The Office 10/28

Thanks. Then it must have sounded like ‘RH’ not ‘HR’.

Community had someone in a Lady Gaga costume too; did Outsourced have one as well?

Is there a definitive Lady Gaga costume? She’s wearing something different every time I see her.

I was hoping but I didn’t see anyone.

Stanley notices, but Stanley doesn’t care because he is just way too cool.

I wish that was the case. I was waiting/ hoping to see a clip of Stanley saying something to the effect of noticing the strange things, but not caring. It was disappointing to hear the theme music start to that cold-open.

It was stupid of Pam, and especially of Jim, to attempt to drill an answer out of Danny. What possible good could come from it, and why would it even matter? I did like that Danny was blunt at the end, after he was cornered while exiting the bathroom by Jim and Pam DEMANDING to know why.

Ditto. And another thing I didn’t like about it was that it was a recycled joke. Back in Season 3 they had an episode where everyone was betting on different things around the office. One of the things was would Creed notice if they switched his apple with a potato (he didn’t notice).

I think them drilling an answer out of Danny made sense. Pam’s feelings were probably a bit hurt when he never called back, and so that was probably something always weighing her down. And Jim could not conceive of somebody not calling Pam back. That, plus the rest of the office making a big deal out of it, got the best of him, and he gave in to his curiosity. Yes, they should have let it go, but just because they’re mostly the sanest people in the office doesn’t mean that they don’t have their own Michael Scott moments. Jim especially is prone to them.

God I love Tim Olyphant. I wish he could be on all the television shows.

The only reason Jim gave a crap is that the not knowing really bothered Pam. I think that was shown after Danny’s ‘she talked about you all date’ response. Jim took it straight to Pam and Pam didn’t buy it, so back came Jim.

I thought it was sweet in a ‘guys sometimes have to do stupid things for the women we love’ kind of way.

The Jim Pam bugging Danny about the date was a bit much. But, sometimes Jim and Pam don’t get to be the sane people. So, it worked. I agree with Pashnish. Jim was only asking because it bugged Pam so much. He looked surprised when she made a big deal of it in the conference room. She’s not usually dorky, but she was pretty dorky in this episode.

Danny got a nice look at the camera moment when he mouthed Gabewad exactly when Packer said it. Funny stuff.

Are they setting up Darryl to take over for Michael!? Maybe! (I don’t actually want to know. I just like to speculate based on the episodes that have aired.)

Yeah, funny to see not only Lady Gaga two episodes in a row, but poker face jokes, too.

Kelly was Snooki at first and then she changed into the rapper I never heard of.
What was Meredith? She kind of looked like a waitress.

Kevin had a couple of awesome scenes tonight. His costume was funny. His threat to Danny was awesome. And, his reaction to Michael’s disapproval was really funny. “bleep YOU gabe!”

I didn’t notice it the first time. I thought Danny and Packer were arguing over sales territory when Danny said something like “I don’t think it’s going to work like you think”. When I rewatched I noticed where the bag Packer was holding was located and that it said Trouser something on it. So dumb. But, funny.

I know Jim and Pam aren’t immune from doing stupid things, I just think that this was out of character. At least for Jim. Here’s why it’s stupid to me; If Danny wasn’t interested in her any more, should he call her to tell her they aren’t a match? Maybe. To be honest, I don’t really understand all the “rules” to dating. Did she have his number? If she was so interested why didn’t she call him?

That aside, what would it matter what he thought or why he didn’t call? She’s married with a kid. And why is it “sweet” for Jim to force a guy into admitting what it is he didn’t like about his wife, which clearly effected her? It’s not as if Jim has the best track record for breaking up with women. It was also four years ago.

Also suprised that Packer was back for this episode. I assumed the next time we saw him would be Michael having to fire him. I guess they really did need to remind us who this guy is before that, since they have him on maybe one episode a season.

I think they’re exploring the possibility of the new manager being one of the current staff, not necessarily Darryl.

According to nbc’s website, Kelly was supposed to be Katy Perry.

The AV Club review of the episode said that Andy and Merideth were “Bill and Sookie” who apparently are two characters from the show True Blood which is about vampires.

So they had Sookie and Snooki?

I only saw Meredith for about 5 seconds. She did have a blonde wig on though. Angela would have made a better Sookie!

Angela was just fine as she was, thank you.

When does Angela wear the nurse’s costume?

Ah, never mind. Just got to that point.

Nice outfit.
