Happy Toosday blurf
Uh, if anyone has any advice on how I should not freak out about tonight it’s more than welcome. I start my one class on campus tonight with the same professor that I had (and haven’t had since) when Dave died. I’ve seen him around campus since then but the other thing is I’m about 99% certain that this class is being held in the same room that I had that class with him in. I know I have to just suck it up and deal with it but I am worried.
Up, caffienating.

Easy for you to say…
Ditto, BTW.
Morning all,
My step-mother-in-law passed away last night around 700 PM EST. Hakuna Matata Linda. May all your dreams come true. She was a rabid Disney fan, something we shared. My heart aches for her daughter, her husband and her family. Not sure when we will drive up to New Hampshire for the funeral as details have not been solidified. I has a big sad.
My kitties seem to sense my mood last night so I was part of a kitty sandwich as I slept on my side. Jynx curled up on my legs and Orion stretched out against my stomach with his paws on my pillow.
Irk will be hard for the next few days as we try to figure out what we are doing. At least my mom is behaving well as she agreed to come down at the last minute to cat and house sit with no drama.
I HATE Tuesdays.

The only issue I can see, and my daughter encountered this when she was looking to take a class, is that some classes are only offered either Fall or Spring semester, but not both. And that generally is just an issue towards the end when you need that *one *class to graduate and you’re in the wrong semester. Other than that, I don’t think a delay would make that much of a difference, especially since he’s just starting.
Good morning! In a little bit, I’m going to go mow the ditch before it gets too hot. Then at 10, I’m meeting a woman in a parking lot to do a yarn exchange - she’s getting my wool and I’m getting her acrylic. And I’m going to build a meatloaf for supper. Beyond that, nothing planned for today. It’s another non-crab day.
It’s going to be almost 90 today - hottest it’s been for a few weeks, and the last gasp of summer, I’m hoping. Hard to believe Sunday is September already. Which reminds me - I need to get a b-day card for my daughter. She turns 28 next week.
But that’s pretty much it. Another day in Paradise!
Happy Tuesday!

Unless my Crowdfunding campaign suddenly gets a very unlikely burst of generosity, it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to make my Rent this month. Which, as last month’s scrambling for rent was a clusterfuck they were not happy about, would mean I will be homeless soon.
I was told that when they did my latest spine fix, some steroid/anaesthetic was placed right on the affected nerve root and that this stuff would last about three days. They were right. I took two Percocet on the day of surgery, just from a sense of duty, but took nothing more than Tylenol on Saturday and Sunday, and had a splendid weekend, far nicer than someone who just had spinal surgery might expect any right to.
About noon yesterday, my body ganged up on me and basically said, “hey fool, you just had surgery. You’re supposed to feel crappy and wrung-out now!”
Think I need to hunt down the absent landscaper, then take a nap.
The ditch and part of the hill is mowed and I’m all sweaty and icky. In a little bit, I’m going to hit the shower. Meanwhile, my sweetie is going to ride the John Deere around the yard. That should beat the grass into submission for another week.
I had an eye opening experience yesterday. I ran into the the one person in the world who could spout more inane bullshit than my wife.
The task was to mail 3 small packages. I was in line at the post office, and this couple was immediately ahead of me. I first noticed her when she discovered some novelty mailing envelopes, and she went on and on about how she should get some to send things to the grandkids. She got back in line with hubby, and she prattled On. And. On. And. On. about stuff, and it was so freaking boring that I can’t even recall the topics or her point(s). All the time, he just stood there with an expressionless face and body language that screamed, “SHUT THE HELL UP!!!”
I figured she blathered in about 2 minutes what it would take VWife an hour to say. I had some real sympathy for the dude.
Jynx, I am so sorry for your loss. Good thoughts to you and your family.
I stopped to buy gas on the way to repair my Tenant’s gate Sunday.
A fellow bought a lottery ticket and was blathering on and on to the attendant.
I said, “Uh, it’s a tax on people who aren’t good at math. Twenty on number seven.”
I’m up for reals now.
Oh what a morning.
My mother tries to talk to me at the same time she is turning up the TV so she can hear all about the heat wave in the midwest. I can’t hear half of what she is saying over the TV and she has a habit of using pronouns instead of names and dropping off the last half of her sentences.
She is telling me all about how my she (not my mother, the person she is talking about) can’t use her bathroom that the toilet works but they can’t use the sink or the tub because the… and her in-laws say it’s her fault because she didn’t… and his mother fixed it before by herself… but she must not have fixed it right and now they need a contractor… and he says his back hurts… and he said you want to trade places with me… he’s just a big baby who doesn’t want to work… AND for the third time I am hearing about the heatwave in the mid west and my mother turns up the TV again because I guess she missed it the first two times, and my mother is going on with they don’t look nice with their skirts that short… she doesn’t have pretty knees… and after a bit of this I look at her and say
**WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? **
and she wants to know why I am so grumpy!
I feel your pain** Bobbio**
The family reunion is this weekend and I think I might want to go. I haven’t been in a long time and since the girl next door is taking over my pet sitting I could. My mother doesn’t want to drive and her bf wants to spend the night if he drives and I thought I could drive but it’s a 5 hour drive each way and being stuck in the car with the two of them for 10 hours in one day! I’d have to lock one in the trunk and tie the other one to the roof and as far as I know that’s not legal, even if it is for their own safety.
I’m getting ready to leave for BestBuy. I looked up a bunch of crap online, I did everything suggested and the phone is still barely charging. I hope they can fix it because I don’t want a new phone, They always lose something in the transfer and then I have to reset everything back to the way I want it.
The missing calls seems to be a known problem as well, it’s not AT&T. There’s a way to fix that but the directions I’ve found aren’t working for me because I don’t get the same options in the menu. Hopefully BB can fix that for me as well.
If I don’t hear from the mortgage company today I am going to call them. I’m assuming at this point I haven’t been denied because the broker didn’t say I was, just that there was a problem and she was going to try to get the underwriter to push it through.
I need to know by the weekend though so while my mother and her bf are in WVa, I can be up in the attic looking for my stuff.

