The Office 10/23/2008

I’m not sure how much of this was intentional, but the very final expression on Jim’s face after explaining that they were not “that couple”, and then the camera shifting to the open road was just awesome.

This episode was all about the Schrute, IMHO. Generally, Michael gets all my attention and laughs, but this time I couldn’t take my eyes off of Dwight. When he said, “Why is she marrying Andy?”, I actually choked up a little bit. Way to go, Rainn Wilson!!!

I thought that he said “I thought you were her friend”

I could be wrong though, seems like a lot of people had trouble hearing that line. Overall though I thought it was a great episode!

I peed a little when Michael turned the mic volume the wrong way, and I love the way they executed the scene.

My favorite throwaway LOL moment in this was the security guard’s blues act. There’s a brief glimpse of his face as he’s playing and it’s priceless.

And a throwaway moment within the throwaway moment was the fact that he had his own CDs for sale…

I loved Creed auctioning himself. “It’s all inclusive!”

That was the best moment in the whole episode. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard at the show.

And later, Stanly’s look when Michael said “We’ll auction people like in the old days!” was absolutely killer.

My favorite thing was Darryl’s way of getting himself and his warehouse workers out of having to sit through the auction–by auctioning off a beer with them, right now! And Jim caught on right away.

“You’re making a knife with a knife?”

“You got a better way?”
