Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 for the day. For now I have turned off the A/C and opened windows cause it feels good outside. I imagine later on today I shall have to close windows and turn the A/C on again. Musn’t get overheated in my present delicate condition. 
Spidey gee thanks! However, the pain from shingles has not been too bad. I can manage it with extra strength Tylenol[sup]TM[/sup] which makes me happy.
Today shall be another day of loungin’ about. I shall not go deheathenate due to the fact that there probably are folks who’ve never had chicken pox or the vaccine, especially little babies of which there are a few. ‘Tis best to stay out of the public I reckon. I took some chickin boobs outta da freezer yestiddy evenin’ and stuck ‘em in da fridge. Right now they are settin’ out, still in the package, on the kitchen counter cause they need to thaw a little bit more. I shall crank up the smoker later this mornin’ and (duh!) smoke 'em. Thought that might be nice for a couple of days of eats.

Happy Mother’s Day!
It’s a sunny 58 degrees with a projected high of 81. We put the AC on yesterday but I’m going to open my window for a bit this am. We got a lot of rain last night, it was beating hard enough against the window to wake me.
The only thing on thee agenda for today is to irk.
Spousal unit just called - they’re in Jawja. I guess I’d better start tidying - they’ll be here in 12 hours or so.
Guest room is ready. Laundry is downstairs and sorted. Dishwasher has been emptied. Cat box is scooped. I think I’ll run to the grocery story now, before it gets too crazy down there.

And the northbound travelers are in SC - having FIL aboard is definitely slowing the trip. It should never take over 2 hours to go thru GA on I-95 - it’s only 112 miles…
Gonna be a long day. Meanwhile, I have poke chops to wrap for the freezer, strawberries to clean, and a cucumber salad to put together. Quit distracting me!!!
I am lazing away the morning while RT is fixing breakfast. Yay!

Mother’s Day is intended for me to sleep in, right? So why am I the only human awake? Oh, wait. Never mind. I hear the sprog stumble into the bathroom. Crap. He went back to bed. I’ve got coffee made and I’m drinking it. I’ve also got a load of laundry going. Once that’s finished, I will round up the other humans and we’ll go for breffest. Dinner is at the sister-in-law’s. We’re bringing ice cream cake.
Busy week this week. Lots of work this week and a bunch of civil service tests. I don’t think I got the job I interviewed for Friday, but I’m not terribly brokenhearted about it. Thanks for the good wishes, though.
I may need to slip a Valium or at least chamomile tea into DH as he’s been getting near panic about the sudden abbreviation in the move schedule.
Work-wise, I’m fine. I’m told that my new space will be ready by July 1. Just need to sort out if the company will move my office stuff or if I have to do it. It’s not much more than a laptop dock, two monitors and a phone headset, so no huge imposition if I have to take care of it.
The thing that really gasts my flabber is that the moving company rep made it sound like our stuff will be consolidated with someone else’s stuff. Same truck, different compartments, so it’s not mixed up, but I would have thought we’d have that truck stuffed on our own.
Yesterday’s concert went really well! I only played one noticeable wrong note on the triangle* for the whole concert. And at the very end, I played a gong and a triangle at the same time! I don’t think I’ll ever know how I pulled that off.
*I consider a note played at the wrong time to be a wrong note.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms and those in mother roles out there.
I am the only one up. My hubby is still abed and the dogs are flopped next to my computer chair. In about 45 minutes I will shower and then come down and tidy up the house.
My mother, daughter and son-in-law will be here around 1:00. Once they get here, we’ll head off to a Thai fusion place for a late lunch early dinner and then trek over to a museum for a poke around. My son is still in Pullman, so he’s not here today. He did send me a lovely Mother’s Day gift, and hopefully we’ll see him in the next couple of weeks.

Howdy Y’all! Thanks to the wonders of technology, I got to listen to an audio stream of deheathenization from the church house. It was neat that I got to do that. Especially because I heard the biiiiiiiiig news. YPs wife is pregnant and the due date is anticipated sometime in December. They have a three year old girl, matter of fact turned the big three on May 8th, so Ella Bella will have her a sister or brother around Christmas. YAY!!!
Our Deacon is goin’ to bring me Communion in a bit. She assured me she had chicken pox as a child so all is safe. Joy is a sweetie and wanted to do this for me. It’ll be nice to have a little visit.

My daughter called me and we talked about half an hour or so. She’s very excited about this potential new job, and it sounds like they really want her - it was less than a week from application to phone interview, and she’s got a virtual interview on Thurs and a face-to-face a week from Monday. It sounds like her science-teaching credentials are a real plus for her. And even if it didn’t involve a pay raise, she’d still have an effective pay raise because she wouldn’t be paying $200/mo in tolls. So fingers crossed!!
I’m done my chores - dusting and vacuuming are done, plus the spider plants have finally been moved outside. I still have a little kitchen tidying to do, but that will wait till I know whether they’ll be here for supper or not. They’re in NC right now, moving right along. If they do make it home in time, supper will be brats or weenies, cuke salad, and chips. If not, I’ll probably have a sammich.
It’s lovely outside, the house is open, the fans are running, and spring is in the air!

It has been a rough week but last night I got some Kick Drum Therapy. KDT is when I make it so loud that it slaps you in the face and make you queasy from low end at the same time. I was making my eyeballs jump 80 feet from the PA, every time the beater struck. Sometimes Metal is awesome.

Mumper Movefest 2014 is already getting out of control. Can we dial it back a bit?
Gotta call my Moms and tell em’ I love em’. I was lucky enough to end up with four, yep count em’, four Parents who love me. I have led a charmed life so far.
