Well then. Made it through the afternoon ok, attended the monthly [del]bored[/del] Board meeting for the soccer league, and then had a Big Bowl O’Salad. Of course I had to cut the salad up into smaller chunks and left a nice scar on my thump which had gotten to close to the lettuce for some reason. At least the bloodflow has stopped…

Tired and think I’ll be heading off to sleep early tonight.
That and the Art Fern Tea-time Movies; the best two parts of the show!
We did our five hours at irk; the wrap-down crew got left with more than they are pleased with. Maybe someone learned something.

We are in for a cool down over the next few days which is a good thing bein’ as it is January and allegedly Winter. No biggie plans for the day. I should ahrn some shirts. Or not. I feel all willy-nilly on the matter as of now. Majik intartoobz pizza got requested for sup, so it shall be.

It’s still cloudy and grey here- the Met office claims some sunshine may become apparent later, but I’m :dubious: We seem to have perpetual ‘maybe some sunshine later!’
Today I’m mostly sitting in waiting for a parcel, courtesy of Ruble’s UK equivalent. I could also do with going to the bank before it closes (and I mean closes permanently, due in a few weeks, which is very annoying) and a few other errands.
Short day for me today. I need to make up for taking off for my dental appointment. OK, don’t *need *to but want to. **FCD **and I have a date for lunch, then off to Navy Federal CU to open an account. We want to set up a home equity line of credit and neither of our other credit unions will do that. The one here in town only does 2nd mortgages, and the one in FL only handles properties in FL. We could go back to the one we had in VA, but it’s really inconvenient, plus it’s across a toll bridge. It’s the choice of last resort.
I’m feeling less sickie today - maybe I’m not getting a cold after all. But I did avoid close proximity to RoxStar last night, just in case.
And on top of that - it’s PAYDAY!!!

It’s a below chilly 28, feels like 23, degrees outside. Supposed to be N.O.S., but is still dark outside. Later is supposed to get up to 48 and rain this evening.
As long as it isn’t raining while we are carrying in the groceries later I’m cool with it.
I woke too early, damn bladder, and I probably won’t have a chance to nap later today.
I get off irk at 11, will need to shower and get ready to pick up the groceries at 1, and hopefully the vet can fit me in around 3ish. That gives me enough time to get home, put stuff away, catch the cat, and get there. I thought about taking him to the emergency vet, but since he is eating, drinking, jumping, playing, everything is normal except his tail droops, I figured no need. His tail actually looks better this morning, still drooping but not as much, so maybe is just bruised or sprained.
So, that will be my day, groceries and vet.
So Much Joy and Happiness there.
It’s grey and overcast again today, unlike Nuts my forecast does not appear to promise any sunshine at all. It’s gone cold too, the bonus is that the idiot neighbour didn’t leave the barky dog out all night so that helped in the sleep department. What didn’t help was me waking up almost every hour again…and having some bizarre dreams about volcanic eruptions and pirates, and then one about a pair of duelling alpacas attempting to kill a postman.
Metalmouse, one of my friends works as one of Her Maj’s gardeners and he is often around the sights of London early in the morning. He posts so beautiful photos of the parks and places like Horseguards Parade and the Mall when they are deserted, apart from the odd bit of wildfowl wandering around.
Apparently I have a newbie starting at irk on Monday. Should be interesting as I have no idea what she’s going to be doing. Better brush off my newbie speech then!
Morning all. It’s 60F outside (albeit with rain included) so I’m at least in shouting distance of Sammie’s weather. Don’t worry, it’ll get colder.
Not much planned today, got some soccer stuff to do and help set up the gym this evening for tomorrow and Sunday’s soccer.

I saw the doctor yesterday, and now I need to get an MRI next week. I have a feeling it might be MS… as do the docs. All the blood work came back showing that it’s not my thyroid, anemia, B12 levels, etc. They ruled a bunch of things out… the next step is an MRI to see if there’s anything unusual there.
I can’t get through to the vet, I don’t know if their phones are down or what the problem is.
I get through the loop and then get told my call can’t go through as dialed and get sent back to the loop to go through again, and again, and again.
I’ll go get a shower and try again.
I hope everything is okay Juliet and it is not MS.

Am being grumpy- not only did the sunshine not appear, as I predicted, but the parcel I was waiting in for hasn’t either. Supposedly they attempted delivery. If they did, it was subtler than the attempted flirting I did as a teen, which consisted of looking at someone from a distance, 'cos they ain’t been to the house.
Also, the delivery company apparently will only allow rescheduling via their app, which I am not downloading, due to thinking that’s ridiculous. What about people with no smartphone? Do they just not get parcels now?
You want brutal I have relatives still in Siberia you could visit. 
It looks like Doggio had a hot date last night.
Neighbor had a party this morning; invited bug, burly firedudes (if you include waist size; hey, it’s a VFD) & gasco irkers by dialing a 3-digit #. Luckily nothing blewed up.
We had a nice lunch of soup/chili and salad at Red Robin, then went to open an account at Navy Federal. For some reason, my email address was flagged, so we couldn’t finish today. When we got home, I had an email from them and I scanned and submitted the documents they requested. With luck, we can wrap this up on Moanday.
Other than that, much laziness shall ensue.
We got the groceries, most everything has been put away, and lunch has been eaten.
A few drops of rain hit the windshield on the way home, but so far no real rain.
I was afraid I got too much and I wouldn’t be able to get everything into the freezer, but everything fit.
Finally got through to the vet, we go in tomorrow morning.
Great!
After the rain this mornin’ it turned N.O.S., breezy and a bit coolish. I sat out on the back porch and read for a while as it felt nice out. Majik Intartoobz Pizza has been ingested. Chillage ensues.
