We got home around 3:30 and I fixed a simple, home cooked meal (scnitzel, spaetzle, fried cabbage and little yellow squish with onions) to break the restaurant cycle. Laundry’s in the wash and once KP is done, it’s sloth time.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. My old TV died, so I had to buy a replacement. Which needed a new TV stand, and has now become a Manhattan Project sized rewiring job.:dubious:
Up early even tho I was awake way later than usual last night. But that’s good - I should be tired early tonight and back on schedule tomorrow. Got an email from one sister - my uncle Bob - my mom’s last surviving sib and my last living uncle on either side of the family - has had a stroke. He told his daughter he doesn’t want any extraordinary measures taken to keep him alive. So it’s wait and see…
When **FCD **gets up, he and I are doing breakfast, then I’ll do laundry and he’ll get packed for his trip. It should be a fairly chill day. I hope.
Oh, yeah, I woke to 58° - on July 8!!! Happy Cool Sunday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 87 (BRRR!) and mostly cloudy for the day with a chance of afternoon/evenin’ rain/tstorms/apocalypse. The big plan of the day is deheathenization (I have ush duty) followed by N.O.L. at Steak 'n Snake. Other than that, chillage shall ensue.
doggio new teevee, and new teevee stand can only lead to a complete redo of the livin’ room or wherever said new teevee and stand are.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.
Mystery for the day.
Who fixed my down spout out front?
It had a leak at the seam and it was on my ToDo List.
I wonder when they did it that I didn’t hear anything.
**sari **was visited by the Downspout Fairies!!!
I have 2 loads of laundry out on the lines and one in the dryer. I just put a cake in the oven, then gave the kitchen a quick tidy and ran the dishwasher on the rinse cycle.
My grandpa’s neighbours once broke into his house, cleaned the windows and washed the curtains.
Well, I say broke in- he had left the door unlocked. They were trying to sell the house, and decided (probably accurately) that his place looked so much of a mess it was putting people off.
I am currently attempting to update my satnav. Wish me luck. It got thoroughly confused by the new roads round here when I just tried to do my good deed for the day- someone panicking that they’d got a swarm of bees in the gutter. They’re a totally harmless bumblebee species, 5 metres above the ground, and they’ll clear off in a month or so. Not going to cause any more problem than they are now, which is none.
I’d guessed they weren’t honey bees from the description, but it was the little old lady next door’s house, and she was worried she’d have a hive in the attic, so I thought I’d check.
They tried to sell me a miniature horse while I was there, they had several. Pretty sure that’s not very suitable for a top floor flat though.
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had N.O.L. (Not goin’ back to the local Steak 'n Snake anymore. The food and the service are abysmal! Place has gone so far downhill it just can’t be in operation much longer), and have accomplished nappage. A fairly successful Sunday.
doggio see! You’ve already started gettin’ redo ideas.
**FCD **just left. I’m making mac-n-cheese (from a box - don’t judge) for supper. Our housemates are visiting SIL’s family. It’s just me and the critters, altho 3 of the cats now live in the basement in the pseudo living room the kids set up.
Had an early morning ride on Ariel who is back to her sassy self after a bout of colic Thursday night. Went to the grocery store, cam home, took a nap. All that is left of chores is cleaning Ursala Kitteh’s box.
