Siege, you and I will keep good company with one another. I’m having kidney stone surgery on the 13th. The doctor wanted to do the surgery on the 20th (Wednesdays are his surgery days), but I said “No way! I need to go to a DopeFest on the 23rd!” He said “You want a DopeFest? Wait til you see the scrip I’m gonna write you after the procedure!”
The above conversation between myself and my urologist is completely fictional; it never took place. He really did wanna do the surgery on the 20th, though.
I called Polycarp, but I’m afraid he was out. I told Skulldigger, his wife, how much we’re hoping they will come up to Gettysdope, but she’s not sure yet if they’ll come.
ScubaBen, you’re on, even if tangoing is right out. I’ll also be bringing Fluxx.
My contribution is likely to be some sort of cobbler. I should freeze some of my raspberries now so I can make raspberry cobbler then, just in case I don’t get around to picking blackberries over the next week and a half. So either raspberry or blackberry cobbler, depending.
Maybe it’s time for someone to say where this gig will be held, so that those of us contemplating renting a motel room nearby can distinguish closer locations from those further away.
I’m assuming that it’s to be held at the same park as last year. If I’m wrong, somebody better tell me. And if it’s someplace different, I hope that the place has mud.
Same park as last year, but different pavillion – it’s off the first parking lot, not the second, so it’s close to the playground (just in case there’s no mud).
Actually, I don’t think RT was there last year. Does anyone have a link to the directions from last year? I’m at work and can’t take the time to search.
Oh yeah: maybe I’m just overlooking it, but I can’t find what time of day this shindig’s gonna be. Can anyone point me to the post my eyes skipped past?
