I’ve also been doin’ some cave cleanin’ from time to time this afternoon. By the time I get a new job, da swampcave will shine from ceilin’ to floor!
Well, I was glad to come home to no pee or poo on the carpet, although I did find some cat hork, which was easily cleaned.
Work was dull. I talked with my branch head about what’s ahead for me with my new assignment. I also had to fill in some stuff in a spreadsheet - that took all of maybe 15 minutes. Mostly, I didn’t do anything. But I am looking forward to tomorrow when I get the post-mortem on the slap-down of Idiot Stupidhead.
I know we had a volunteer for the 26th, but what about the 19th? I’ll take next Monday if it hasn’t been claimed yet, since the upcoming weekend my be MMP-worthy. If not, I’ll lie.
So, what should I do for dinner? I’m unmotivated. And tired. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate Mondays??

I have had a truly thrilling day. Worked a bit, went and let the vampires suck my blood (and considering the ice storm we’re supposed to be getting, was amused to be sent out the door with, “Now go buy that bread, milk, and toilet paper!”), waited for Palebunny to do some shopping at Trader Joe’s, came home and threw the Kong for Isaac, and am now sitting at my desk again telling myself to work and reading the Dope instead. Envy me my exciting life, people.
The only exciting thing that happened today is our new insurance cards actually came. Yay! I have a real insurance card again, finally!

Eurgh! I’ve had a headache all day. Not good. I was off but I had to sleep most of the day. It’s gone now so I can finally get round to MMPing.
Saturday I was off and lounged around reading. Sunday I was working but I was a spare driver. We have them just in case somebody phones in sick or needs to get off a train to pee or whatever. We don’t have enough drivers at present so whoever is spare is generally working all day. It was a nice surprise to walk in on Sunday morning and be told by the manager that ‘We’re having a chilled out today. The drivers at the other end of the line can do the work’. So I chilled out drinking coffee and watching tv in the messroom. Then took a nice li’l drive overground and came back for more chilling time. Bit of work later on and sent home 2 hours early. Management are nice sometimes.
I’ve been looking for a place to buy online. So far I’ve found 2 places which might suit. One is bigger than the other but the other has a better garden for my kitties. The garden one has been advertised for a couple of months now and I liked it first time I saw it. And having just been informed that I could possibly get a 100% mortgage I’m actually tempted to go and look at the place.
In other news I’ve discovered a book-dealer at work. He’s a nice, young guy and I have always been friendly with him but apparently I keep making blatant assumptions about his tastes. I’ve been surprised twice lately on his taste in music and the fact that he likes to read a lot. Anyway, he’s decided to bring me in some of his favourite books to borrow cos he fully understands the financial difficulties associated with having a book habit.
