Swampy I read that as you were going to salt the paper.
I need more caffeine.
Woo! First on three!

I need more caffeine.
Woo! First on three!
Wooo! Second on three! Up and off to work, see you tonight.
Heyyyyy! You already had an Australian on the list, just not in Australia!
Hey beebs, you put my pointer in Fort Story down at Virginia Beach. That’s about 45 minutes from where I live.
Good morning, all!
I feel much better today. I slept well, I think that helped a bunch.
Have a great day!
Hey, beebs, good job. You have me hangin’ out in the lobby of the post office 4 1/2 blocks from my house. The post office is right across the alley from where my late Hubby[sup]TM[/sup] used to work.
I had a real bad case of insomnia going on last night, so bad that I had to call off work. 2 hours of sleep isn’t enough for me to feel safe driving 35 miles into Green Bay, especially with a blizzard on the way.
Off to caffeinate, breakfast, and surf.
ETA: Yay for sleep** Rebo**.
You shouldn’t be complaining if you’re at a beach.
Morning all. I feel a distinct lack of motivation today. Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeech.
I’m not at a beach, I’m closer to a swamp.
I used to live not far from Fort Story - twice. But I’ll never buy a house in Virginia Beach again. (Not that Chesapeake is much better when it comes to city government - but at least we don’t have de facto mandatory membership in home owners associations.)
Interesting, beebs, you’ve got me living at the K-Mart. Mind you, I pop over there frequently for odds and ends, but I don’t think one can really say I live there. :dubious: (Actually, you only missed my house by about 1/2 mile, which ain’t bad under the circumstances!)
I really, really wish I could get over feeling puny. I ended up going to bed right after Jeopardy! again last night, just because I didn’t think I could summon the energy to sit upright the rest of the evening. I’m getting really, really tired of feeling like this. Especially with all the work I have to do that I don’t have the energy to work on.
Off to ingest more caffeine and see if I can make myself feel human.
I put you on a a beach! When I wasn’t sure I improvised. Who complains about going to the beach?! Are you Larry David?! I’m tossing you in the ocean!
(Yes, I’ll move you again later, I’m just giggly like an angry God)
PS: I believe I can change the colors or your little marker, right now everyone is blue. This might be helpful for those lumped together
I don’t want to be moved, beebs, I like being in the park. In fact it’s only about five mins walk from my front door. And now that I’ve uploaded the new version of Google Earth, I can see that my house now has the fancy paved frontage and my neighbour’s scabby old Nissan Micra parked outside.
Wheeeee, day off!!!
The Bulls have this neat thing they do where they have local high school teams play games at the United Center in afternoons. The teams and their fans get tickets to the bulls game afterwards, so it’s a whole neat experience for the players. Today, one of the two high schools in my district is playing against my old high school, which is also the Kid’s old high school.
I figured I’d take the morning off to run an errand or two, and go to the gym before we ride in. One of our insurance companies donated their luxury suite for the night, all the coaches from both teams will be up there, along with a few of us hangers on. My old school’s athletic director is an old football teammate of mine, and I went out of my way to get our team some extra buses, so I got an in to the suite to.
So that’s my fun day. Now, off to it.
Remember the ‘personnel’ isses I had last week. The powers that be finally decided what they are going to do. So I have warnings and suspension letters to give out today. Great
I am drowning in paperwork on my desk and I have no clue what to do with it all
Happy Tuesday!
Tee, hee, beebs, you are having way too much fun.
I just got done with a pitch that went out to over 900 journalists. It’s what’s known in the trade as carpet bombing. I can tell you right now that a lot of them don’t like it but it’s difficult to get that through to young PR execs…especially when they get good responses. Unfortunately, since they go out under my e-mail, I get the responses from the people who want to carve me a new one for clogging their faxes and e-mails.
haze, I was a tad disappointed in the ending of the Dark Tower series. I’d say it was a let down.
Tupug
 !!! No name calling in the MMP!!!
and just because LOUNE often acts like a gradeschooler (pulling hair and kicking sand and what not) doesn’t mean he’s not welcome. We just pull and kick back, is all.
eta: I’ve been thinking about where you put me - on top of the ESB. Long Island is an entity all it’s own, so could you please move me about 30 miles east? Thanks.
Haven’t read the whole thing, just checking in fast again to say thank you, Rebo! for the lovely sleeper! It just came about an hour ago. I opened the door for the mailman with TNC tucked under my arm. He said, “New baby?”
“Brand new.”
“Well, he’s more stuff for him. Good luck.”
Who do I know from Texas… Rebo!
Thanks again! Dopers are wonderful, and MMPers are the absolute best! And it’s fun to get stuff addressed to my internet name.
Yesterday it was all nice and warm in the 30’s and today we have a freaking blizzard warning and a wind chill advisory. The current temperature is -2 (F) and the wind chill is -27 (F). BRRRR. I’m done working in an hour and I’m going to go home and try to stay warm.
Ahem. San Diego, CA please.
Best I can figure, Beebs has me standin’ out in the road in front of the Lee County Covrthovse (that’s how it’s spelled on the Covrthovse)! I’ll get hit by a school bus or a loggin’ truck.
Howdy Y’all! I snuck home for a bit to take a break. 'Tis seventy degrees Amurrkin and sunny out. I shoulda stayed to work cause I don’t wanna go back now! Woe is me.
Oh well.
I finally got around to signing up at Netflix yesterday morning, and got my first DVD in today’s mail! (C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America, in case anyone’s interested.) I couldn’t believe it came that quickly. I noticed that the “Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility” is in Raleigh, so I guess that explains it.
Next on my list is the first disk of Rome (I opted for the one disk at a time option because I’m trying to keep my expenses down, and it’s not like I don’t already have stacks of unwatched DVDs). One of these days I may check out their online movies too.
