I’m not sure what you’re mechanism is but I like the way you’ve handled it. It doesn’t seem to hurt the town too much for a tie but there is still a significant penalty that the scum don’t suffer.
Exactly. I was intentionally mysterious about this in the beginning of the game and this makes quite a lot of sense I think. I actually figured me being non-specific and mysterious would deter the ties.
Thanks, it was something I had given up on happening. This game has contained more ties near the end of they day than usual and they always were wise enough to break them up.
Oh, well.
I think that most players in Mafia games are already detered from ties. In this game alone, they have been very wise to avoid them.
I was intentionally mysterious in early posts to the game to try to give them an idea that ties would be odd. Several players even commented about my mysterious statements, so I figured they were being wise to avoid ties.
They were deterred and persisted, which I was a bit surprised. I expected Meeko to jump in and break it up, actually, despite his insistence that he would not.
Quoth Jimmy in the main thread:
(Sorry, bad BBcode skills)
This is convincing to me. I don’t know for sure about Jimmy, but it’s hard to see a scenario where both of them were scum. (At the very least, Chronos gave both of them cover to vote for cardinal fang). Thus, USCDiver was town.
Well, thank Og that’s over. I was not enjoying those last few days and actually hoping I’d end up dead. I guess I can’t really reveal my alignment here either until the end.
I can haz link to spoiler board, plz?
I’ll be profoundly shocked if the scum night-kill Meeko, btw.
Well, Here I am.
Nothing personal Tom, but, your came up time and again in my dice rolls, I even gave you benefit of the doubt, twice.
Profoundly shocked.
IIRC, it came down to trusting 4 pieces of information, over 1.
Occams Razor: Given two situations, the one with the least assumtions will most often prove true.
X is scum.
X is town.
X knows that Y is scum
Y says that Z is town.
Therefore, Z doesn’t know that X is Town.
Or some similar. A chain of ““facts”” were given, and could be trust, at the risk of ignoring that he could have been scum.
His attitude shouldn’t surprise me. But it does.
I’ll Pass thanks. While I am in school elsewhere, you can go learn how to be Cop.
I’m not saying anything you don’t already know.
I’ll bite.
Elaborate please.
For the first few days, before I stopped paying attention, you seemed to be paying attention ONLY to who voted for you, or who said mean things about you, and not even contributing to any of the discussions about anything else.
I knew that I was town. Right?
Scum want to lynch town.
If I am town, people voting me have an increased chance of being scum.*
*The increased chance probably is minimal, but still it is there.
For starting off, I don’t think that, that is that bad a strategy.
You like me, you really like me!
But, I don’t know if you are still following, I am siting the next game out… I really think this is win win win for all involved.
OOSOG [Speculation of Game]
The job lead wants a Hand written resume from me. Have you guys ever heard of that?
The spirit was willing, the flesh unable.
Or something like that.

That’s a little bizarre, but it would make sense if it’s for a job that requires that your hand-writing be legible to the people you’re working with. (And goes some distance towards making sure that it’s really your resume and not downloaded from somewhere or something, though that’s what the interview is for, really.)
I would be closer to conceding the second half of this, over the first. My interpretations are not shared by all, Would you want a game with 10 Meekos and 10 Peekers?.
Yes, my Interpretations come from a different place. Doesn’t immediately make them wrong.
And, I will admit to owning seasons 1-4 of Spongebob Squarepants. G4 Nick and Bloomberg [Believe it, or not] are my favorite TV channels.
You might be confusing my Age with my ADD / ADHD diagnosis.
And, I play to have fun. Fun for me does include a certain amount of unpredictability.
I blame my ADD here as well ::
That was this game!? Man.
Then again, 15 minutes seems to take forever for me. Honestly. [Might get at my post count numbers.]
