The Just To Tick Everyone Off MMP

home on time. Having a martini and some chicken sausage.

irk irk irk
and it’s irksome

:::sigh:::

Breaking up is hard to do.

Sweet Jesus!

Swampy!
The coasters!
Where the hell are the coasters?
Hi, Mommmm.
So, tell us about the coas…fishies and salt. I’m thinking about starting saltwater in the 100 gallon tank.

Swampy, Moses and Aaron on a Stick, FIND THE COASTERS!

Psst! We fired 'em off in the Nerf Disc Blaster, remember?

THIS is why you should climb into a stamped box addressed to Guam. They have indoor plumbing there, you uncouth, heathen (& apparently schnockered) Arkansinian (is too a word)!

Upon further reflection, the downs outweighed the ups, the day sucked. :frowning:

The hell it is.

Find the damn coasters. The nerf blaster was YOUR IDEA, after all!

I got vision and the rest of the world wears bifocals.

Jeepers. Here, use my coasters. Can’t leave you guys alone formore than five minutes.

NO, the marshmallow gun was my idea. (But only because we’re indoors & don’t want to put holes in the walls with the spud gun.) The coasters were used as mini shields from the bullets & then flung like ninja stars at the shooter when they went to reload.
I used to shoot OBL with a MMM-caliber** gun. He’d jump up & down waiting for me to fire it at him, then cringe when I did pull the trigger, only to joyfully eat the ‘bullets’ & start the jumping up & down step all over again.

Speak to Dogbutler.
Quickly.

Where the hell is Swampy?
He can talk Mommmm out of anything…

TGIF.

Well is it that time of year again already?

Followed another DWI for 40 minutes - never got a cop to catch up… Md State Police, Anne arundel County, Prince Georges Police… it was a long game of pass the buck.

I think a story will happen eventually. Great video. Too bad I can’t share it yet.

Has she been baking long enough to be done enough for birth? If so, yes, this is exciting. If not, NO, BABY, STAY PUT UNTIL YOU’RE READY TO BE BORN.

Long volunteer day, very tired.

A kitchen experiment:

Materials: 3 bags of pears, 5 in each bag, all pears very like in size and (lack of) ripeness, two paper bags, one basket, one banana.

Each bag of pears, once freed of the plastic they came home in, became a test group: #1 is the control group, in a basket on the kitchen counter. #2 is now wrapped in a paper bag. #3 is in a similar position to #2, but with a sacrificial banana included in their bag.

The object of this is to determine whether the bag and/or banana make any difference in speed of ripening. Results will probably not start arriving until next week’s MMP.

Does this qualify as a kitchen chemistry experiment or a kitchen biology experiment?

They say that - not sure who they are sometimes, though…

Man, I’m showing my age with that clip, ain’t I?

(and best wishes to you, sahirrnee - it is hard, sometimes)

No blurf this AM - shocked awake at 4 with upper leg cramps again - GAH!

No irk until this afternoon, so I’m up and fiddling on ta interwebs until the hot tub heats up to 104°.

I’m going to boil myself - and my traitorous thighs - into submission.

Happy Friday, y’all…

Heh. I’ve long wanted to do a “ask the produce guy” thread. I think I’d be overwhelmed, though.

Pears ripen from the inside out; growers tell you to “check the neck”, in other words, feel the neck (the stem end) of the pear for ripeness - when you feel softness at the neck, the pear is ripe. If you wait until the whole pear feels soft, it is quite likely overripe inside.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and rainy with a predicted high of only 68 for the day. Thus it is about as warm as it’s gonna get all day. Tomorrow promises to be a rainy, stormy day as well. Still gonna do the fish fry though bein’ as I have nine pounds of catfish filets all thawed out. I bought 'em two weeks ago when they were on sale over to The Pig.

{{{Sari}}} breakin’ up is always hard.

flytrap I think the Sri Lankan spiders took the coasters as souvenirs.

Nettie once said pears are ripened, poach 'em in a simple syrup and serve 'em with ice cream and chawklit sauce. YUM!

coldblood yay for hot tub soak! I have a hot tub and love it especially on cold nights. Chilled champagne and a hot tub can be quite ummm… romantical.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. At least it’s Firday!

Happy Firday Y’all!

Depends on how fast the pears ripen.

Good morning all! I did so want to sleep in, but someone was snoring up a storm, and rather than beat him with his own pillows, I let him sleep. Because I’m nice, dammit! :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s all of 48° here and we’re supposed to be sunny and 66° today. Pretty good for planting - I shouldn’t roast, so yay! I will wait till it’s into the 50s before venturing forth. Wonder if **FCD **will take me out to breakfast??

Today’s plan is planting - at least the pachysandra and the phlox. Anything over that is bonus. Oh, and I’ll need to unload everything from my car, just in case I need to use it for something. I do need to do my best to get it all planted this weekend - we’re promised rain most of next week. I see ibuprofen in my future…

**sari **- it’s hard, but it sounds like it’s what you wanted/needed to do. Hang in there!!

**coldblood **- thanks for the pear tip - I had never heard that before and I’m always reluctant to buy pears out of ripeness fear!

Do I caffeinate, or do I wait to see if I’m being taken out to breakfast?? Decisions, decisions…

Mornin’ Mumpers!

Another ‘busy’ day over here- doin’ some gardening stuff, and not much else.

It’s still sunny! I don’t know what’s going on!

Blurrrrrrffffffffft
I think I need a sri lankan spider just to shock me awake. Or I could stick a fork in an electrical outlet, I haven’t done that in a while…
