and preferably, National League. I’m not giving up my Mets.
NYC has a MLB team in the Bronx. They also have MiLB teams in Staten Island (Yankees), Brooklyn (Cyclones) & Queens (Mutts).
DC or Atlanta:eek:, on the East Coast, San Jose on the West Coast. 4 hours to Savannah from the Atlanta area
Up, caffeinated, and off to work.
{{{Nurse}}} - all kinds if good healing thoughts headed to you and yours.
I saw a TV program about the whole food truck phenomenon - some of them are really amazing - outfitted like a professional kitchen! Pretty much the only thing they lack is space. I know they create a stink around DC because brick-and-mortar restaurants object to competition from those who don’t have to pay property taxes, plus some of the places they park end up causing major sidewalk congestion. I think they’re a neat idea, but they should pay their fair share into the city coffers - maybe some kind of annual permit or parking fee or something.
Not that I’ve ever patronized one. I used to think of food trucks like the old Roach Coach of my early Navy days - a bunch of mediocre pre-made stuff that was pretty much your only choice when you worked mids…
Higgs managed to break out of her crate this morning and she came charging into our bedroom. That’s a pretty rude awakening. My sweetie is still recovering from his toothache and dental work so he’s still crashed. Whether or not I rejoin him is to be determined. Higgs is already back there with him.
It’s raining - at one point overnight, there was a major thunderclap, but it was like one and done. After it all moves out to sea, we’re promised a pretty nice day - with luck, I’ll get some planting done. I am glad I did so much laundry yesterday - I can do more later in the week.
But for now, I have some surfing to do. Happy Tuesday!!

I welcome the company but it’s like taking a drug test. She makes up for it by sleppicng on my feet, so it’s all good.
Yesterday, she was playing a game where she would carry one of her balls upstairs, roll it downstairs to chase after, then carry the ball upstairs again. It was fun to watch.
I get an entire entourage when I go to the bathroom - a dog and 2 cats. And if I want to be alone, I have to lock the door, not just close it, because Taz can open the door. We have to warn all visitors, lest then be interrupted at an inopportune moment. Stoopit cat.
Actually, the cats just come along in the hopes that I’ll turn on the faucet so they can have a drink. Using a bowl is not good enough for them.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 61 Amurrkin out with predicted high of 89 for the day. Warm but not too humid yet. Though heat and humidity does not bother da bear. I is a Summer baby!
Spidey we do tend to eat early. Matter of fact I prefer to have dindin before six o’ clock in the p.m. Does not always work that way, but that’s what I prefer.
Food truck still sounds icky to me. MOOOOOOM “roach coach” is what comes to mind for me as well. YUCK!
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. I shall venture up to the northwest forty this afternoon. This is the trip I didn’t make last week due to stormy weather. Oh well, the good part is I can do what I need up there and then head right for da cave, so there’s that.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Plus we could make fun of all the tourons.
For those of you craving MLB, the Braves are close by. You don’t want to live* in* the town that has a Big Sporting Team anyway. Traffic is horrible on game days. And if you’re in a NASCAR town, the people leaving the race want to drive like they’re reenacting the race.
When you find a good food truck, mostly the ones that cook your order on the spot, they’re great. The pre-wrapped food roach coaches are Teh Suck. I also happen to luuuurve hot dogs sold from a cart.
Blurf, BTW.
When I retire, I have every IRL intention of becoming Spaz’ neighbor. If you spot an old, fat, bald guy wandering around Hippy Hollow, it’ll most likely be me.
Lucky for her it will be at least a dozen more years before that happens…
Today I feel good.
Are you secretly James Brown?
You’ve seen my picture, I don’t think there’s any resemblance.
Blurf. Gotta rush off to work soon. I’m working on something music-related at work - researching information and making a slide show about Quebec country music performers.
That is a good thing, given this is a current picture of his residence.
Morning all,
I usually only have one out of three escorts to the bathroom and only the upstairs guest bathroom at that. The one likes for me to “deliberately” shut him out, then hopes that I poke the corner of the bathroom rug out underneath the door, where upon the majority of the rug will try to make a speedy exit through a small slot. I then must try to “rescue” the rug. Several. Times. Slowly. If none of this is forthcoming in a quick manner, an exploratory paw will appear under the door to encourage the rug to appear.
Irk needs to be over, cause I gots way more important stuff to take care of, like cleaning the house in anticipation of the ‘rents’ arrival. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Happy Toosday!
It looks to be another pretty day. Sah-son needs to mow the lawn.
I need to wash clothes and there’s a lot to wash.
We’re just back from taking a bunch of scrap metal to a local salvage company - $68!!! Who knew we had such a gold mine of scrap!
We stopped at Lowe’s and I got some plants that take partial sun - I’m hoping they’ll do OK, but the whole flat was only $12, so it’s not like I’ve got a lot invested. Once the sun breaks thru, I’ll go out, move some more dirt, and get some planting done. But it’s only about 50° and damp and ick, so I’m staying in for now.
**FCD **is on his way back to the dentist - the tooth they refilled yesterday has been causing him intense pain since last night. I just hope it’s not going to be a root canal…
Sari let me correct that last statement for ya. The lawn needs to be mowed. Sah-son does not need to mow but must mow because the yahd needs to be mowed. No one ever is possessed of a need to mow.
Thus endeth today’s grammar lesson.
