Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a cloudy 70 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and p.m. rain/tstorms/apocalypse. We shall see. We shall travel up to Columbus, Jawja to see the baby today and have N.O.L. Plan is to be back at da cave by around five. I’m lookin’ forward to the drive up and seein’ Miss Martha Ruth. I’ve only seen pictures and can’t wait to hold her!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification must commence.
Just ordered me a tablet so’s I can download stuff to read for when we go on our cruise. YAY! I won’t have to rely on the pathetically weird on-board library.
We went to breakfast, then stopped at WalMart for dog food and soap and a few other things. Also changed the sheets on the bed and put our pillows outside to air out. And I loaded the dishwasher. That’s a lot of productivity!
The show was really good yesterday. I’m sitting here at the beginning of day 2. This year the free wifi actually works in my area, so I’m able to use my iPad instead of my phone. The only mild irritant is the children’s theatre group across the way who keeps playing the same Willy Wonka soundtrack over and over all day. My next door neighbor and I have a contest going to see how many times we hear ‘The Candyman’ today.
Yay! (again) for new (not anthony) weiner dog Baker!
You’ll have to make up an interesting story to go with your new scar, Nuts.
Memorial service for SIL was good yesterday.
A good friend of the family kinda officiated 'cause BIL was too chocked up to speak. Various relatives and friends told stories about SIL. She was quite a character.
Then we ate some tremendous BBQ stuffs. Tri-tips, N.O.T. salad, beans, various other salads. And desserts. Lordy, were there desserts! We got stuffed (in a good way) and visited with folks we hadn’t seen in years. It was a fitting send-off. sniff I’m gonna miss her.
Now I gotta get dressed and go over to the lavender festival. Wifey is one of the organizers so of course I’m labor. I gots things to do. Also I gotta collect my canopies and assorted junk they’ve been using and stuff it back into my storage locker.
It’s a beautiful N.O.S 78 degrees outside.
I should throw the moso bags out onto the porch for a while.
I woke up too early, damn bladder, and the cat wouldn’t leave me alone. I irked two hours and then took a nap.
Waiting for a call from my mother. She told me she’d give me $500 if Sah-son and I would go to church for 4 weeks in a row. I didn’t go last Sunday, this Sunday isn’t looking too good either. She is just so sure if I would just give church a try I would love it, and God will reward me with lots of money.
Maybe I should remind her that the Lord works in mysterious ways, and that I am a beneficiary in her trust.
Congrats on the new pup CupCakes!
Red I have thought about Ruffles, as in Rrruffles have Rrridges, but I think that is a more feminine name. So I may go with Ripples.
Then again, I have been looking at some Chinese names.
I’ll probably wait until I get him home.
it seems we are all moving right along in getting our new pups. Pepper, Muaser, Winston, and ?.
Howdy Y’all! We’re back from our road trip. Martha Ruth is a cutie pie! I’ll attempt a pic in a while or maybe tomorrow since that will be a new MMP. Great N.O.L. at Chef Lee’s in Columbus as well. No rain as of yet but TWPTB keep insistin’ it shall happen. We shall see.
Heathenated this morning. Lunch at Hogwarts was pot roast, roasted fingerling potatoes, squish, green bean and carrot medley, salad and ice cream (the service at this dining hall on campus outclasses what we had in college by miles). I’m fixing to putter around in the patio garden, prep breakfasts/lunches and in the studio now.
Supper was meatloaf, instant smashed N.O.T., beets, and grilled onions. YUM! The dishwasher is sloshing away and I’m about to get back to wig-making. I made a bunch of crowns, and I’m adding hair to them now. There will be many regal punkins!
Thus endeth my short-ish weekend. Back to normal schedule this week. Yay!
I have managed to drag the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. OYKW is preparin’ to soak in the tub. Any food consumption will be via foragin’. I’m still stuffded from N.O.L. Thus Sunday winds down.
I got the oil changed in the Jeep. I’m shredding old paperwork. I made a martini, but now I’m out of gin. All I have left is tequila. And rum. And vodka. And whiskey.
I hate to admit it but even though I can get rained on in Ohio during record droughts, I love the roads and all there. They lack something PA has an overabundant population of — Pavement Snakes. You know, those strips of very oily tar PA communities LOVE to put on every tiny little crack in the road; that make your front tire on a motorcycle dance around like Ann Miller. I did 200 miles around the border to Austintown to Tiffin and around with hardly one crossing my path. From the border where 14 becomes PA-51 I aged 2 years. Especially with all the combined rain and heat we’ve had. And my lovely city here but a bunch at the end of my street and added insult to potential injury by dusting them with sand. Thanks ---- thank you very very much. :smack:
Oh – I forgot ---- I had fun.
