The MMP. That's it, just "The MMP".

From the looks of the weather radar, rain will hit here any time now. So much for weeding.

It got sunny here.
I don’t have to go out for N.O.TP since my niece is coming over to care for the hounds from hell and I asked her to bring some for us.

I’m getting stuff done around here though.
So that is a good thing.

That’s life in the fast lane.

I recall when the iris of my eye was stuck to another structure, Dr. Baltz said, “My your eye is red!” I replied, “That is why your Parents bought you books and sent you to school?”

She said, “It looks like I am going to have to take this great big needle full of steroids and stick in in your eyeball.”

During the process she mentioned, “You have to breathe, Mr. Plant.”
I opened my lips a tiny bit and replied, “noahdoan.”

Needle in the eyeball!

I’m done for the day. You’ll find me hiding under the covers trying to get that image out of my mind.

I’m just glad that her phone didn’t ring. “Sorry, I have to take this.”

swampy, make sure OYKW and anyone else who you come into contact with has had the chicken pox or, at least has been vaccinated for it. You can spread that stuff.

Just got up about half an hour ago. I work closing shift today, so YEAH, I’m sleeping in!

The Princess has been fed, I’m current on silly online games, and I still have an hour and a half before I need to leave. Stuff like shower, brush teeth, brush hair, dress, eat breakfast, and pack lunch won’t take more than about half an hour total. Please note that the sequence of those tasks is flexible.

da **bear **is contagious!! Quick, gloves and masks and HAZMAT suits for everyone!!!

: twitches :
: goes fetal :

Word of warning for all the men on board.
Don’t watch the E.R. show about sex sending people to the E.R.
One of the men had his penis stuck in a camp stove.
Getting that off would make getting a needle in the eyeball look like child’s play.

Tl;dr. Made it safely to Cottonfield County, and will be heading to the wedding shortly, Maaaaan do I miss my former corner of redneck heaven.

:frowning:

Perhaps a diving bell…

Guest bathroom is clean. Cat box is scooped. Dishes are done. We’ve had a few sprinkles, but nothing major yet. **FCD **called a bit ago from the Jawja line - he’s making really good time. Tomorrow, however, will be a different story. He’ll be traveling with his dad, and I suspect the stops will be more frequent and longer. Plus if his dad helps drive, it’ll be slower going, too.

Red he’s had chicken pox, so no worries there. I am stayin’ low for that reason and the fact that it’s best for me to stay low.

Today I have had brekkie, a nap, N.O.L., a nap, had another oatmeal bath, taken meds, and, oh yeah, napped. I’m a little hurty, but still not awful hurty like some people with shingles get. That’s the big plus in findin’ out early on.

It’s begun to rain and it’s really comin’ down right now. Started a few minutes ago with a few drops then the bottom fell out.

::sneezes in flytrap’s general direction::

ETA: BBBobbio glad y’all made it safely to Cottonfield County.

Spousal unit just called - he’s in FL. So he should hit Ocala easily in time for supper. Then tomorrow, he turns around and comes back. Glad it’s not me driving.

Yay for BBBobbio and FCD for making it safely!

Shingles is contagious? I did not know this. I’d be OK, I’ve had chicken pox, and after needling Mooommm! on Facebook all day, she’ll be sure to wish a pox on me, too.

“It’s the stove’s fault! She was coming on to me, the hussy!”

Note to self: Ask doctor about the wisdom of getting a shingles vaccine.

Surprise! RT is home. :D. And it happens to be his niece’s graduation party tonight so we’re getting all dressed up and going. I’ll even be wearing makeup. I’ll be wearing the same dress that I wore to my graduation because I really like it and fancy dresses should be allowed to be worn more than once.

Oh, and the best part is that if he stays on this schedule, RT will be home either on my 40th birthday or the day after!!

Spaz from what I’ve read, the vaccine reduces the chance of getting shingles and if you do get shingles, it would most likely be a mild case like mine. When I follow up with my doc I’ll ask about it. I’d only be contagious to anybody who has never had chicken pox or the vaccine for chicken pox. With a one in three chance of getting shingles if you’ve ever had chicken pox, the shingles vaccine might be worth it. Shingles can happen again, so if my doc recommends it, I think I shall go for the vaccine. It’s a couple hundred bucks or more for the vaccine, which I think is just ridiculous.

In other news, the rain has cooled off the temp big time. 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out right now. NICE!
