The n00bing of the MMP -- a tale of hubris and temerity

I love technology

I renewed my tags and just finished all my grocery shopping and didn’t even have to leave the house.
The groceries will be delivered tomorrow morning. Not only did I save the gas and time from running to the store but everything I bought was on sale or very close in price to what I would have paid at the dollar store and the delivery is free.
We’ll see how it goes when they get here.

FCM I think some of those pics could give me nightmares. It looks nice though, scary but nice.

ok! assuming they approve me, I found an apt. It’s a little snugger than this place - I may have to downsize some more. But I like the complex - it’s cozy and there’s a park-like area between two of the buildings with a nice little sitting area. I also like and am familiar with the neighborhood, so there’s that.

Plus, I got some sun and fresh air, so yay.

Rosie appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the apartment.

MOOOOOOM the artwork is nice but I’m with Sari. Some of it is kinda skeery lookin’.

I have accomplished, well, nuttin’ today but that was the plan. We’re gonna go grab not to shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet for dindin.

Moooooom - the spots look like the reflection of the flash.

The artwork is a tad on the bizarro side, but if FCD likes it, that’s all that matters, right? Unless you’ll be riding as well, then your opinion counts.

The artwork is steampunk/biomech. There are some that are tons scarier and creepier than the ones he chose. There are also some that are lots of fun - like the pug suspended under a hot air balloon! I know it’s not to everyone’s taste, but he’s done a heck of a job for a n00b with the airbrush. He’s got some polishing to do, then the bike will be reassembled. I get to help clean the bike - lucky me… :stuck_out_tongue:

As for what else we did today - tadaaaa!! The ramp is a lot steeper than it looks, but not too steep for the mower to drive in, so yay! Tomorrow, the new roof goes on, then I can paint. Then we can empty the red shed and tear it down. Meanwhile, we’re both exhausted, but showered and fed, so there’s that. I’d like to be neck-deep in a hot tub…

Back from not too shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet. We also stopped by the sto’ (Winn-Dixie cause it’s in the same shoppin’ center) and got some stuff for dindins this next week. It bein’ Holy Week startin’ tomorrow, there will be no red meat. Just sump’n we decided to do this year. So, there’s stuff for veggie lasagna and fish. Chikin I already have plenty of so no need to buy that. OYKW is choppin’ up veggies for the lasagna as I post. What? He knows how to do cookin’ type stuff. Peppers, onions, crimini 'shrooms, zucchini, 'mater sauce, ricotta and parmesan cheeses make for a good veggie lasagna. I shall assemble it in a bit. That will be N.O.L. tomorrow and dindin Moanday night. Grilled fish and veggies a couple of nights, and a couple chikin based dindins will do the trick.

I’m sure y’all will rest easy knowin’ we have dindins planned for a week.

I used to be all organized with my kitchen stuff.
Used to plan meals and even cooked every evening.
I did some more shopping from my computer, I didn’t need much but a store had some dresses on sale for $10 so I bought 2 of them. Even if they aren’t that nice they will do for bumming around in the summertime. I had to buy a few more things to bump the order up to $35 to get free shipping but Sah-son needs shampoo and I can always use more chocolate. I have gone way over my weekly budget for shopping but I may not have to buy anything again for two weeks.

I can’t get a hold of my friend today, I’m worried about her because she was so sick yesterday. Then her son in law had a massive heart attack too but since this is the son in law that tried to kill her daughter I doubt she is spending very much time with him.

I’m really hungry, I haven’t eaten since noon or something. I think it’s time to go foraging through the cabinets.

Time to veg. MWAH!!

Lasagna is all made up and in da fridge. I think I’ll cook it in the mornin’ when I get up and reheat it for N.O.L. Sounds like a plan.

I guess I’m somewhat lucky, because despite all sorts of other tooth woes, pain with them coming in has never really been a big deal. This one is kinda sore, sometimes. But so far nothing a couple of ibuprofen haven’t taken care of.

I worked, I cam home. Dinner from Trader Joe’s.

Nice Fairy ChatHog parts, Mooommmmmm. And nice ramp!

We bought twofirefish, two peppermintshrimp, apistol shrimp and his goby friend for the 55 gallon saltwater.
Sadly, none of them will frighten Swampy.

The peppermint shrimp remind me of the crawfish we had at Thursday tailgate.

Memo to Self:
When you win the lottery, buy dogbutler’s mortgage and car loan.

The truck’s paid off, but thanks .

Nothing quite like waking to the sound of a cat scratching, trying to “bury” the pee on the bedspread. At least this time, the spread was on the floor, since it was too warm to sleep with it last night, but still, stoopit cat. I have no idea why he does this - it’s so random! So I’ll be laundering our bedspread today. rah.

And Higgs was scratching and barking to be let out around 3:30, but she came into bed with us and settled down for a couple of hours - I guess that’s OK. Altho it is a bad habit for her to develop. Next Monday, **FCD **heads to FL again for his dad’s surgery, leaving me to deal with Higgs alone. Lucky me.

Today’s big plan is to get the shed roofed. It shouldn’t take too awful long - famous last words. We need to get some insecticide - I saw ants of some sort crawling all over one of the rafters. Not a good sign. Stoopit ants.

Just heard **FCD **turn on the shower. I may suggest Cracker Barrel for breakfast, just because. Then we can run into WalMart for the ant spray. Oh, yes, you want my life - I can just feel it!

Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 61 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 83 for the day and sunny. Nice but the pollen is everywhere which makes goin’ outside a sneezefest. This bein’ Palm Sunday means we start outside at the church house for The Liturgy of The Palms. We get to march into the church wavin’ palm fronds and singin’ All Glory, Laud, And Honor. Google it if’n you want to know what that sounds like. Also, I have ush duty this mornin’.

Veggie lasagna is bakin’ away as I post and smellin’ yummerific. I’m surprised OYKW is still abed what with a nummy smell all over da cave. I’ve also boiled some aigs to make tuna sallit which will be good for a couple N.O.L.s this week. Plus also I have a chikin roastin’ away in a slow cooker to turn into chikin sallit. Go Me!

MOOOOOOM the good thing about goin’ to Cracker Barrel and :eek:Wally*World:eek: is the requisite hair in curlers, muumuu and fuzzy slippers works for both places.

Ok, I need more caffiene and should consider what to feed rumbly tummy. Also, purtification for deheathenization must commence at some point.

Happy Sunday Y’all! For those who celebrate, a Blessed Holy Week.

Happy Sunday!

I’m up early, I don’t know why but I am.

It’s going to be a pretty day, high in the 70s and sunny.

The groceries are supposed to be delivered between 10 and noon, so I am up and ready because somebody 18 or over has to sign for them. Then at noon I get to drive mom to the store and to the hospital. Sometime between now and then I need to get cleaned up and put on some decent clothes.

you could buy my apartment so I don’t have to move

I almost forgot. BLURF!

There are ants on my computer desk.

**Ants **on my computer desk.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Time to move the Terro traps.

Other than that, I’m about to venture out to caffienate on the porch, what with it being sunny and all. After that I’m going to venture up to Craven Gap where I shall hunt trilliums.
