Late to the party. I’m not sure if I ever even posted last week.
Irk has been irksome. Big project is going in next week and there are still lots of things to do.
Hugs to everyone who needs 'em. (I’m currently retaining almost nothing…)

Good luck, Guano. Hope you can work things out.

sari, we kinda think alike. Dunno if that’s  or for you.
Nut, I belive in chucking everything that doesn’t fit in the car on moving day.
gotti, hope you feel better.
**Gotti ** some days the only thing I retain is water
FCM you would not be the first, I’ve had more than one friend tell me I’m ‘tetched in the haid’.
Twenty minutes to pick up a birth certificate!!!
Here you can drive to the department of vital records, and get it the same day provided you were born in this state, but it’s sure going to take longer than 20 minutes. It’s going to be more than 20 minutes just to get up to the counter to request one, then you have to sit and wait for them to get a copy, and then go to another counter to pay the cashier. Plan on spending half a day at least.
I’m trying to remember what we used for ID when my ex needed a copy of his birth certificate. His license had been revoked and he couldn’t get his license without his BC, but he needed ID to order his BC. Maybe he had the provisional license?
We had to argue with the clerk because my ex was born in Hawaii and she was sure that was a foreign country. Then we had to wait for it to be mailed because it was out of state.
All in all a real PITA.
I know other dogs do this and I don’t know why, Sah-dog wanted me to scratch his rump but he’s stay just far enough away that I could barely reach him. Then he’d give me that nasty ‘why aren’t you scratching my ass’ look.

My experience with keeping aquariums is that they say at the very beginning, “What in the Holy F–k is he doing now?”
Sorry GT :o
Jeez I’m going to bed
this has been a weird day anyway

The good news is that I was pleasantly surprised by an email at lunch time that was from a completely different professor who is teaching my class and while we’re meeting in the same building and same floor, it’s a couple of doors down and a distinctly different setup. We’re also only meeting six times this semester instead of twice a week. So, all in all things turned out better than I could have even imagined.
I must offer rosie’s sig to everyone as I read off and on and retained little.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92 and dry for the day.
StickyBuns yay!
wantto (If I say that southern style it sounds like “yawnto”) I needed a certified copy of my birth certificate a few years back. Since I am Jawja native, I could have gotten it locally but I decided to take a little trip up to ye olde hometowne to visit family and go get it there. I was in and out of there in like twenty minutes. Of course we’re talkin’ small town and on a Tuesday mornin’ so YMMV.
Spaz cars are like a high maintenance relationship. Gotta spend money to keep 'em happy.
Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy desires sustenance. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Hump Day Y’all! It just does not get old!
blurf
Yay, a friend actually responded to my facebook plea for last minute help, and the bed is now here, and back all in one piece- after losing the inevitable part on the way and talking some replacement bits out of the local Ikea this morning.
Van is returned, in time and damage free (I was pretty jumpy about it, 'cos it was so much bigger than my tiny car), with all necessary items transported in time. It’s starting to look like the house might actually get emptied before the keys are due back, though I’m taking today off moving. I’m sorting out stuff like driving license change of address, telling the bank I’ve moved, and trying to find a charity shop to collect the unwanted furntiure, which is my excuse for messing around on the computer…
Hope everyone else is having a good week- brain isn’t taking anything in, though I did try and read the thread.
T-boomers in forecast for dis affernoon; blinds are glowing red from sunrise. Methinks I should start battening down hatches NOW.
Then I’ll blurf.
Blurf.
Does that include spouses/SOs?
After a series of weird dreams, which included one about my sister having a book published, I gave up and got up. Today is dentist day! WOOHOO!!! And wouldn’t you know that despite scheduling early, there’s still a crabber coming in so early that I couldn’t possibly get him. Luckily, **FCD **will be on the case.
It’s overcast and rain is promised. I was going to wash and hang out all the salt-water soaked towels that we used yesterday. So, do I just toss them into the dryer or wait till tomorrow when it’s supposed to be sunny? Decisions, decisions… I *will *be cleaning the carpet around the aquarium - I don’t want the salt water residue to start stinking - not that plain salt water would stink. This is salt water that came from the aquarium, so it was a mixture of critter excretions and who knows what else. When I return from the dentist, I’ll be steam cleaning.
Beyond that, the day will be figgered out as I go along. It’s too early yet to think that far ahead.
Happy Wednesday! And swampy, you’re right - that never gets old!!
Morning all,
Thanks so much for all the hugs. They were very much appreciated (and needed) :). We haz a plan. We shall drive to my parents in Merryland tomorrow night straight after work. Spend the night. Get up at o’dark’thirty and drive to New Hampshire. Attend the wake Friday night. Attend the services Saturday morning and the celebration of life afterwards. Sunday spend the day with the family. Monday drive all the way home on LABOR DAY (hold me)! Take Tuesday off to recover.
I am hoping the hairdresser will take mercy on me and squeeze me in for a cuts and color this afternoon.
I must be packed and ready to go tomorrow morning as Mr. Jynxster will be taking me to work and picking me up so we can leave straight from there. It makes no sense to drive home, pick up luggage to drive pretty much back to where I work (near the Norfork hairport) to get on 13 to take the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel up North.
I couldn’t figure out why I was so achy and sore when I tried to get comfy in bed. My back and my butt and my legs were killing me. Then I remembered - when I was mowing the ditch yesterday, I tripped when backing up and I sat down hard in the dirt. Fortunately, I didn’t hit my head. And further fortunate that no one was there with a camera.
I love days like that, the stormier the weather the more alive and alert I feel.
Thinkin’ about y’all, Jynx.
Well, it all ended up working out through furious effort and I trade the big car for the little. Wheeee…
Happy Hump Day!
and a great big ole BLURF!
Meh. I can’t wait for this week to be over. I’m tahrd.
Howdy Y’all! Sneakin’ in a quick post just cause, well, I can. TPTB are still here but right now all on their cell phones in their designated hidey hole away from me. I shall have to go back in a few however. Alas.
lieu yay on the car trade.
Drae me too. I need the upcomin’ long weekend.
MOOOOOM since you told us, we’ll point and laugh anyway.
Lucky drivin’ on Labor Day. The horror!
It looks like the weekend might be all about showers and tboomers. Rah.
I’m finally feeling alive.
I didn’t sleep well and then when I fell asleep I didn’t want to get up and overslept for work. I almost took off this am except I am taking off this pm to meet with a client and introduce her to the woman taking over the pet sitting.
It’s a cloudy 77 with a projected high of 83.
I look like hell, maybe a nap before I go out later.
G-d help the frogs.
