Nappage completed and continuing my re-read of the Collected Volumes of “Schlock Mercenary”, my favorite web comic (now up to 18 volumes of daily comics). weather is nice right now but I don’t trust the weather no more. Staying in and eating sammiches for dinner. Need to pack both regular clothing and referee uniforms this evening so I can bug out early tomorrow.

Home. I made a chickie salad, then ran to the dollar store for some dish detergent - I was almost out of it. Somehow, I ended up with a big package of Oreos, too! :eek:
**FCD **is making chips in the basement (aluminum, not chocolate) and he got a bit of a reprieve - they don’t need the assembly till Saturday, so he’ll get to sleep tonight. Poor guy is terrible about estimating how long things will take.
So glad the week is almost over. I am definitely ready for the weekend - and this was a short week!!!

Howdy Y’all! I did my duty with the earl candles at the church house. Instead of lasagna, we et Mexican. OYKW called me early this afternoon and said he had a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for Mexican comestibles (soon to be combustibles) so we went to our favorite place for said cuisine. Thus tomorrow we shall have box lasagna. Thus it is in swampland.

spidey, I saw Jaws again a few years ago on the big screen at a restored movie theater that also serves beer and can be rented as an event space. They made the old balcony area into a ballroom and is a nice place for celebrating or just catching an old movie on Sunday afternoon or Tuesday evening.
EoM is over for me. I usually either cut out early if everything is finished or wind up staying late if someone sends in a humongous adjustment at 3:00. Today was the latter. I think some of the folks upstairs are testing the boundries of our new management team. The manager who asked me to stay was grateful and interested on how it used to be with cut off times.
I need to address a couple of birthday cards this evening and do the meal planning and grocery list for next week.
Arrgh, my roommate and I were driven nuts today by the neighbors, who are attempting to break the world record for loudest home renovations. I was gonna get work done, but couldn’t with all that noise.
Went downtown for a couple hours to get away from the noise. When I got back, good news: the noise had stopped. Bad news: I was exhausted and fell asleep for about an hour and woke up at 7 PM. Not good. Now it’ll be hard to get to sleep tonight, especially considering that my thermostat says 29.5 degrees (85.1 Fahrenheit.) I don’t have an air conditioner, but the window is open. But it’s the hottest room in the house. Maybe I’ll look into battery-powered fans.
Just got a call from our credit card fraud protection folks. Some rat bastard in Orlando managed to steal our credit card number and attempted a couple of fraudulent charges. So our card has been canceled, which is a pain since we use it for everything. I still have the debit card at least.
Unfortunately, we had given that credit card number for a large software purchase which hadn’t gone thru yet and now we’ve got to work that mess out.
Dammit.
I am not happy.
