Butters I’m really doin’ ok. It hurts a bit but overall as far as shingles go, not too bad. I shall see my regular doc on Wednesday mornin’. Until then, I plan to lie low and not be out and about the public. I can irk from da cave so that’s a good thing. TPTB at irk are good with me not seein’ anybody just as a precaution, so I intend to irk and take care of stuff from da cave. Hopefully on Wednesday my doc will say everything’s fine once again. In the meantime, I continue to take the antiviral med, use the calamine lotion, take Extra Strength Tylenol [sup]TM[/sup] for pain, and take oatmeal baths. I’m also, as I mentioned earlier, lookin’ into the shingles vaccine even though it’s kinda :eek: expensive. :eek:
Havin’ said all that, I did venture out down to the Chinese commestibles place just down the road to swipe the General’s dindin. I called and ordered ahead and was in long enough to grab my order, pay, and go. I needed me some General’s dindin!
ETA: flytrap that fish is at least not quite as creepy as a clown fish.
I went to the grocery store, since I was craving marked down salad. Looks like it’s gonna storm.

I just watched Almost Famous. The best thing I can say about it is that I got a lot done on my blanket. Maybe I’m missing out on how great it supposedly is because I wasn’t around in the early 1970s. I feel that way about a lot of that era, actually.

About two weeks less than originally planned. Off to the uhell store to get a bunch more of the various oddball boxes that we just need onsey-twoseys of.
The good news is the new tenant likes the colors we chose and doesn’t want the blinds back up, so we can just do touch ups on the walls rather than making everything Blech Beige.

Despite various threats and promises, we hardly got any rain yesterday - drat! So I’ll have to drag the hose out and water my new plantings. One more thing on the list…
Higgs decided she needed to be up at 4:45, but I made her wait till I showered and dressed. Yep, I was presentable shortly after 5 - khaki shorts and a red t-shirt. Plus I’ve breakfasted and now I’m caffeinating. Today will be a chore-filled day. I’ve got to ready the guest room for FIL, dust throughout the house, haul the dirty laundry downstairs, run to the grocery store, and now I get to drag the hose, too. If all goes well, my sweetie will be here before 9 tonight, but that largely depends on his dad.
I forgot to feed the fish last night - I was watching a movie on Netflix, and by the time it was done, the aquarium lights were out - oooops! So when the lights come back on, I’ll give them a light snack. Stoopit fish.
Today will be nice, followed by 2 days of hot. Followed by 3 days of rain. And that’s the official weather report from FairyChatEstates!

Still haven’t read a lot. Posting from bed at a friend’s house in Cottonfield County, and we’ll be headed for brekkies in Suffolk, VA, in a little over an hour on the way home.
The wedding was nice, despite the bride taking a dive during vows, and her mother also during the reception.
A bonus was going to the CC Rodeo last night. Got to see a metric buttload of people there.
