The joys of lesbian dating

My girlfriend and I have been dating for about a year a half. My parents have more or less accepted me and love quietgirl (Yes, that’s her nickname) to death, but her parents are your typical homophobic, beer-swilling rednecks. Consequently, we have to sneak- they know we date, but they do their very best to limit her contact with me. (She’s 17. Read: Still under their power.)

Last night quietgirl came over to my house for the night. My parents happened to be away for the week, and while they were aware and indifferent that quietgirl was going to stay the night, quietgirl’s parents would have… um, been upset.

So I picked her up at 10pm and was supposed to drop her off at 5:30 the next morning so that she would be home before her mom got back at work.

Well, when 5 came around, I rolled over and turned the bloody thing off. We were cuddling in that “three hours sleep” daze and then I looked at the alarm. Damned if it wasn’t 6:30.

We must have looked like a bad comedy movie, what with the pulling on clothes and running out of the house. She even ended up wearing one of my shirts.

We didn’t get caught, but it gave me a scare. This was almost as bad as the day I turned 18- we wanted to watch the sunrise together, and as I went to pick her up I wondered if her parents could charge me with kidnapping.

God, I love being a lesbian.

::sigh::

I’m glad someone’s getting romanced. In person, at least. ::wink::

How’d you two meet?

After two years of dating someone who lived 3000 miles away, I did something radical.

I found someone who went to the same high school.

Actually, I’m serious- dating someone who goes to the same school is considerably more “radical” than someone who the nutjobs in your school never see. I lost a lot of friends when I came out of the closet, but quietgirl and I lost quite a few more when we started dating. Apparently it’s okay to be openly gay, but god forbid you make googly eyes with your girlfriend across the lunch table. Meh.

Side note: I meant for this to be posted in MPSIMS, but I wasn’t paying attention. Silly me. So, slythe, if you feel it doesn’t belong here, switch away.

Then again, I can start to rant about being a gay teen in high school, which qualifies as my humble opinion. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Una swoons)

Yes. As do I.

Be strong.

I could throw this over to MPSIMS, or
I could turn this into a thread for lesbians to tell their stories about silly experiences when they were/are young and in love. Though I can’t stop the males from adding to this thread, I do ask them politely to leave it alone for a while. Most of the IMHOers will probably understand.

So, slythe, posting about possible underage sex is okay if you’re gay; but not for the straight folk?

Noooo, handy. You can start your own thread about mishaps in dating if you wish, as long as explicit details are left to the imagination. 'nuff said?

My own folks are of the willfully blind category.

Guys weren’t allowed to stay over… not even my openly and flamingly gay best friend… but girls could stay over without either parent blinking an eyes.

Even after I came out to my mom. It was always a bit strange and amusing at the same time.

Love your sig. That and “Duc, duc, remus duc…” is all I remember from 2 years of Latin class.
