Refilling of the tank has begun. Once it gets high enough for the filter to kick in, the fishies will be happy! If they survive…

Howdy Y’all! I am on a short reprieve from TPTB as all four of ‘em felt the need to go get some stuff from Staples. Needless to say, they have gotten on my last nerve and I still gotta deal with ‘em for a couple more days. Le Sigh. I swear they talk in unison. AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! On the plus side, the records review is goin’ great. They are in awe of my mad file organizin’ skilz!

Been doing the heavy stuff today- never ever move with fishtanks. Ever.
I’ve still got one to go too, as the person who offered to help me with that one is in the US, and I’m not. He thought he’d be back by then, but got the time zones mixed. Oops. Still, I did the bigger one today, and I still have a few days left to go before the keys need to be back.
I still haven’t got the bed there either, just the mattress- my friend helping ran out of time, and I couldn’t find the right allen key to take the frame to bits. I’ve borrowed one off her, and I’ll see if I can wrestle the base in to the van by myself- it won’t fit in the car, I have to return the van in the morning, and I can’t find anyone to help. I don’t fancy sleeping on a mattress for two days then carrying it across town, which is the other option. It’s about a 15 minute walk.
I dropped the bookcase on my foot about 3 times, and have taken the skin off the top of my right foot, mysteriously cut my left hand, taken the end of a nail off on my big toe, and I’m only about half way there.
On the plus side, the ex housemate has now removed anything she intends to take, and has left all the lego, the awesome pop-up books and several full bottles of reasonable wine.
TLDR- Moving really sucks. Free stuff is still kinda good though.

Meatloaf is almost done. Green beans are simmering with leftover ham bits. Mushrooms are cooking in butter. Supper will be yum!!!
Had a nap.
Now I’m hungry. We haven’t ordered pizza because I want something different so I don’t know what we are going to do.

Howdy Y’all! Leftovers for dindin. Then I vacuumed and dusted da cave. The first step in defilthyfication. OYKW went to his place after dindin to crash. Ragweed is bloomin’ and we’re both kinda miserable. So natch I dust and vacuum so I can sneeze even more. :dubious: Anywho, I’s tahrd.

We’re done with the aquarium for now. We did new rock arrangements, rearranged the corals, and put the fish back in. Tomorrow I’ll need to clean the carpet in front of the tank. Tomorrow. I’m done for tonight.
It appears all of the fish survived, altho they weren’t too happy. The clowns were attacking FCD’s hand as he was placing rocks. But they’re all moving about checking out their new neighborhood, finding new hidey holes, and generally chilling after the trauma.
Supper was good. But a certain puppy dog climbed up on the table while I carried dishes to the kitchen and she helped herself to some meatloaf. She’s on The List!!! The cats are a bad influence on here since they hang out on the table.
I need some medicinal ice cream.

Here I was, swimming around my little hood, just minding my own business and something came down and scooped me up and and now here I am. Everything looks the same but different, you know what I mean. Like that rock here used to be over there, and dude!!! This is just too far out man!!!
I just did some looking around on the Internet and after sending in a notarized request for a birth certificate, I found it today…grrrrr…in addition, after deeper research, I called, actually got a real person and she said I could walk right in and walk right out with a copy in 20 minutes. I have to wonder if she’s trolling me…I will find out tomorrow morning.
I spent 2.5 hours at the Car Fixin’ Shop while my half-axle was replaced. Just in time, too; Mr. NAL showed me the old CV joint and it was about a day away from clicking and a week away from sending my left front tire on an unauthorized journey away from the car. Lesson: get your 50K service done, kids. They find things.
And then, because my car decided $350 was not enough money to spend on it, the check engine light came on. I need an O2 sensor. I made the executive decision to put that off until the next oil change. Which, after a quick glance at the odometer, is only 1000 miles away.
Damn car can smell money.
It also needs a bath.

no, that sounds right to me. If you show up in person with proper ID, you can get your birth certificate right away - some municipalities charge a fee but it’s real
