The Imsomniac MMP

Doc, good on you with Pete. I hope he finds a home.

butters, I watched the debate and the online group that I was following made a drinking game out of it. The guy who had to take a drink whenever DJT said the word great or any of its variations likely needed a designated driver. :stuck_out_tongue:

metal mouse, I have to keep notes to remember who to respond to. I’m not sure if it’s a blonde issue or a senior one. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just got out of a meeting with HR. We did get some things settled about recent security issues.

Yesterday after irk, I went into Nashville to make a CL purchase. I swung through Sonic first for a lime-ade because I knew that the part of town that I was going to has the good taco trucks (I got a taco lingua and a taco carbonera, both with crema and salsa verde) that don’t sell sugar free soft drinks. I came home with some new tools for the studio and a happy tummy.

Figured it would make me ill, too, so I watched football instead.

It is so beautiful outside today. I sat out back for a while and watched the butterflies in the wild flower patch. I got a few black-eyes susans out there, but they didn’t get very tall but you can barely see them behind everything else.
Then I sat out front for a while and watched the man up the street do yard work.

Got asked in for a (paid) trial shift, hopefully the end of this week

Sounds nice Sari, what flutterbys do you get there? Watching them and the birds is about 90% of what I call gardenin’.

Home with fried rice and some soups because I don’t want to cook and I know my sweetie will be hungry. He’s less than 2 hours away - can’t wait!!! * <happy dance>*

Howdy Y’all! Dindin has been ingested. Cake and ice cream for a little later. All is well.

I don’t know butterflies too well. Sometimes a monarch comes by. This town has a small park and a program to save the monarchs. I’m planning on planting milkweed this fall to try to draw them in. I get lots of the small white butterflies. They always seem to be in pairs and do some weird kind of flight dance with each other. Today I had a big white butterfly, the size of a monarch but pure white. I also get lots of the medium sized orange butterflies - painted ladies I think.

Yay for FCD coming home

My family is whole again. And Ziva finally ventured out. Life is good.

MOOOOOM yay for a whole family again. Have Higgs and Taz finished chasin’ each other around yet?

I often use multi-quote to keep my running list, and then either delete the entire quote and just add my few words, or edit it down to just the part I want to comment on.

Nuts Nuts to not hearing back yet. I hates that too.

Drae I agree with the crowd. Looking can’t hurt, other than digging into your free time.

Mooomm yay for FCD being home!

The surgery was, er, interesting. They asked me if I wanted sedation for it and I said yes. I asked later, once it was down, how on earth they would ever get it down without sedating the patient. They said that if anyone ever says no they talk them into yes. :roll eyes:

Anyhoo, I laid on my stomach and the doctor used a large bore needle to inject three different drugs into my neck and up into where my neck joins into the skull. He said that if he used a bigger needle he would need to use a scalpel to open an incision in order to use it. I think there were about 30, maybe more, injections. The procedure took about an hour.

The interesting thing about the procedure, now that it’s done, is that it seems to have numbed about half the headache. I normally have pain that starts at my eye and extends back through my head to my neck. Now it starts at my eye, but doesn’t really go much farther back. I’m calling this progress.

Happy Toesday.

I worked. It was not the starter, it was the idle, and the battery. Between that and the tow, I’m $300 poorer. No new Canes jersey for me for Christmas this year.

Gordie likes to molest felines. and glad FCD is home

MetalMouse, I do multi-quote like sunny does.

: crosses appropriate and inappropriate appendages for Nut :

I’s sleepified so I shall go join OYKW in the boudoir. YAWN

Nitey Nite Y’all!

I think I’ll join you. Not in your boudoir of course  but in the general thought. I’s plum tuckered.

TVCTPMO, automotive division, was in fine form today. Didn’t help that my lack of sense of direction put me in an area that was a bit out of the way and not terribly familiar. The stupid was INTENSE.

Bonus points for a thoroughly annoying gas stop and I’m now worrying about whether I should be driving at night.

OTOH, DH is nuking my dinner (Stouffer’s mac&cheese), and I got an affectionate greeting from the dog next door.

Y’all were very quiet yesterday.

I re-read my last post and determined that one should not post after sedation. Typos. Blathering. I’ll say no more.

I did go see the dancing horses. ''Twas fun. It ran a little long (2 1/2 hours!) but overall I really enjoyed it. They’ve incorporated a number of acts that are Cirque du Soleil/Aerial Artistes sorts of things. I was there for the pretty horseies. I would cut a few of the ladies hanging from ribbons. From the show I mean. My daughter really liked it too. It’s nice infecting the younger generation with my obsessions.

I should probably go to bed now. Happy Wednesday all.

One bad thing about **FCD **being home - his mom threw some of his clothes in the wash with theirs. I don’t know if it’s the detergent or the softener they use, but his clothes *reek *of artificial perfumes. Maybe because I buy unscented everything it makes me more sensitive to odors when they come up, but, boy howdy, do his things smell nasty! I might just throw them all into the wash this weekend to de-stink them.

The other bad thing was probably due to his exhaustion - he was twitchy in his sleep and he hit the side of my pillow about 1:30 this morning. It woke me, at which point, his snoring took over. About 3, he got up to pee, apologized for waking me, and went out to the recliner, but I couldn’t fall back to sleep - I dozed in and out of weird dreams till it was time to get up. It’s gonna be a long day…

And it’s gonna be a rainy 3 days - we’re forecast to get over 2" by the time it’s done on Firday. yay for rain!! And Happy Wednesday! I can haz nap now?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 87 and alleged rain this afternoon. We shall see. I’m hopin’ it starts to cool down more over the next couple of weeks. I need to do some outside stuff like trim some limbs off’n a couple of trees and I also need to clean out and straighten up storage buildin’s but don’t want to do that until it’s cooler out. 'Tis a chore that will keep me busy and off the streets for a while.

Today I need to make a trip to :eek:Wally*World:eek: and possibly Sam’s. Dindin shall be enchiladas and rice. Olé! Tonight is Evenin’ Prayer over to the church house as well.

OK that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should purtify a bit and head out. I have to decide which muumuu and which pair of mules to wear to :eek:Wally*World:eek:.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Sunny was posting in a Daze. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re lookin’ to give the Wal’s a ton of your money.

Instead of mules, howzabout zebras. Be sure to include pics.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Laundry, then closing shift tonight.

Spidey, He’s going to :eek:Wally*World:eek:, not the arena. No need to wear zebra.

I has a blurf
