kind of stomach crud. I found the trick to not running to the bathroom all the time is to not eat or drink anything. That let me get through weight-training. Hopefully it’ll get me through the eye doc appointment, too. It’s a dilating one, which is kind of funny because one of my pupils is permanently dilated anyway.
Beck, sad to say, corn dogs are not kosher, though I bet there are kosher recipes out there. I think everyone in the manger scene was Jewish with the exception of the Magi, so maybe no need to feel too evil. I always set up my creche scene the Italian way Mom taught me: set the Magi at a distance from the manger and move them closer each day. They’re supposed to arrive on The Epiphany, January 6th, which is when gifts were exchanged in Mom’s family. However, I don’t leave my stuff up that long, so they arrive on Christmas.
Perhaps one of them will bring you your old remote…you know, regifting.
Chickie’s almost done roasting, so I guess I should get the broccoli in the steamer. And I’m thinking instant smashed N.O.T. - Judge Ye Not!!!
It does smell yummy in here!
Onward to the kitchen!
Stoopit chickie wasn’t done - I’m having to nuke it so we can eat. Dammit.
Moommm you know I always judge you on the N.O.T. Of course, lately I’ve been using store bought that I just nuke. :o
Metal Mouse I posted in your other thread. Hopefully, we’ll both find answers!
It looks like it will be dry today, and then back to rain.
I’ve got groceries scheduled for delivery in the next hour or so. That’s about my excitement for the day.
Happy Monday everyone!
Nukage helped and supper was not bad. Daughter just finished emptying the dishwasher and I’m about to reload it. It never ends…
Just another Moanday.
Shades, there are more than 50 Mumpers. Could we have a B Ark?![]()
Just one. But we can squeeze on Mrs. Plants V1.0, 2.0, and 3.0:D
Boofae! : tacklehug :
And a Recap of things.

Looks familiar.
nellie, did y’all wait until Christmas morning to put the baby Jesus in the manger? We did that, sang happy birthday to him and the moving the wise men closer until Epiphany. We usually took the tree down the day after Epiphany.
As for the OP, I don’t wanna go if there will only be two dogs.
Irked, stopped at the dollar store on the way home for some of the candy to add to the gingerbread house for the contest at irk. Each department is given a kit. We are permitted to add to it, but everything must be edible. I’m sketching the house and doghouse out to decorate and the guys on the weekend shift (emphasis on guys) will do the landscaping around it. It should be fun.
KP is next on the list before beginning the sketches.
Howsabout just Mrs. Plants V1.0, 2.0, and 3.0
Our edition is this Sat. Bonus: iffn you come up I’ll make sure to find you a bar serving some of PA’s finest deliciousness (had my first one this weekend). Unfortunately for you it’s draft only.
That’s a great idea about the manger! We didn’t do that, though, maybe because Baby Jesus was undetachable from the manger. Mary and Joseph would have been kneeling down and looking reverently at empty space. I did love moving those Wise Men, though. My favorite was Gasper (though I thought his hame was “Casper.” He looked so regal and had a beautiful blue robe.
My eyes are all un-dilated now. Eye doc says everything looks the same, still can’t do anything for me, see ya in six months. He told me I’m very patient. I’m not really, though. I just don’t let myself think about it…that way lies madness.
My grandwreks and me got the Nativity scene all set up. I have to say the Thos. Kincaid street lamps give off an eerie glow. We have 3 additional figures. Polly Pockets dolls. At least they have on clothes. Baby Jesus is nekkid:eek:
And one My little Pony.
Dang post went poof. Fudge it. Will try again later.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 65 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 79 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for this afternoon. Let it storm I say. I got nowhere I need to go today. YAY! Today I shall launder. Sup shall be country fried steak ‘n gravy, rice, green beans, squishes and cornbread. In the mood for some real food, so I shall make the effort. Also bug man comes this mornin’ at eight to do his monthly thang.
Speakin’ of Creches and such, next week is the joy of draggin’ all that out of storage over to the church house. The storage area is in the Parish hall, so that means gettin’ it all over to the church proper and into the Sacristy so it can all get set up on Moanday the twenty-third. Plus the place will need to get all duded up for Christmas. Then after Epiphany it all goes back to storage. It’s all purty stuff but still a lot of irk.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Got my Amazon Echo Show last week and Alexa is very excited to be with me, apparently. Constantly shows me the weather, strange new recipes, sports news and things I don’t care about. She says she’s got skills - thousands of them, which would make that girl far smarter than me. The screen is nice and the sound is good, so I think I will keep her. She does have the nasty habit of turning on the screen automatically and showing me recipes at insane hours of the night - smart girl Alexa does not realize it is rude to awaken the screen and flood the room with light when I am sleeping. I got tired of asking her to shut the screen, so now I just switch her off at night. Today I plan to ask her about elephant mating habits - do you think she will blush?
We got an Echo Plus for FCD’s folks - they want one for some reason. But we won’t wait till Christmas to give it to them - we’ll set it up right away so (theoretically) we can work out all the bugs for them.
Honestly, I don’t know why they want it - they’re terrified of their laptop. But at least it made the Christmas choice easy.
Very warm today - near 60!! Then snow tomorrow. Rah. And I had an email from the boss - they’re doing a going-away thing for me on the 19th. We’re leaving very early on the 20th, so I’m kinda hoping no one wants to show up and it’ll be canceled… yeah, I’m a grouch.
Happy Tuesday!
Small cabin cruiser, a few inches shy of 30 ft. Was pulling up the anchor with the electric windlass, and the rope-to-chain splice failed just as it came over the davit roller. Since everything was gone except the rope, I didn’t know the exact anchor or chain size. And gypsy wheels are very particular about rope/chain pairings. It took a week of research into the (of course) discontinued model I have, and searching thru Lewmar and Defender’s websites to get the right one. The only correct pairing I could find came with 300 feet of rope on a spool, which I just got yesterday. It’s set up in the garage right now so I can cut off 75-100 feet to ensure enough ‘fall’ height to keep from clogging the hawsepipe (locker wasn’t built for 300’).
Going out today to set up the spool on the dock and feed all that line into the windlass. Wish me luck. Tell the OP I’m working on the ark. ![]()
Happy Toosday!
It’s a, OMG! we are having a heat wave, 52 degrees outside.
Supposed to rain all day with a high of 54.
Ripple woke me up too early this morning, and I was sleeping so well. He’s not bad when he wakes me up, he sits by my head and stares at my face until I wake up.
Funny how that works.
I have two Echoes, da jungle kind and the canine kind. I took da jungle one out of the box, looked at it, and put it back. I only got it because it came free with the Ring doorbell. I’ll figure it out one day, or maybe give it to somebody.
