Dwight: Have you ever pooped…a balloon?
I love this show.
Dwight: Have you ever pooped…a balloon?
I love this show.
I loved the ending too, with the main guy (whose name escapes me at the moment) asking, “Why does Dwight do all the things he does for Michael? What does he get out of it?” while the camera flashes back to his talking with Pam after a long day of silence. Nicely done. Oh, and Kelly’s ridiculously long and stupid story about the party she went to with the intern and Dwight finally blowing up.
I love this show.
When Dwight asked if Angela was sure she wasn’t on any prescription drugs, and then she gave him a look, she gave her a look, and stanely and…umm…I think the alcoholic gave them both looks. Priceless!
Although I wouldn’t think Angela would be the “pre-marital” sex type. What with the Jesus and all.
Week after week of this magnificient comedy goes by and I never fail to be amazed by how f*cking *on * they continue to be. Seriously, this is some kinda golden streak, even by best-shows-on-television standards.
Dwight:
“I didn’t become a Lackawanna County volunteer sherrif’s deputy to make friends. (Beat) And I haven’t.”
Ryan inquiring about job ops at the urinalysis place.
Kevin asking for a magazine.
And Pam and Jim. . . uh. Just pitch-perfect.
Did anyone notice how Michael spelled “heroin” in his listing of illegal drugs?
(Heroine) – You know, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
PS I didn’t know “hookah” was a drug!
This was one of the best episodes I’ve seen – it had me cracking up the whole time. The timing on everything was just so perfect. This was a very good Dwight episode – all of his overcharged attempts to interview everybody!
“Do you know what this is?”
“Marijuana…”
“Ah ha! And how did you know that?!!!”
“It’s labelled…”
And his whole description of Kevin, TO Kevin near the beginning. And then Kevin, delayed reaction… “Hey…!”
Did anyone pick up on Toby’s familiarity with the pot?
Dwight: Do you know what this is?
Toby: Northern Lights Cannabis Sativa.
Dwight: No, it’s marijuana.
Based on the conversation, I figured that Toby was the pothead, which is a bit ironic as he’s the HR guy.
Actually, that was Creed in that scene, the former member of '60s rock band The Grass Roots, who is already more than a bit “shellshocked.”
I was really impressed with Jim’s facial expressions during the scene between him and Pam at the table in the lunchroom, particularly when she told him, jokingly, “C’mon Jim, you know you can tell me anything”. He got a subtle, wistful, “I really do wish I could tell her how I feel” expression, then her expression changed to show that’s what she thinks he might be thinking. Very well played by both of them.
Oh, and it was Toby who tried to explain to Michael what a hookah is, and Creed who knew what type of pot it was.
I loved it when Dwight wanted to search Ryan’s car and he went through all the steps necessary to get a warrent and how it would result in the exact same outcome and Ryan says “Let’s do it that way then”.
Great episode :D.
I can’t even picture Michael at an Alicia Keys’ concert!
Wow! I didn’t know Creed Bratton was on TV. What’s really amazing about the fact he’s on The Office is that if you look at some of Creed’s early Grass Roots pictures, he looked kind of like Dwight back then! (He’s the one on the right).
Yeah, that was perfect. She starts out joking but you can see she realizes what she is saying…
So…who did it? Toby or Creed?
My guess is Creed.
PS. Pam just gets yummier every day.

I’m soo getting this for my office
I laughed so hard at last night’s episode, but what I love about the Office, both BBC and NBC is that they know how to make it ‘bust your side’ hilarious and then heartbreaking or touching. I’m telling you, when he made Dwight “Supervisor of Security” I thought I was going to cry. Michael tortures that guy but then he knows just how to make it up to him.
That scene had me almost in tears. I loved that.
I really thought this was the best episode of the season - the Dwight/Michael stuff, the Pam/Jim stuff. We had to rewind to see who wrote it, since we were about positive it was Mindy Kaling. We were surprised to see a different name there.
I freakin’ love this show.
E.
A couple of my favorites:
Jim turning the tables on Dwight during his interview.
Stanley walking in on Jim’s interruption of him.
Jim faking crying at the meeting.
Michael picking Toby “at random.”
Great show.
Anyone else feel sorry for the security guard?
That totally went over my head. Thanks for pointing that out.
That was what I was going to say – Dwight’s confusion/blank look at the end of that convo was flat out good acting
Well, the intern made the crack about “are you hiring” and didn’t want to be tested.
It also could have been one of the guys from shipping.
The Jim interview was the highpoint for me, “if pot causes short term memory loss, how do you know it wasn’t you?” That’s the kind of logic that will just handcuff Dwight.
