I have a Toyota. It will be leaving Fairfax about nineish on the great day. It can stop in the local area and pick up up to three passengers. Moderately civilized passengers can expect a ride home, when things get close to over, there at the thing.
It’s going to be MsRobyn, possibly Airman Doors, but we’re going to be minus the small child. The thought of mud scares me. (Seriously, as much as he’d have a good day at the park, I’d like to hang out and visit with y’all. This may still change, though.)
If anyone would be interested in splitting a hotel room, let me know, contact info should be in my profile. It’s only about a 2 and a half hour drive for me, but I’m laaazy sometimes. If I can find someone to split a room with, I’ll stay the night, otherwise I’ll probably suck it up and make it a one-day thing. But I will definitely be there, bearing paper plates and plasticware.
Nah. You don’t need to wait that long. I was visiting my parents with the gentleman yesterday and my father showed him a photo taken when I was about 18 months old. Sheesh, Dad! We’re not even engaged, yet! If you’re trying to scare him off, you’ll need to try a different tactic. He thinks I’m #@#! cute!
I have five versions in the original 6 megapixel size, if you want them. Email me and I will send them to you. (You can print them up 16 x 20 for that wedding day!)
I’m gonna back out on carrot cake again. (No, really, I make it and it’s really, really good. Really.) I’m seeing Liz Phair (acoustic, small venue – swoon) the night before, and I’m not gonna wanna do Suzy Homemaker with her music playing in my head.
I’ll bring Rice Crispies Treats and a barrel o’ snacks (the cheap but plentiful chex mix ripoff).
For people looking for ideas – dawgs and buns, so the lovely Geek doesn’t have to shoulder the meat burden alone (so to speak) – or any side dishes, snacks, or dessert type stuff that strikes your fancy.
Anything you want. Look over the most recent listing of who and what, and make your judgement based on that. So long as we have some semblance of balance between main entrees, salads, dessertitude, and drinkage all will be copascetic.
Shout out to all who have coolers-If you have one or two to tote along, that would be great so we can keep cold beverages cold and also have a source of “clean ice” for those who like a few cubes in their drinks. Ice vendors are close to the Borough Park. Danke.
I have a cooler, as does HJay. The gentleman has a small, electric refrigerator designed for travelling (it can plu into a car’s cigarette lighter). Shall I ask him nicely if we can bring it along? If so, how persuasive should I be?
If we do bring it and I’m safely off crutches, I may throw in a batch or two of sausage rolls, if anyone will eat them.
