I used to eat raw chives right out of the garden when I was a kid. And I don’t like real onions, either.
Ribs have been ingested. YUM! OYKW is spendin’ the night and takin’ off for the wilds of West Alabammy after we go out for brekkie in the mornin’. YAY! Not for the leavin’ for the wilds of West Alabammy part but for the stayin’ the night part.
I like chives, onions, garlic and other stinky commestibles. Lucky for me so does OYKW. This way we’re both stinky so it’s all win-win!
We had burgers and cuke salad and Munchos for supper - very yum! Higgs was waaaaay too quiet - turns out she was “cleaning” the George Foreman for us. Silly dog. I need to remember to move it to an inaccessible counter when I’m done using it. My bad.
We didn’t get any rain, so tomorrow, I’ll spread a little dirt and grass seed in front of the shed, and turn on the sprinkler for an hour or so. Probably after I move the forsythia so it can all get watered in. It’s supposed to get into the 80s tomorrow - good thing I have clean shorts.
Home from work, gonna have used meat Angus burgers and fries for dinner. Got a new phone. I’m leaving it in the box till I can order a case($650 retail:eek:).
Mooommm!, nice landscaping
Congrats to RentaBobbioette! My Mom was a pediatric RN for 30 years.
Sean, pass what every you’re smoking this way.
Flytrap, I know Spam isn’t Kosher. I was just rabbi-ing you about it.
I cannot argue with that. Some areas riskier than others, of course.
I think tonight is supposed to be taco night. Someone else is cooking dinner, so they will be especially tasty.
And you a fellow Charter Member!
For shame!
Pull over and show me the Secret Handshake!
:dubious:
Time to turn off the machine and get comfy on my recliner. MWAH!!
MOOOOOM how sweet of Higgs to help you with clean up!
Ok, Ima go join OYKW upon the bed to ummm… watch teevee… yeah… watch teevee.
: shakes hands at flytrap :
And once again, I’m alone in the MMP.
: plays airbagpipes :
Hey! Pipe down. Have some consideration for us folks that need a little shut-eye.
: plays softly :
And welcome to the MMP!
I was busy playing silly Facebook games.
Happy Hump Day!
even though it is almost over.
Sucky sucky day
I knew when I woke up that it was gonna suck and it did.
I still have my ear infection and I have some other issues going on that are way too much TMI to talk about. I need to go to the doctor.
The realtor called me two hours before the inspection to let me know that the water wasn’t turned on and the electricity wasn’t on inside the house.
However she was assured that everything would be on by inspection time.
Then while I was on my way she called to tell me the water wouldn’t be on because of a cracked pipe.
It poured down rain the whole way out and I was late getting there.
Then the inspector called me to ask me how far away I was because as far he he could tell he didn’t need to do a full inspection and if it was okay with me he’d just stop where he was and wait for me to get there.
He described the house as a castle build on sand.
All the work inside the house is nice, new windows, new doors, Ceramic tile, he said you can tell there was love put into all the upgrades.
He pointed out things I hadn’t noticed and the quality of the materials and workmanship.
Too bad the foundation is crumbling, the support beams are rotting and the yard needs to be regraded around the foundation to have rain water run away from the house instead of to it.
Basically the house is a money pit.
He estimated a minimum of $30,000 just to fix the structural/water issues.
He was nice enough to charge me only half the price of an inspection.
So it was a suck ass day but it could be worse
tomorrow I’ll catch up with what y’all are doing.

Thank you Doggio and Rosie
I’m disappointed but not surprised.
Well kind of surprised because you’d think people wouldn’t put that kind of money into a house that is not structurally sound. However, the inspector says he sees it all the time. People buy a house to renovate and they don’t know what they are doing. They put a ton of money into it only to find out that it needs more work than they can afford/handle and so they walk away. The banks don’t care because they don’t have to disclose any known problems and if they can’t dump it on some unsuspecting buyer they’ll auction it off.
I need to get or find a suitcase for the upcoming NYC trip. Maybe I should plan stuff better.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, purtified and waitin’ on OYKW to finish purtifyin’ before we head out to Waffle House for brekkie. Nuttin’ but the classiest of places for us! ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 for the day. Not too shabby. Of course I’ll be spendin’ it at irk.
(((Sari))) sorry about the house. Any other prospects out there?
Ok, that’s all I got for now.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Bad night here - **FCD **was up all night with his tooth. He’ll be calling the dentist back today - something he *should *have done yesterday, but there’s nothing we can do about it, is there? Here’s hoping it can be resolved today… But I’m so tired, I can hardly see straight.
{{{sari}}} - so sorry the house isn’t what you’d hoped. I can’t imagine how discouraged you must be.
We’re supposed to see upper 80s today, which means we may have to turn on the air, dammit! It’s only May 8!! grrrrrrrrr
I’m grumpy - I need to go back to bed. Maybe in a little bit. Happy Thursday anyway.
