The MMP That Drives Like an Idiot

7:15 to 9:45, then schmoozing, then the travel time home

Will have to check what a noogie is, but I have the feeling I might have to throw something at beebs :stares suspiciously at beebs:

Haven’t we mentioned these yet? I don’t check them daily but I do follow them:
The Most Explosive Girl Genius
Brat-Halla, dedicated to all those here who are Parental Units.
Atland, where the artist just has too much fun…
OotS
and I love Crowfeathers, although I wish the amazing artist would stop complaining about how bad her early work is. If that’s bad I don’t wanna see good.

That, the Dope, a few Spanish newspapers, my banks and WoW- related stuff are the places I visit most often. I mean, Google doesn’t quite count, does it? It’s like being asked about the last book you’ve read and saying “the dictionary.”

Exactly!

Some of it is so… weird… and badly written it’s amazing.

Of course I’ve seen stuff that has been published that looks about the same level (maybe slightly better written but when I can put aside an erotic vampire book because it is so over the top and unarousing…)

My comics are on my feeds, but I read xkcd, Looking for Group (I even have a Richard figure!), Namir Deiter, Questionable Content, Lackadaisy Cats (sort of a 20’s swinger/gangster cartoon starring cats…)…

I didn’t realize Sinfest and Order of the Stick were still going, my feeds for them died ages ago and since I’m forgetful, when they died I didn’t think to go look for them.

throws random stuff at beebs No touching above the eyebrows, you!

Someone has been researching…

I’ve been hanging out in the Korea forums lately, to steel myself for going back this summer, and I have to say I’ve definitely been spoiled by the SDMB. Half the people there have the grammar and spelling skills of a first-grader. And the blatant racism/sexism is absolutely amazing. It’s funny because I never hung out there when I was actually teaching in Seoul. Most of the other teachers I met were perfectly nice people - I guess Dave’s tends to attract the crazies.

Hippo Birdie Two Ewes for Nava!!!

throws confetti

Dotty, I see that HRH has mastered the toddler technique for eating, which seems to involve smearing approximately 50% of the meal on any available surface (including the face) during the process of getting the other 50% into one’s mouth.

Here’s my list of daily website visits (in no particular order):
[ul]
[li]Dress A Day[/li][li]Chowhound[/li][li]Perez Hilton[/li][li]xkcd[/li][li]Facebook[/li][li]Notcot.org (and their sister sites, NotCouture and Tastespotting)[/li][li]Can Haz Cheezburger?[/li][li] Craftster[/li][li] Ravelry[/li][/ul]

Which I guess would sum me up as a girl who is obsessed with clothes, food, design, nerdiness, crafty-type things and celebrity gossip… not necessarily in that order.

OK, off I go in search of N.O.L.

Besides here I hang out at:

Skip’s Place
Umop’s Place
Google
Yahoo

Local tv and newspaper sites

MSN sometimes
Oremus.org (in case any of y’all are in the mood for a hymn or two)
Stuff that I won’t mention, so let’s leave it at that.

Then again sometimes I just hunt around random websites just cause it amuses me.

Ok, time to find some N.O.L. which is what I came home to do in the first place.

Later Y’all!

does no one go here? (yes, very SFW)

How could I forget Ravelry? Man that place is addicting. Just sucks you in and adds to your queue crazily so that you’d never finish everything in a million years (or so it seems).

OMG - SDMB appears to have been un-blocked! Shhhh!!! I will take advantage as long as I can. This could all be Rosie’s doing; if so, thank you so much!!!

Here’s a list of the sites I frequent daily, in no specific order:

livejournal.com (tarragon918 there as well)
televisionwithoutpity.com
SDMB of course - though for a while now, it’s been only from home!!
lileks.com
roadfood.com
newszap.com (for news from Milford DE)
delawareonline (for Delaware news in general)

and a few other sites, including various online game sites (naturally those are just from home … :p), and frequently Ross Mathews’ blog on nbc.com

You’re all forgetting TwoLumps!

I’m ever so grateful that the vast majority of the oh-my-god-MUST-MAKE-THIS!!! projects I see on Ravelry turn out to be knitted (actually, this is usually true of knitting vs. crochet projects as a whole… there just seems to be more love out there for the knitters).

My poor little peanut brain can’t figure out the concept to two needles, for some odd reason… I just can’t get the hang of casting on or doing a couple of rows of basic purl, no matter how long I spend futzing around. So I’ll stick with my nice simple one-needle crochet, thankyouvery much.

Then there are people like me who are multi-craftual… I have more than I could even wish to make. Every so often I go through my queue and prune out what I realize I probably won’t make for whatever reason, bit then more just gets added in… (I’m Arsie on there btw, if you want to add me :))

The greatest strip of that comic

now you owe me a new keyboard!

(you gotta warn folk to put the coffee mug down first!)

:: drives by, waving (yet again) ::
