Nettie the cake is really good. Here’s a link to The Pioneer Woman’s recipe. She makes it as a sheet cake which I usually do but it can be a layer cake like I did yestiddy for some reason. What I do know is I have never had leftover cake. Most of it gets inhaled and what’s left goes home with guests for later.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, purtification for deheathenization must commence. Today is brunch Sunday but we’re not stayin’ for brunch. We have been invitated to go have bbq at Sunny’s and one cannot turn that down can one MOOOOOOM!

It is pouring down rain today. Looks like a good day to stay in the house and tear things into 1/2" strips. I want to shred some newspaper for a worm bin that I need to get started and some plastic bags for a shopping bag made of plastic bags.
This was an expensive morning. Getting rid of trash and recycling was cheap, but Lowe’s got us for 16 ea 1X4X8’ pressure treated boards, 12 bags of mulch, and a bag of weed and feed. Tractor Supply got us for a yard wagon - much assembly required…
I’ve mowed the front grass and put down the weed-n-feed. Shortly, I’m going to plant - gotta change my shoes first, tho. Can’t be getting my good sneakers muddy. Once my planting is done, I’ll mow the back yard. With all the rain in the forecast, I can’t put it off unless I get a herd of goats.

1 The twin Nephews were christened yesterday, so Peyton and Sebastian are now good little Catholic boys. I was unable to attend because of irk but it all turned out well because
2 I have a date. Tonight I have a date, met her at irk last night. Last night was a circle around each other flirtfest. She has never ridden on a motorcycle and I will pick her up on it this evening. She is brave and good looking. Wish me luck.

Thanks flytrap, I am going to need it. I haven’t been on a date in so long, I probably won’t remember how to act. The bike is a good start though, she has to hang on to me.
We have labored diligently in the yard for two days. I am now ready to take a shower and go the grocery store to buy fixins for our Cinco de Mayo dinner of fajitas (which we pronounce fudge-EYE-tis).
