The Miltassia orchid Shelob isblooming!
I dragged it off the shelf to repot, and there were blooms stuck up in the top of the shelf, unseen.
Were you gone?
I found the Dope while searching the net for some obscure topic, (I don’t remember what) and found answers. And that led me to other interesting topics and folks.
I seem to fit well, even though I don’t post a lot, and I normally visit daily. Often makes me think or I get new viewpoint exposure.
Although I joined in 2002, I was on the board long before that. After all, (paraphrasing) our motto does indicate that curing ignorance is taking longer than we thought
Woo! I did some good clean up on my write-up for the conlang I’m working on. And made a list of sentences to translate for examples. I need to fix up some more ditransitive verbs though.
Yeah, Ogle’s Water Park would have been a tad bracing this time of year.
Good evening!
Glad you had fun swampy.
We were told to expect OK snowpocolypse of 2013. Out west it got a bit nasty but here we got lots of wind and rain. On the plus side they closed the office early today and it’s a late start tomorrow.
I can’t really remember exactly how I ended up here but I know I followed a link to something in threadspotting.
Mr ems is watching the golf channel. I think I will go to bed.
Those are gorgeous. Orchids are my favorite flower.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and rainin’. Today’s predicted high is <snerk> 69! <snerk> It’s rained pretty much the whole time I was gone from South Jawja but predicted to end today. We have flood watches out and flash flood warnin’s for low lyin’ areas which pretty much describes everywhere ‘round these parts. The joy is over the next two to three days we could have some floodin’ because all that water has to go somewhere and all the creeks and rivers are pretty full right now. Who knows, I might get to experience a thirty mile one way trip to irk as opposed to a ten mile trip later this week. Rah.
As to how I found the Dope, well, I don’t really remember what it was but I was researchin’ sump’n and stumbled upon a column and followed the link. Thus, here I am. I hung out on the MMP back in the day when our founder of the MMP RueDeDay started his Monday mornin’ thread that we all hijacked to heck and back. The tradition carries on!
Purty flower flytrap! Yes I was gone. Did you not notice the huge void in witty, urbane and couth posts over the past four days?
Now, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, it’s back to irk this mornin’ so purtification must commence. At least it’s only a four day week for me.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Welcome back, **swampy **- where are our souvenirs?? Didja at least get us some tacky fridge magnets?? That’s the tradition here at work - when you go on vacation, you’re supposed to come back with piles of magnets for everyone. I got my first last week - it’s from Florida.
We’re promised a cold and rainy day, but it’s dry so far.
And that’s all I’ve got. Happy Tuesday. Send chocolate.
Up, caffeinated, off to irk.
It’s raining. My finger’s still bleeding. Just so you know, Wustof (Wusthof?) knives hold a very sharp edge.
Morning,
Glad you are back Swampy. Mr. Jynxster had to leave for work at 3:30 AM ! He and some co-irkers has to be in Warshington DC at 0800 for a conference and then after it is over they have to drive back. They can’t stay over night due to the sequestration ban on travel issues . Of course I was awake at 3:30 AM too and couldn’t get back to sleep before the alarm at 5:30 went off so I has a tired!
Howdy from irk. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!! Ok,now I’m over the shock.
Jynx makes one wonder if nobody ever considered the idea of a conference call. One can do amazin’ things with teh intartoobz and all these days. We know how to do this even in southwest Jawja! Then again this is the guvmint we’re talkin’ about right?
MOOOOOOM I do have salt and pepper shakers that look like little outhouses to give my sis. We have a long standin’ tradition of givin’ each other tacky souvenirs. I drove everybody crazy for half an hour in a souvenir shop because, well, a souvenir must really speak to me of its’ tackiness. Sis and I take our tacky souvenir shoppin’ for each other seriously.
Ultrablurf.

Unfortunately this is one of those 3 day conference things with multiple talks going on at the same time. Kind of like an industry day thing. They just picked the best day so 6 of them could get the most out of it and visit the most lectures.
I second **BBBobio’s **Ultrablerf! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Cool, lieu!
What are those?
I hope maybe gt can tell us the first one. I bought it years ago for the foilage, then was surprised to see increasingly nice blooms the last two years. I’d like to know the name too.
The second one claims to be a begonia. It was new in my neighborhood nursery. The petals are longer than I’ve seen before and the leaves certainly are longer and less shiny. It’s been easy and hardy so far though, a requirement on my patio. If it stays like this I’ll find a place for it in a bed.
Here we go, Amour.
Happy Toosday aka Happy Pizza Day aka Laundry Day in the the sah-house.
It’s one degree above freezing.
Sah-kid is still sick and stayed home today.
Welcome back Swampy
