Didn’t we already have an MMP with the exact same titleas this one? Not that it matters all that much, it’s just that I’m a bit scared I may mess them up and post in the wrong one.
I drank a lot of coffee this morning, so I didn’t fall asleep in class. But class was so boring that it probably would’ve been a more productive thing to sleep through it.
**Midget **- do you seriously expect us to remember what we call the MMP each week? Silly girl… It’s hard enough remembering nicknames which are used rather frequently!
Got one thing done so far, this morning. This is more than I can say for some whole days. Most days it’s like those guys on the old variety shows spinning plates on top of rods. The rest of the day will be spent reviewing submittals and sending a bunch of them back for changes. Could be worse.
Yesterday was the first day of my son’s latest challenge. He needs to excercise and diet and to keep himself motivated he finds others who also need excercise and diet and forms challenge groups. It works. Works for him more than for the rest of us, but it works for us too.
This time it’s a 30 day challenge. With no money involved. But with posting. Not sure if it’s posting on the internet or just on the wall, somewhere. I’ll figure it out later today. He’s doing 50k a day, plus a set of excercises. I’m doing one mile. He’s trying to get me to add excercises. I think there are five of us in all. I should probably act more interested. But up to last night, I was still saying maybe.
OK, now I’m thinking of adding something that’s related to the fact that I’m walking in loops of blocks in our neighborhoos. I could fill the wheelbarrow with some of the extra dirt in the back yard and use it to fill in some of the holes in the parkway strips in our neighborhood.
Actually, the straight up holes aren’t as dangerous as some of the depressions. Both were made by removing trees or bushes that had died. You can see the holes, though. The depressions get filled with grass and the mower leaves the area looking flat. So you step on it and your foot goes down an extra four inches that you weren’t expecting.
Today has sucked my will to live. I think tonight I’m just going to lay on the couch and make occasional whiny noises, like the dog does.
Roomie is going to visit her boyfriend this weekend, which means a three-day weekend with the house to myself. I usually end up cleaning at least a little because I feel guilty about just sitting there. And because I can’t figure out what movie to watch and end up asking the dog repeatedly while he glares at me because I keep waking him up. Maybe I need more hobbies.
Starting physical therapy on Thursday, which is excellent because my knee has started making the most fascinating clicking noise whenever I use stairs. I don’t feel anything clicking, it’s just making the noise for no reason I can discern. So that’s fun.
Yllaria, I like the phantom leveling idea. Of course, it’s far more work than I would ever do voluntarily, but I love the idea of sneaking around and doing something that’s totally legal.
Well I did get cleaned up but I’m still sitting here in the towel.
And I did help Sah-son kill a wasp. Want to hear an 18 year old scream like a little girl? Let a wasp loose into the kitchen while he is there fixing his lunch. After a few swats with the newspaper didn’t kill it he finally drowned it with spray cleanser when it landed on the dish drainer. Then a few squirts with the hose and down the drain it went.
It makes a mother proud I tell ya, my son the might wasp slayer!
He even cleaned the dishes and drainer afterwards.
I’m putting Best Buy off until tomorrow.
Why ruin a perfect day of doing nothing by doing something?
Blurf. Whoa. Was that nap really 2 hours long? ha, it was my friend’s fault for keeping me up so late last night with his concert! Haha
During the nap, I dreamed that I was staying in a place. I think in retrospect that it might have been a psych ward, but strangely, I wasn’t as upset about it as I would be in real life. Maybe because my coworkers were there with me, and having some sort of costume party.
Argh. I dropped my one and only child off at college on Saturday, and he is so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o homesick, which is just killing me.
He is an introvert, so he has zero patience with all the rah-rah “Let’s put a random group of freshmen together and force them to CONNECT” activities. On Sunday night, he texted me and said, “I haven’t met a single person I think I could be friends with.” To which I replied, “That’s because everyone like you is likewise hanging back from all the orientation activities. You WILL find your tribe, I am sure.”
Howdy Y’all! Irked, made dindin, skimmed the MMP. Da bear is tahrd and feelin’ a bit under the weather. Not sure if’n a cold is comin’ on or if’n it’s just allergies.
So, yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, Sri Lankan spiders, smooches, how you doin’s as needed.
{{{Swampy}}}
it’s kind of how it’s been, ear ache, sore throat. gunky eyes, irritable tummy, not really sick but just ick.
My son should have started college today I guess, or sometime around now but since I didn’t know where he would be going nothing has been done. I’m not too worried about it though, everybody seems to think I should be but being a semester behind is not the end of the world and do colleges have real semesters anymore anyway?
Still waiting waiting waiting for an answer. The realtor swears they do this just to jerk people around, they keep pulling more and more hoops out of their ass to make you jump through them.
On another subject, Jesus Ch…Moses and Aaron on a stick, my back hurts.
I didn’t do my Symponi injection15 August. The pharmacy ordered it today, so I can inject Tuesday or Wednesday.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 87 for the day. This is very nice early Fall weather in south Jawja.
Feelin’ somewhat better this mornin’. Maybe it is just a combo of allergies and tahrd. 'Tis the time of year for the ragweed to start and ragweed is a huge allergy trigger. So I guess the next few weeks I sneeze and sniffle a lot.
TPTB will be hangin’ around irk this week for two and a half days startin’ this afternoon. Joy. Actually maybe they’ll bug out by noon Thursday so it’ll only be like two days. That’d be nice.
sari they do have a way of draggin’ these things out for some reason.
Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
