In case anyone is interested, this is a yummy recipe. I added some chopped onions, and when I make it again, I’ll use another egg, and some mushrooms and broccoli or spinach. I bet it’d be good with shrimp or ham, too.
Whites are all folded. Plants are watered. Supper has been all et. We’re chillin’ - life is good.
**LiLi ** - I’d love some Cadbury, thanks ever so!!
You know… I have to say, the Dope is good for me. Here I am, reading along, thinking–gee, isn’t it nice that wallflower is dating. That’s so nice. Wait–the date is a she. I thought Wallflower was a she–oh, I must be wrong-how cute that a guy has wallflower as a user name! Huh? Did I read that right–she’s married? That sucks! Oh, wait a minute… she’s a she and she’s a she. Got it. Glad it went well. (I am now rethinking all those moms I see coming just a tad late to pick up their kids…)
see how ignorance is eradicated? One MMP at a time!
I spent $1987.89 cents today. It did not feel good. The blasted thing will not be AT THE STORE until 4/1. I refused the extended warranty (another $240); the delivery ($65) and the installation (which they won’t do anyway for reasons to long and boring to go into here) (another $100). But, we shall have a new slide in range soon. I’d show you a picture, but 1. I doubt any of you are that bored and 2. can’t find it online. Got a GE–or maybe its’ something else. Gah-I’ve looked at too many ranges today!
Hello everyone. I am glad the workday is over. It was long and I was more than ready to come home.
Tonight’s chop-chop will consist of boneless skinless chicken boobies, some cous-cous with a little dried apricot put in there, and some sort of veggie.
Last night’s dinner (the steak with the garlic/chili rub) turned out really great.
Not much else going on here. It was cold, rainy and blustery here today. Actually, I’m cold now, even though my thermostat says it’s 70 degree in here.
(Shoves chocolate eggs through cd drive)
The worst was when we got something like four eight-pound boxes of the peanut butter chocolate bars. It was a helluva lot of chocolate. Just being in the room with them made me feel sick, and I like chocolate.
Sigh. Nat is being grinchy and horrible today, and for some reason refuses to nurse on one side, and when I think he’d hungry and he isn’t, is pitching a huge fit if I try to feed him, instead of just not eating.
How much is postage for about 13lbs to Zimbabwe?
[Colonel Klink voice]Was ist (wo ist?) Seacrest? Ich habe eine Idee dass es ist eine <word for horse in German>… Ok, so my cases and declinations or whatever are totally wrong. Work with me here!
I have so much work to do tomorrow. And my car failed its vehicle emissions test. Stoopit O2 sensor thingy.
Grinchy and horrible is horrible–thank god they’re so cute when they sleep…
Oh. [sub]admits to not watching AI; has never seen even one episode of AI. Thought that AI stood for artificial intelligence…[/sub]
Suddenly feels very socially isolated and loserly.
Wow, it’s been a week, and it’s only Tuesday. Feels like much longer than that.
Here’s the short version:
Hubby was supposed to fix loose tile in shower, didn’t listen to me, wanted to put in a new tub surround and now I’m getting a whole new bathroom, except for the tub. I knew this project was going to turn into a much bigger thing than anticpated.
Right now I am damn lucky I even have a toilet in there, as it’s basically gutted.
We live in an old house, only one bathroom and no shower. That sucks, but I’m thinking I will love the bathroom when we are done.
I can’t tell you how many times I have been to Menards, Home Depot, and the local hardware store since I got off work yesterday at 5 p.m. up until now. I’m impressed with what we have bought, we have managed to find some great deals, and I’m shocked that I was actually able to make decisions on everything.
All I have to say is thank Og for a nearly brother-in-law who is laid off during the winter and loves doing projects like this, and for his friend who is also laid off. Thank Og for the price they quoted us after we started. We are getting a deal on the labor, and I’m already planning on paying them more than they said.
Everything that has gone wrong in there has. I hope to have a fully functional bathroom by Saturday. Maybe even a shower by tomorrow night, but that might be a bit too much.
Taxi, all you do to get the shape in that cake is nestle the three round cakes together…in order to fit them perfectly, you’ll need to cut out a crescent shaped piece from two of the cakes. Then the three cakes just sit next to each other on the tray. Use the crescent pieces to make the stem. It does look like a yummy cake.
I love to bake, always have. I find it so relaxing. When I was a kid we always made a bunny cake at Easter time that was done in a similar manner to your shamrock. One round cake made the face and the other was cut into three pieces–two ears and a bow-tie. Then the whole thing was frosted and decorated with candy. Shoelace licorice for whiskers, a black jelly bean for the nose, M&Ms made polka dots on the bow-tie…it was great fun.
I’m hot.
Ugh, what I thought was a sinus infection is something else.
Something that gives me hot and cold flashes, no, not menopause, I’m thirty. My body aches in every square inch, it feels like theres someone standing on my chest, and I’m running a temp of 102.
It’s very hot in here. I’m miserable.
I’m not in bed because the boy is still awake. The Boy.
Luckily, the kids were great after their dad went to work. I’m sure he had a Talk with them first.
It’s very hot in here.
I want to be well! I want to bake, I love to bake! I begged my mom to make no bake cookies for me, I didn’t get any out of her last batch, and I’m the only one here who really likes them. They are my Perfect Cookie.
It’s still hot in here.
Why when everyone else gets sick, I give them the treatment of royalty, but when I get sick, I should pick myself up and move along anyhow. [grumble] Double standards.[/grumble]
I’m thinking about putting shorts on.
Welcome to Motherhood, the Fantasy Land of Surreality–I see you have found Motherhood Hell, aka being sick and not being able to stop in order to be sick. I hated that carousel ride, but other parts of the Motherhood Amusement Park are quite nice.
I hope your beer falls into the hot tub and you lose all your beer. Bastard, leaving us here in frigid temps and gray days. It did get nice today–the sun came out.
I heard a rumor that all the Big Yellow Buses were going to driven out of IL and placed in an undisclosed location for national security reasons. Good luck doing your job once you get back! Ha!
