The MMP is my unlikely friend

**sari **- yeah, I don’t get the upcharge to switch from coffee to soda - the profit margin on soda is crazy high anyway - I’m sure it’s the same with coffee.

Plantage has occurred and I quit. **FCD **helped me by digging holes and bringing loads of mulch. We put in 3 shrubs, about a dozen liriope, and a 12-15 lilies (I didn’t count) and mulched it all. We’re supposed to get rain tonight, I hope I hope I hope, and tomorrow, I’ll do some weeding - even if it doesn’t rain, I’m watering the areas we planted, so that’ll make for easy weed removal.

Meanwhile, I’m resting and rehydrating before getting a shower. I’m thinking lunch will include some tylenol or ibuprofen. Achy-breaky back, you know…

Oh there will be rain, and plenty of it. It’s on the radar already.

So, here’s the story I had to shoot last night… fucking kill me already.
And here’s the one I did recently that I’m pretty proud of.

Happy Saturday all!

Howdy Y’all! Home from mowage of the back forty. Only two of four of us showed up but Joe and I got it done in an hour and forty five minutes. Go Us! It helped that the very steep biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig ass ditch at the front of the of the property didn’t need to be mowed this time. If the other two had shown up we might have been done in an hour. Still, not too shabby. Anywho, I’m home, showered, have had a sammich and am enjoyin’ an ice cold Redd’s Apple Ale.[sup]TM[/sup] YUM!

giggity that first video was ummmmm… special. The second one, however, was uber jake! Good on you for followin’ her!

b l u r f !

Swampy, I thought of you when I saw this. You should be pleased!

I feel for you giggity.

I’m thinking about some lunch but I don’t know what I want. I think maybe chinese so I can get some hot mustard and wonton broth for my achy ear and clogged sinuses.

It looks like rain.

gigity, did the Prancercise woman bring her cameltoe to Chinatown?

Where’s the projectile puke smilie when you need it?

We ran to Petco to get fish food, then had burgers for lunch. Now we’re home waiting for the rain.

**tugig **- that was one scary story - about the driver, I mean. Not gonna comment about the other… Of all the things for the police to blow off!!

Taters, Jim was supposed to be workin’ on TPAid for Venezuela but he didn’t come through, the slacker!

BooFae forgot to say earlier, good microbrews and understands the importance of tp. Now that’s my kinda pub!

Went by Northside Aquatics to buy fish food. They were unable to identify the…thing…that came on some Puerto Rican live rock.
I bought a nice looking purple live rock.

I wonder if you will have angry policemen escorting you to and from work from now on, waiting for you to commit some minor indiscretion. :dubious:

Swampy, yeah yeah I did let the TPAID think fall through the cracks<snerk>. I just couldn’t get to the bottom of it<snerk>.

IRK was brutal yesterday. Left the house about 9:30am and got home about 5:30 this am. We almost had to shut it down for non-payment, so close I was preparing my speech. 1000 or so patrons would have been pissed but “you no pay, you no play”. Idiot promoter tried to not pay HPD who had been hired for security. In case you needed it…

Clue, If you hire your friendly local law enforcement to provide security at your event and you end up “a little short on funds”, find funds right quick because…

  1. They are still on the clock as they wait

  2. There is nowhere you can hide from them

Interesting night

Jim

Back from the craft fair. Did pretty well. Heck, someone even bought my neon pink piano.

Cool!

Wasn’t too late back from work today, but my feet hurt…

Tomorrow will apparently be a much later finish- possibly the wee hours of the morning. Eep.
There was a little more drama than last week’s retirement event- two guys tried to start a fight over an inflatable plastic monkey, and another guy got so drunk he tried to fall asleep under a tree in the staff car park, and refused to move.

Early night tonight, methinks, though at least tomorrow’s a nice late start.

What are these live rocks you aquarium people are always getting? Is this the new pet rock craze?

It’s a nice rainy Saturday and I’m all done with irk for the week. I got some bad news this morning that’s lighting a fire on me to get out of there. More details in the workplace griping thread for that one.

Live rock is rock or hunks of coral skeletons that have microbes and such living and growing in them. They mostly look like wet rocks, but the live critters/plants within make for a balanced ecosystem in the tank. You can get natural live rock - lifted right out of the ocean - or you can put rocks in with live rock in a tank and eventually, the good stuff starts to grow in the rocks. Voila - cultured live rock! Best are rocks with lots of nooks and crannies.

It’s started to rain here - dunno if we’ll get a good shower or just some drops. Regardless, I’m glad I watered earlier.

Something in the air is making my head all snurfelly - ugh! I’m going thru tissues like crazy. Stoopit weather! Stoopit allergies!

‘Tis rainin’ a nice steady rain and I hear thunderboomers off in the distance. We had bacon cheeseburgers and fries for dindin. I got a little fancified and tried the stuff the cheese in the burger thing. 'Twas ok but, we’re both agreed it’s better with the cheese on top of the burger cause that way the bacon gets glued to the burger.

Jim yikes! That sounds like a so not fun day’s irk.

Spaz I meant to say hope everything works out for the best irkwise in my last post but I didn’t and missed the edit window.

In other news, we have dubbed Redd’s Apple Ale “adult apple juice.”

Seizing the TP? Revolutions have started for less!
dinner time, and some hockey(on the pirate feed)

Congrats on the pink piano sale, Midget.
