Will this be the first MMP up today? One never knows! That’s part of the mystery, the intrigue, the nonstop fun and overall weirdness of the MMP! Who knows what will happen! It’s madcap! It’s carefree! It’s the MMP! WHEE!!!
Ok, if this is the first one up, y’all get busy and hijack away!
It -looks- like it will … and it looks also like I might possibly be gasp first!
Good morning all - at work, caffeinated and brekkied before I left home but will re-caffeinate in a few minutes. Happy Monday all - yeah, I know … Monday but it will be Tuesday soon enough. Four more days to the weekend!
Good afternoon! It’s gone cold and miserable again here, just as we were thinking perhaps summer had come back and we might manage one evening this year sitting outside the pub instead of inside.
Busy weekend, looking forward to a short week as I’ve got Friday off. We’re going to see a band on Thursday night and a friend’s coming down to join us so I didn’t want to have to dash off as soon as the performance was over. Hence the need for a day off. What a trauma!
I need to get motivated to jump in the shower and head out to buy more chocolate chips. There may or may not be donuts involved in the rest of my morning.
there’s an annoying amount of blood in my caffeine stream at the moment, but I’m doing my best to fix that. I suppose I could just go to bed earlier at night, but that’s cr*@*zy talk, it is! Someone please talk me down off that ledge, we’ll all have some chocolate, and everything will be OK in the end.
What is this MMP thing? Ah, the thing that wasn’t here this morning and I was feeling too lazy to start!
Gotta go look for a way to do Documents Management from inside SAP. I know it exists, I know where it is from a user’s point of view, I also know it tends to cause headaches. I’ve been able to make other parts of SAP dance and sing, hopefully I’ll be able to make this behave as well. Mind you, the dance may need to be germanic enough for it, but oh well, waltzes are germanic, aren’t they?
Naaah. I wanted to get the commitment in before I have an Alzheimer’s moment.
I saw in the paper from the town where I grew up that my old neighbor from across the street when I was in grade school died. He was 96, a Mennonite minister, and one of the gentlest souls I’ve ever known. He was also in the “I thought he was dead already” category.
Save your hugs, I hadn’t seen the man for 20+ years. It was just sadly interesting.
I’m so pissed off. nobody has been by to check on Dipsey for over a MONTH - and last night she shows up to claim him. That poor dog has a HOME with us, and is never lonely and neglected.
Morning! I’m at irk, caffeinated and egged (with cheese and fake snausage). Today is my last day of radiashuns therapy for non-invasive breast cancer. Doin’ the happy dance here!
No donuts after all. I ended up going to a store in a different direction from the donut shop. I did, however, find some lovely cornmeal mush and fried it up and topped it with just a little bit of cheese. Yum!
97 degrees and who knows how muggy. I think the Muggometer is broken.
I was painting one of the bathrooms yesterday. It’s one of two rooms in the house that have no windows. Minding my own business cutting in along the ceiling and
BOOMMMMM!!!
Thunder so loud that it vibrated the walls. Sure enough, the Wonder Mutt materializes and is trying to crawl inside the paint can and escape the Big Bad Noise. She’s already yellow in the scaredycat sense - I don’t need her to be yellow in the Eggshell Enamel sense.
Speaking of paint. Anyone here tried that Behr Premium Ultra stuff with the primer built in? If not, don’t. It sucks. It’s taking three coats to cover pale bland beige.
We made a heck of an impulse buy at BBBY - they were closing out a 10-pice set of Calphalon “Contemporary” non-stick stainless cookware for $100 off the regular price. To sweeten the pot (heh!) they also were offering a $50 gift card “rebate” and a dutch oven. Run back out to the parking lot for another coupon… It rings up showing a $229.99 savings, plus that $50 card, which we immedately used to buy new utensils and measuring cups as our were getting pretty rag-tag and ratty. Got about a thousand bucks’ worth of stuff for $360. What really drove us to buy it is that it’s dishwasher-safe. The old style stuff warts up and is ruined in the dishwasher, but other than that, it lasts forever.
I can probably sell our old motley assortment of the dark anodized aluminum Calphalon for at least that much. The nice thing with either version is that it’s got a lifetime warranty, so “used” is pretty well meaningless.
Another cool and rainy day here. And I’m ok with that. My tomatoes are going crazy with all of the rain, and it’s nice that it’s cool at night for sleeping.
I made a nice, chewy wheat bread on Saturday. Hummus for lunch Saturday. KT made a lamb stew for Saturday dinner with company, and I made “lightning cake” to go with it. It’s lightning-fast to make. And tastes really good. This is Birthday Week at work - 3 birthdays in the next week - so I’ll be busy making cakes. It’ll be fun.
