Since it was pub day yesterday, I went to the pub last night with a couple of friends. The place we’d intended to go to wasn’t open so we went into town and found somewhere else that was happy to replace money with beerverages. A good night was had.
Tonight I’m off to the big city as my friends from Hungary are over for a visit - they’ve been in the UK for a week visiting their own families but tonight there’s a big crowd of us getting together to see them. That should be another fun night out.
I go back to work on Monday so life has to start getting back to normal fairly soon, no more lazing in bed half the morning and idling around in the house all day. I think today I may have to sort the laundry that’s been drying indoors and do the ironing. Oh joy.

That’s been the game of the season with my friends this year. I usually leave actually physically hurting from laughing. You have to be careful who you play it with, though.

still snowing and it’s gonna turn into a blizzard overnight - we’re supposed to get about 8 inches. And I don’t have French Toast fixins! :eek:
But, you do have TP, right? I mean, you’ll be snowed in for at least hours! 
Dreary and gray here. However, we haven’t even received enough snow up in the mountain ski areas. They are literally moving snow around to get snow on the slopes for the skiers and snow boarders.
I’m at work; donwanna, and am tired.
It hasn’t started here yet; we’re supposed to get the majority of our 6-12 inches tonight (that’s what she said). Roomie has figured that her company will require her to stay over at the hotel near the office to ensure her presence tomorrow, so rather than do what she usually does and come home after work to bitch about packing and having to leave, she just packed a bag this morning, and I probably won’t see her again until tomorrow night.

Not very hot, but sunny. We’ve not had any snow at all yet…
I’m feeling much more human than yesterday, which was spent basically in bed. Today I went to the boozery shop to buy corks and stuff to make my homebrew all posh lookin’, and the garden centre to look at plants and nearly buy a cherry tree.
I think I shall be buying myself a cherry tree one way or the other tomorrow- I just want to check the ones a local gardening group has for sale first- they’re only open occasional days, but one is tomorrow. I also want to buy another rhubarb, because mine’s spent two years just sitting there not getting any bigger, and I lurves rhubarb.
C’mon spring… it’s next year already, get a move on!

And I’ve survived another work day. Even tho I slept pretty well - Higgs didn’t wake me, but I woke on my own at 4, dammit - I was fighting to stay awake as I drove in. I did finish a drawing today, so that’s good. And I got my new CAC which was extra-great because it got me out of work about an hour early - I had to drive to the other base security office. Afterwards, I went to the gym and did my 30-minute bike ride, and now I’m home.
When I came in, I thought Higgs had peed and pooed, but turns out she just pooed - the “pee” was actually a cat-puke stain. Tell me again why we keep pets??
Supper will probably be leftover veggie-beef soup, altho I had that for lunch, so I might make something else. We shall see. That’s pretty much the day’s excitement. So glad the week is almost over!!
