It was good to see my chorusmates last night. Decent Chinese food, and way too much of it. Also lots of singing and laughter. But I am still on hiatus until at least June while I get my 'parkmint in order
Dun-dun-dah! It’s D-Day here in Jynxster land. The boss is slated to arrive in T minus 50 minutes. The parents are slated to arrive in T minus 4 hours. Which will stress her out moar? Stay tuned to find out…

Blurf, already.
I am half way through my irk day and I’m finishing early! Instead of going home, I’m off to Reading to see Mitch Benn tonight. There will be a hotel for sleeps, and then home tomorrow after a quick visit to Sweeney’s pie shop for supplies.
I’ve left the cats with enough dry food to sustain any normal moggy for a week, Shadow will probably have inhaled the lot by tonight so when I get back they will be clamouring for food like the starving hordes.
I will placate them on Saturday with food and treats, then leave them alone on Sunday when I visit my doting parent, so no doubt on Monday (public holiday here), I’ll be pinned down on the sofa by at least one cat demanding a backlog of fuss and attention.
I go to my OB appointment today. We shall see if all these aches and pains means I am progressing or if it has been all for nought.
Apes good luck! Shall we keep appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed for the Apelet to come on or wait a little longer?
Lucky appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the presentation etc.
rio I’d go with caffiene. Sri Lankan spiders are deadly and StickyBuns would prefer you send her the fork so she can turn it into Cthulhu jewelry.
Dreary, dreary, dreary out. A good day to be home all snuggled in bed. However, I am at irk so at irk I must stay. Le sigh.
It’s pretty much any day now, so keep appendages crossed for a healthy happy baby no matter when she comes
That we can do. Here’s to a happy and healthy Apelet!
In other news, my sinuses are killin’ me today. ICK! Also, OYKW called and he wants, nay craves with all his might, pizza for dindin. Thus is shall be. Especially since he’s buyin’.
We had a nice breakfast in Leonardtown, and I’m trying to get up the motivation to start planting. I just want to go back to bed…
more happy & healthy vibes heading your way, Apie
This reposted from my pregnancy pit thread : I went to my OB appointment this morning and I already one centimeter dilated. So it really is any day now! I just gotta get through the night because that’s the day I’m giving a training at work. The upside is the upside is if I didn’t go into labor during training it would make it very memorable
The 9th not the night. Silly predict a text
I don’t remember if I mentioned it, but I started swing dancing lessons last night. I’m tired now and my feet are sore. And I have a date tonight, woo! (Y’all already knew that.)
Swing dancing is cool - we used to do performances at a local Traditional Music Assoc venue - they have all sorts of dance clubs - We sang an arrangement of In The Mood while their swing dancers performed. It was cool.
That whole post was wrong. What I meant to say was, I went to the OB today and I’m already one centimeter dilated. So it is really any day now. I just have to get through the 9th because that is the day I’m giving a training at work. If I did go into labor during the training that would certainly make it very memorable
Was it a Sri Lankan spider bite?
Happy Firday!
It’s 26 degrees above freezing, bright, sunny and breezy.
When I get off at noon I am going to take a looooong hot soak to relax.
I wish I had a hot tub. I could drive to my friends house and use hers maybe.
She doesn’t care if I use it when they’re not home but I haven’t used it for a long time, I don’t know if it’s usable. The hubbie might be home too, he gets a lot of Fridays off.
I used it a lot when I pet sit for them, I’d even fall asleep in it.
I also found out that you need to be careful of where you are sitting before you turn on the jets.
News Flash! Presentation went…surprisingly well! But, the day is not finished nor is the presenting. Will our brave heroine survive round 2 with the boss after she hangs up from a nasty sounding conference call?
It’s a City Closed Friday, and I didn’t make a list of the things I have to do, so I’ll probably forget a few of them. Blah. (Not quite a blurf.)
First thing on the list is call Idaho to see why the water rights didn’t shift when my parents bought the house in '94. I have the paperwork, complete with certified mail receipt.
Feel like weeding the the back for twenty minutes though, because it’s still cool and if I don’t do it now, I’ll put it off. Decisions.
