With an actual scum role blocker, that does gives Storyteller’s claim more credit and his reveal he was blocked by what turned out to be pedescribe gave Zeriel the clue to keep him blocked.
With a claimed, no longer blocked investigator out there? I doubt the scum would do that if Story is town, so I don’t know why Meeko still thinks he is the primary target, even when out of bullets.
Because Meeko is ALWAYS sure he’s the number 1 scum target, even when he’s doing more to help scum than all the scum combined. Look at Crimson Glyph. He was the scum MVP, but he was sure he was their number 1 NK target the entire game. Or Night 1 of this game.
He is also demostrating once again that he doesn’t understand some of the terms he throws around. Lynching scum does not remove you from LYLO, only Vigging scum and/or blocking the NK does, and sometimes not even that is enough.
Hey guys, sorry to pop in with another ad but if anyone is interested in playing in a really fun mini game there is a new three clan mini starting over on Idlemafia and hosted by FCoD. There are only 12 slots for this one and it already has two people signed up, so if you are interested hurry over.
It’s a fun twist on traditional mafia, and being a mini should be less time consuming. Check it out here
ADHD presents differently in different people. I have known ADHDers that sound almost exactly like Meeko. I think it makes them too impatient to take the extra time needed to think about what they are going to say ahead of time.
Also, while message boards don’t have time restraints, Mafia does, even if they are fairly long. And I doubt Meeko stays on the board 24/7 or writes his posts offline. So he probably feels like he has to post whatever he’s thinking before he leaves, or he’ll forget, just like he would if he were talking.
Now, about the game: Isn’t it anti-town to gripe about Meeko in-game? Unless you tell him directly to stop something in a way he can understand, he’s not going to change. And, thus, all you are doing is adding noise.
Of course, this is counterbalanced by people who snuggle him, which is what I thought Chronos was doing earlier on. Now I think it might just be his trying to keep people from griping.
Oh, and Zeriel, before I forget, ADHDers consider the word “spaz” to be a horrible insult. In it’s original use, it basically meant the same as “spastic” in the UK, just shortened to make it more insulting (compare Negro and it’s corresponding epithet) Used on ADHDers, and it’s doubly insulting.
Jeepers, things are getting acrimonious. I hate reading along when that happens because I can never tell what is in-game to rile people up and what is people genuinely lashing out. The personal insults are never cool.
Meeko, for when you die or the game ends and you come over here and read this, the term you keep misusing is not Occam’s Razor, it’s Magic Bag. You also keep misusing WIFOM.
What’s all this talk about Chronos being a possible Godfather (even by him)?
Allwalker was a lie detector, not a standard investigator.
To allow a Godfather to lie and return that as a truth to a lie detector is Gastard.
If you’re going to assume that Allwaker investigated Chronos and Storyteller as town, then it no doubt happened from a “I am town” statement. A Godfather that says “I am town” is still lying, and will still be called out as such upon investigation by a lie detector.
It’s not that hard to figure out.
It’s the old “How many legs does a dog have if you call his tail a leg?” thing.
I didn’t have much of a read on cardinal_fang for most of the game but he’s coming out with some good analysis at the moment. I like that he took the time to build chronos’ program and figure out the flaws in his assumptions.
Wow, that was an interesting end to the day. I’m thinking that Mahaloth may not have worked out a tie breaking mechanism and depending on how he decides to do it the game may be over. Anyone else have a read on what’s going on?
Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a mafia game where a death returned no public information.
Hmm… thinking aloud:
IF Jimmy is town, then USCDiver was also town, as Jimmy would have no reason to lie. (Assuming he hasn’t been forced to lie by the smoke monster, which I think is sufficiently gastardly that we can discount the possibility). If so, then lynching Jimmy pretty much wins the game for the Others.
IF Jimmy is scum, then USCDiver could be either scum or town. I’m trying to game out in my head if it would be more in Jimmy’s interest to report him as scum: on the one hand, Chronos has said that his program indicates that if USCDiver is scum, then Jimmy must be scum (if I remember right), so that gives Jimmy incentive to report USCDiver as town. On the other hand, reporting USCDiver as scum, especially if he was town, would make town think it was safer than it in fact was, which has to be in the scum’s interest.
Hm. I think, on balance, Jimmy would have been more likely to report USCDiver as scum if he (Jimmy) was scum, regardless of whether it was the truth or not. So I’m inclined to think Jimmy is probably town.
a sCUM JANITOR CAN HIDE SOME INFORMATION AT TIMES. aDDITIONALLY A fORENSIC sCIENTIST CAN UNCOVER IT. i USED A jANITOR IN A GAME i MODDED BUT i REVEALED ALL WHEN THE JANITOR WAS LYNCHED
The Town knew that a tie could end in any number of ways, the vast majority of them unpleasant for the Town. Mahaloth made this clear from the start. The Town’s number one priority should have been avoiding a tie at all costs. They deserve the confusion they will now have to manage for allowing this tie.
