Dindin has been consumed. ‘Twas good. Also a cheesecake is bakin’ away as I post. It has 57 more minutes to bake and then the oven will be turned off and it shall set in the oven another 30 minutes. After that it must set for 20 more minutes before it can be refrigerated. OYKW whipped it up and got it in the oven then he left to go take care of paperirk stuff at his house. Thus I am left to babysit cheesecake. It shall be dessert for the big New Year’s Day Eats on Wednesday. Anywho, it’ll be in the fridge before eight o’clock.
We’ll be making a cake here too, soon, for my sister’s birthday, which is on January 1. It’ll be from a mix, though, because I’m lazy and weird (weird in that I actually like cake-mix cakes.) shameful face
My head’s finally clearing out. Honey is a good thing for coughs and sore throats caused by coughs. I’m attacking the stuffy head with chili and it seems to help.

Wow. It’s been a week since I’ve stopped by. And what a week it was. RT was on vacation last week and spent the first part of the week with his children and the rest of his family and then he came home to spend the rest of the week with me. We ran around like crazy and had a blast!
Now I’m out on the road with him for two weeks. We’ve been out for two days so far and it’s fun. The worst part is having to get up and get dressed and make the long cold walk into the truck stop to go to the bathroom at 3 in the morning. You must calculate how bad you have to pee and cross reference that with how difficult it is to climb down the stairs and how cold it is outside and then decided precisely the correct moment to make your exit. Ahem. 
Otherwise it’s a blast. Very soon I have to actually do some work and start filling out job applications and stuff while he’s driving.
I hope you all are doing well. I really did miss all of last week’s MMP so I hope it was a good one.
I guess I’ll get back to goofing off for a bit and in the meantime if swampy’s cheesecake is finished, I’ll be right here if he has any leftovers. 
Well, I was. However, Monday was rather aggressive with me. I have several new bruises courtesy of work mishaps. Banging the back of my hand on the corner of a shelf hard enough to bruise wasn’t that huge. Tripping over a furniture cart I didn’t know was behind me when I backed up and winding up on my (admittedly rather padded) rear end and back was a bit more of an issue. I now have a spectacular bruise on my right shin that was probably caused by my left foot, and I think I’ll have a bruise or two on my back tomorrow. Good news is that I’m quite sure I didn’t hit my head (no tender spots) and aches and pains will no doubt be minor. Annoying, but minor.

Learn Something New Every Day Department - I just found out one of our local Rennies creates coloring books. Not sure if they conjure up the drawings from scratch, so to speak, or if someone else sketches them out and he does the final drawings, but the notable thing is that in this age, it’s still done with pencil or pen on paper, rather than using Adobe Illustrator.
