The MMP. That's it, just "The MMP".

Worked, came home, watching hockey. Off this weekend, so life is good.

I get called “mother” a lot, so thank you!

swampy, sorry about the shingles. Feel better.

A friend of mine’s now ex was cheating on her with another lady. They met and became friends. There was even shopping(although I ended up paying.:dubious:)
The ex ended up married to a conrolling jealous shrew.

Our one member Haze mistyped “Firday” for “Friday” after a Thurday Pre weekend pub crawl. It stuck.

Closest I come to motherhood is the cat and the bird, unless DH or the “young enough to be my offspring” coworkers count.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 84 and maybe rain for the day. I slept well last night and am surprisingly not too hurty this mornin’ although there is some pain. I may go for the extra strenght Tylenol[sup]TM[/sup] in a bit and goin’ back to bed for a while. Da bear intends to take it super easy over the next few days.

Looks like it’s been quiet up in here overnight.

I think I shall forage for some brekkie and then decide whether or not to betake myself back to bed. I figure if’n I’s hongry that’s a good sign, right?

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

**FCD **was up and on his way before 5. I got back in bed with a cat plastered against my side and a dog chewing a toy at my feet. Eventually, we all dozed off, but only for about 40 minutes. So I’m up, breakfasted, and caffeinating. I just finished cleaning up a flower pot that a certain feline knocked over into the dog’s basket of toys. Later today will be re-potting of a couple of my house plants, including moving one into a larger, heavier (and cat proof?) pot.

I was going to do laundry, but we’re promised rain on and off today. Laundry will have to wait, but I will haul the baskets downstairs and sort the dirties. I may even have some studio time today - we shall see.

But first, there are websites to be visited, so off I go! Happy Saturday!

Looks like everyone’s having a lazy Saturday morning. My sweetie just called from the NC welcome station. I’m still sitting here surfing. Lazy, lazy day…

I’m about to start my second cuppa. I need to head out to the farmer’s market soon and then do laundry.

Happy Saturday!

It’s a cloudy 67 degrees and it looks like it’s going to rain any minute now. The projected high is 81.
I have to go out sometime today to get N.O.TP. Had I known we were almost out (down to one roll) of N.O.TP I would have ordered it with the other groceries.

The HFH come back today, oh such joy and happiness

I have to figure out what to get mom for Mother’s Day. Usually we go shopping for flowers, I buy them, Sah-son and mom plant them together. I thought about buying them, planting them and sending her a picture but I’d rather she was here to tell us what and where to. The last time I surprised her with plantings she wasn’t too happy about my selection (pampas grass and butterfly bush) and location. I think it was more about me making a decision without her input as opposed to the actual plants themselves.
Momma isn’t always easy to please.

One time, years ago, my younger niece came over when mom wasn’t home and said she was going to surprise her by deep cleaning the kitchen for her. My niece worked her little heart out, she scrubbed and cleaned and cleaned out the cabinets, everything. The only surface that wasn’t washed was the ceiling. Only because she ran out of time. The kitchen wasn’t just cleaned, it friggin’ sparkled.
Mom came home and walked into the kitchen and stopped dead in her tracks and and asked me who cleaned the kitchen. I told her my niece had done it and my mother just got that look on her face. She has to find something wrong or she won’t be happy. She couldn’t find a damn thing to complain about, every square inch of the kitchen would have passed the white glove test.
Finally my mother found something and you could just see that look on her face. She has something to bitch about.
I have never wanted so badly to smack my mother - except of course that you don’t smack you mother. Had it been anybody else…
Anyway, my mother looked out the window and said,
“Didn’t she look outside? Look at all those leaves! If she really wanted to do something to make me happy she should have raked the yard for me!”.
My niece overheard it and she was crushed. She had tears in her eyes and she said, “I will never ever do another thing for her”.

Deciding what to get momma for Mother’s Day can be stressful. Can be, if you let it.

My favorite gift is something hand made by Sah-son. The time he takes to make a card for me is worth more than anything he could buy. I save all of them.

I hesitate to share this comic because **swampy **may faint. Oh, heck, why not?

Today’s Pearls Before Swine

I laughed.

Usually my mother buys the N.O.TP. at CostCo. I think it’s 48? rolls in the pack. I’ll go to the Dollar Store or whatever version of Dollar Store it is down the corner.

Up and caffeinated, and off today. I may vacuum later.

: faints dead away :

**sari **- your mother sounds like quite the character.

My mom will get a phone call some time tomorrow. My sibs and their assorted families will be going over to help Mom open her pool for the season. When I was car-shopping with her last week, she told me about it and that I hadn’t been invited because it’s such a long drive and, frankly, she had plenty of hands to help. I can go if I want to, but I’ve got the truck and it gets mega-sucky mileage, so I’m staying home. Besides, I need to clean house for my FIL’s visit, and I’m pretty sure the guest room bed needs sheets. I’ll have plenty of Mother’s Day fun. And I figure my kid will call, so there’s that.

Still in my robe. I should probably put some clothes on and do something constructive. I should. I will. Eventually. Maybe.

Howdy Y’all! I did go back to bed for a while. Then I got all cleanded up. I’m now all presentable, not that I’m goin’ anywhere or doin’ anything for which I need to be presentable, but presentable I am.

Spaz, if Rat gets diarrhea, he’ll rethink his tp philosophy. Just sayin’. Somebody please go fetch the smellin’ salts so we can revive doggio. He at least had the decency to swoon directly on to the faintin’ couch this time.

MOOOOOOM if you’re still in your robe you could mosey on down to Wally*World to buy tp.

Sari some people just are that way. These are the same people who wonder why nobody ever does anything for 'em.

I’m good for TP, thanks. But I do need kitty litter - kinda, sorta related. However, I know better than to attempt any sort of shopping on Saturday. I’ll run to Food Lion early tomorrow for a few items, but mostly, I’m staying home.

And on that note, I really am heading back to don pseudo-presentable clothing. My feet are cold, so it’s becoming a necessity.

And I’m dressed - pink shorts, burgundy t-shirt, shortie socks and sneaks. I even put deodorant, altho I don’t intend to exert myself enough to work up a sweat today.

: revives :

I will buy some TP today, since I finally have enough room to cram another mega pack in the megapack closet. After brunch.

She’s my mother and I love her but we have had our issues.
It took me a lot of years to let go of some of the things she has done/said. My grandmother was incredibly selfish and bitter. My biological grandfather denied that she was his. Knowing what my mother went through with them makes it a lot easier to let go of the some of the things she does/says.
I think she can’t help it.

You beat me to it, Spaz.
I want to be Rat when I grow up.

**flytrap **- you’re well on your way. :stuck_out_tongue:

The dishwasher is washing the dishes - that’s an accomplishment, right? It counts!

blurf

Big orchestra concert today! It’ll be a challenge.
