The Late Night MMP

My goodness, I hope they haven’t sent a “clean up team” as well!

Whew! It hit triple digits this afternoon.

The floors are mopped and vacuumed, supper is in the crock, drugs are bought (the kind from CVS…what were you thinking?) and laundry is in the dryer.

I’m sucking down iced tea by the glassfull to keep from melting.

Home from deheathenating, not much planned for the day. DH is going to a get-together of his former co-workers, which I don’t much feel like attending, between not knowing any of them, heat, and a sore foot. Yes, the one I whammed a month ago is still bothering me a bit.

T.G.I.S. Gonaa make poke chops with sweet **N.O.T.**s and broccoli with 'shrooms.

He was sleeping right next to my bed, instead of on his towel. And Gordie isn’t a beagle, he’s a 59lbs. Jack Russell Terror:smiley:

We have a major crisis here
we are OUT of DOG TREATS!!!

The dog is not happy, I’m not happy because he is staring at me with accusing eyes. Sah-son is not happy because the dog keeps asking to go out hoping that this time when he comes in I’ll notice he is supposed to get one.
Of course if he wasn’t so hoggy about treats he’d still have some.
He’s supposed to get one treat when he comes in from outside.
He’ll stare at me and stare at me until I break down and give him two. Then he thinks if he gets up to get a drink he should get a treat. Of course he should always get a treat after dinner, that is his dessert.
His latest though… he thinks if I go to the bathroom he should get a treat.

I guess I’ll open the box of nilla wafers.

Poor **Gordie **

he is cute!

:p:pGordie doesn’t sleep in the bed? He is precious. He should sleep in the bed.:p:p

I’m up now, just like I was last night (by plan).

You’re supposed to walk the dog, not walk on the dog. :smack:

He’s 59lbs. He sleeps on the floor.(He likes it that way.)

Wow, doggio, that’s a pretty big JRT! I don’t know why I was thinking he was a beagle. Glad he’s ok though. Skritches from me.

Beagle are my favorite breed.

Hi honeys! I’m home!! I’d have checked in from Mom’s, but I forgot my password, so I figured you’d survive without me.

It was a HOT night - Mom doesn’t believe in a/c. At least she didn’t till about 8 this morning when she was getting dressed for church and her clothes were sticking to her sweaty skin. The party was nice, the pool was refreshing, and the drive home was long, but not as long as the drive up there yesterday. On the DC Beltway, they were doing work on one area and took it from 4 lanes to 1. It took me almost an hour to make my way thru that mess. I didn’t want to take an exit because I wasn’t sure where to go. So I stuck it out.

I replaced the lights in Mom’s basement - it was easy - both were plugged in rather than wired in. Then I fixed the extension cord that my sister cut in half. And I did some cleanup on Mom’s computer. So I done my duty.

I’m glad to be home. I’s tahred.

I had a basset hound as a kid. Grandma made us get rid of it because it liked to sing when she played piano. It was loud.

It is hot. I won several beer samplers. Sharktopus Vs. Whalewolf comes on shortly. Life is good for me today.

I love basset hounds. If I could have a dog that would be the kind I’d get. Or a borzoi–those are the most beautiful dogs.

My throat hurts. I came home from irk early because I was feelin’ poorly. After a nap and a pot of hot tea and a neti pot I feel somewhat less icky but still icky. At least I have a couple of days off coming up.

I just watched a classic film*. Damn, that Laurence Olivier was a fine-looking man.

*Contents of film may have shifted during transport.

Howdy Y’all! Home from bein’ chef de cuisine over to the church house. Chikin strips, mac ‘n cheese, sallit, baby carrots, grapes, and cookies with lemonade and iced tea was a hit with the humanlets and adults as well. Plus we adults had a nice wine tastin’ when the humanlets went to do whatever they do when they go into little rooms. I’m pretty sure it’s learn stuff about Jesus, but I’ve never bothered to find out.

Anywho, I’s tahrd and soon to go beddy bye. Like it or not, tomorrow is irktime.

Rosie what? Your grandmother didn’t like voice accompaniment when she played piano?

Last! W00T!

Not last. (snicker)

It’s Monday and it’s Morning…here’s a new MMP - have at it!