and Sticky and Gotti too.
Feeling decidedly meh today, but I suppose that’s nothing new. This is usually kind of the slowest week of the summer for us. Summer in general is slow, but that hasn’t been the case so much this year. But this week is already dragging. I decided to take Friday off because nobody else had it and I felt like it.
Hugs for Jynx and Sticky, and assorted appropriate reactions for everything else I’ve forgotten in the three minutes it’s been since I read everything. My concentration is shot today.
you were on Lawn Guylindt? Why didn’t you tell me?
Back from BestBuy.
I should have called and saved myself the trip.
Under my plan I get one free battery and one free charger and both have been ordered.
They didn’t know anything about the missing calls issue but according to the geeks online it has something to do with LTE vs WCDMA and I need to block the LTE option but that option doesn’t exist in my drop down menu.
Maybe somebody at AT&T will know.
So today is pizza day and laundry day.
I guess I should get started on the laundry although I am tempted to wait until Friday. The HFH leaves Thursday night for where ever and I have two weeks, two whole weeks of a HFH free home. The hounds will still be here.
Hopefully I will be gone before she gets back.
Well, that was fun. **FCD **has decided that today is clean-the-aquarium-day. No, it’s not wiping down the outside glass. He has drained half of the water out of the tank, removed most of the rocks, putting the ones with corals into buckets of water and at the moment, he’s pressure washing the base rocks. I just finished scrubbing algae off 4 rigid water lines - 2 drain, 2 supply. And just to add to the fun, I scrubbed the tub (where I was washing the water lines) and the toilet, since I was there with the Comet already.
I’ll be surprised if all of the fish survive - he’s stirred up all kinds of crud so that the water is milky. He got the tangs out, but I haven’t seen the wrasses or the black chromis or the shrimp since he started. Not a good sign. Oh well…
He did find a monster bristle worm - over a foot long!! It’s currently dying on the driveway. They are Teh Evil!!!
Cause it was only for a little bit, an hour or so in Coney Island (Nathan’s is {relatively} 'spensive! But traveling companions have never been there before.) & two hrs in Nassau Co.
So in the span of 4 minutes, I received 3 emails from “Manager <First name> <Last Name>” (all different names) in my junk mail folder with the titles of Unable to Deliver, Failed Delivery, & Delivery Problem.
Ummm, Mr Internet Scammer, assuming I was a complete dolt & internet noob & did actually want to open the email from someone named “Manager”, only to send you my name, address, bank acct info, SSN, blood type, etc. The fact that you sent me 3 similar emails in 4 minutes, which means they were all there, one after the other before I had a chance to look at my email only helps the real internet dolts & complete noobs to also realize that all are a scam. Mebbe try less frequent emails so they don’t all stack together, huh? :smack:
