I am going to bed early tonight. Last night was rough - I awoke at 2am, didn’t get back to sleep until 4am, then dreamed I couldn’t sleep because people kept coming into my room to talk to me and they wouldn’t leave me alone. I woke up completely exhausted. i am amazed I made thru a full day of work.
Hey folks. Had to go to work to sack another thief, and I have to fire one tomorrow. Any Mumpers want a part time job?

I’m not sure “whiny” is the correct word. “Perpetually infuriated with the annoying insubordinate humans” is more appropriate. Even when I’m doing what she wants, she yells at me. Seriously, I grew up with Siamese, but I have never heard a cat get that bossy tone like Emily can. She lives in constant annoyance at the chronic failure of her humans to live up to her impossibly high standards. Yeah, she’s a cat.

I kinda liked that old bathroom tile, too – although I think it would have been better as random tiles interspersed with a solid rather than big clumps of them all together. And that chair looks great; although orange is my least favorite color, I can easily ignore it if comfort is involved, and that chair looks comfy!
I’m sorry you have to fire another thief, CanineServant. Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone would steal from a dollar store in the first place. Besides that, I don’t understand why anyone would steal from an employer – unless it’s enough to set them up in extraditionless Brazil for the rest of their life. I’m what you call a practical theoretical embezzler.
Is it bedtime yet? I am TAHRED. Didn’t get enough sleep last night, and I can’t turn in till I finish this stupid job. Which actually is occasionally interesting, unlike yesterday’s boredom-fest, but right now nothing is interesting enough to make me want to stay up and finish it; my feet want to be elevated and my brain shut off!

Somehow I doubt I’d get $5000. Or even $2500. I’d more likely harangue the gentlemen to go home to their wives and make nice. Maybe some of the sicker guys would pay me to do just that.
Had nice dinner with a good friend. Her daughter (her of the 20 year old now a single mother fame) is doing very well, and her daughter is, too. Clara is gorgeous-and I only saw a pic! Work tomorrow and Friday and Saturday. Good-we could use some money.
For some reason this made me giggle. The idea of you slapping your customers with a wet trout and them yelling “Yeah! Gimme MORE!” AHAHAhahhahaha… haha… ha.
It’s mildly depressing to think that I could make more money taking my clothes off than I could with my MA. :smack:
Yes, exactly. Sometimes employers are picky about stuff like that, but I have not a clue what it would be like in Korea.

Bossy? Morgan isn’t bossy. She’s perfectly entitled to constantly be chasing after us and scolding us for not lavishing pats on her as often as we should and for not being prompter in observing the feeding schedule. Poor thing, to be saddled with such substandard Humans.

doggio, it sounds like you need to install a revolving door to the employee lounge or something. Either that, or start implementing a more stringent punishment for thieves. I hear cutting off hands is a good deterrent.
And on that note, I’m rolling into bed early. I’ll probably be out like a light before 10pm, despite my intentions to read a bit before passing out. Apparently I’m not as young as I used to be… oh, for the days when I could stay up until the wee hours, go to work for a full shift, and still be bright and perky the whole day through.
Saddled with substandard humans. Yes, that definitely describes poor Emily’s lot in life. How she suffers, putting up with us.

Why am I not finished with this job so I can go to bed? Oh, right, because I keep getting distracted. By just about anything and everything; I have an extremely serious case of the Don’t Wannas. Drat. And tomorrow will be insanely busy, doing the other work that got shoved aside when they sent me today’s rush job that I had told them NOT to send me except they had put it in the messenger’s hands before they read my email. Grr. :rolleyes:
With that, I really do need to shut up and behave myself and get this last chunk done so I can go crawl in bed and (at least temporarily) please Emily. Who prefers me to be horizontal with her curled up purring loudly in my ear to anything else.
In my more cynical moments I do think it’s a pity we’ve done away with so many medieval punishments. We need more cutting off hands, impaling people on spikes, staking out people on anthills kind of stuff. Mwahaha.
