The international candy exchange

I haven’t gone out to buy mine yet, but it’s on the plan for this weekend.

I’ve got some good ideas, though.

Candy is on its way, it should arrive shortly!

Should have added, the candy’s on its way for Sneezy

DiosaBellisima, sorry my candy hasn’t arrived yet. But something else strange is going on. I know I posted a reply already, about the non-arrival, but it’s not showing here. Not sure why that is.

Anyway, let me know if it’s not there by Tuesday next. I’ll send you something else. Grumble, grumble, US Snail. I’ll bet there’s some postal officials licking their lips somewhere.

And I have precisely two of the peanut butter chews left. They are calling my name, softly and enticingly. I went to the website for the candy, and OMG there are some other flavors that sound heavenly too. I may just order some on my own.

Yay, candy! Yours will be in the mail as soon as I can get my act together!

I got more candy!!!

This time it’s a box from jabiru in Australia, and boy is it loaded.

Sherbet Fountain-There’s a plastic tube filled with a white powder, and a stick of licorice forms it’s core. Not sure how it’s supposed to be eaten, but I’ll be giving it a whirl.

Fruit Tingles-a hard candy shaped it round tabs.

Caramello Koala- a small twin pack of caramel cover chocolote. I opened it and it got kind of roughed up, but it sure tastes fine and I had to rinse off my fingers to type this responce.

Musk Sticks- a pack of thick, pink, soft candy sticks, they are bubblegum pink but are not gum. Highly scented and flavored with what seems to be rose flavor.

Polly Waffle- I haven’t opened it but it’s described on the wrapper as a “choc coated marshmallow filled wafer.”

Cherry Ripe-it’s from Cadbury, always a good sign, and says “ripe juicy cherries and coconut in rich, dark, chocolate.”

Chokito- a candy bar, not sure what’s all in it, but chocolate is always good.

P.K- a packet of gum

Jaffas-orange flavored chocolate balls in a candy shell. Oh my God, I opened this first and it’s all I can do now not to keep reaching into the bag. I’ve never seen anything like these in the States, and I don’t know what I’m going to do when the bag runs out!

Thank you jabiru, it all looks wonderful! I hope the package I mailed has arrived already, or will arrive soon. I mailed a package to another poster in Californina, and it still is held up somewhere.

(Excuse me while I reach for another Jaffa)

Baker, as someone who grew up in Australia, let me tell you that you got a great package there. Some of my favorite Aussie goodies.

Wtih the sherbet fountain, i used to eat it by sucking on the licorice and dipping it in the sherbet. Then you suck the sherbet off the end of the licorice stick. Repeat until there’s no more sherbet and/or no more licorice. I’m not a huge licorice fan, but that was one form of licorice i actually like.

Polly waffles have always been among by favorites, and chokitos are excellent to. Jaffas are, indeed, awqesome, and are standard movie candy in Australia.

Kudos to the Australian Mail Service! I got my huge package from Australia today.

I’ve only tried the musk sticks so far. They are, indeed, musky. I would compare these to circus peanuts, but with a rose perfume, and much fresher and softer.

I also got Burger rings. Milo drink mix, Twisties, ANZAC cookies, several different varieties of Tim Tams, Lamingtons, Clinkers, chicken crinkles, Jaffas, cottage cookies, fantales, wagon wheels, several smaller candies with frogs on them, and money, and fruit tingles, and so much more!

And vegemite too!

I got so much stuff!

Go Australia!

And thanks to Ultraviolet for setting this up!

Too many exclamation points!

Oooh, I’m Aussie and I didn’t think to include half of those things! Doh! I did put in a Yowie though. Heh.

I’ve never heard of a polly waffle. What are they when they’re at home?

…And then I see Baker has answered my question.

You’re an Aussie and you’ve never heard of a polly waffle? That’s really surprising; i thought they were ubiquitous.

I meant to put in a Yowie, but I forgot. But Sneezy’s got some TimTams coming

I just got my box o’ goodies today! Jess sent me some Milky Way Popables (these will disappear very quickly), Jaw Busters, Red Hots and Lemon Head candies, a vanilla Charleston Chew, and some neat weird gummy candies (shaped like pizza, fries, a hot dog, a burger and a bottle of pop). Excellent! Thanks Jess!

We have some odd gummy candies here which I like, so it was cool to get some. We also have Charelston Chews, but I’ve never had one. The other stuff will be a whole new candy experience for me!

DiosaBellisima, did my package ever arrive at your place?

I have an idea about replacing it. Some of that candy I got from Australia was fantastic, and I’m going to look up their availability by mail, as several had websites on the wrappers.

So don’t feel left out, I am going to get you that candy one way or the other.

And jabiru, did the package ever arrive in Australia?

Can I still join? I wanna trade with Low Key ! I love salty sweets. I’m not the biggest chocolate fan. Oh, yeah, US here.

I am such a dork - never mind. I can’t read and I thought this was a new thread.

note to self - finish reading the thread before you post :smack:

Sierra Indigo, I got a notice in the mail saying that I have a package to pick up! Yay! My hubby wasn’t here to get the package. Doesn’t he know that he’s supposed to wait breathlessly by the mailbox until it gets here? At least I’ll get the box while the girls are in school, so they don’t go into locust mode! Candy! Candy! Your box will be going out next week. The van broke again! ( Stupid P.O.S!)

Sneezy

I sent yours off today, Hello Lady. Man, shipping to Australia is expensive, when you’re sending 2 POUNDS of candy.

I hear ya FilmGeek! I sent yours off this week as well and it’s costing me A$17.
Yours was 1 kilogram. Don’t know how that relates in pounds. Sounds good though

HA! One kilo is 2.2 pounds. My package was 2.2 pounds exactly. Neato!
